About the role:
Our Communications and Engagement team is responsible for engaging external audiences, supporters and beneficiaries in PACT’s work and fundraising challenges.
As our Communications and Engagement Officer you will play a valuable role in shaping and sharing compelling content that brings PACT’s mission to life. You will:
· produce PACT communications and marketing materials that reflect our values and demonstrate our impact. This includes a programme of social media engagement, regular newsletters, press releases, internal communications, creating content for the website and capturing illuminating lived experiences for the variety of channels.
· ensure that all internal and external communications align to our brand
· raise awareness of the PACT brand and our services
· contribute to PACT’s fundraising targets with appeals and challenges
About you:
To be a successful Communications and Engagement Officer, you’ll have skills and experience in using:
· Social media for organisation and event promotion
· Analytic and insight tools to develop reach and engagement across digital platforms
· WordPress content management systems to create, edit and maintain webpages
· Mailchimp as an email marketing tool
· Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud apps, or similar graphic design platforms
· CRM programs, such as Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge

Job Summary – Head of Income Generation & Engagement
About the role
We are recruiting a Head of Income Generation & Engagement, who will be an integral part of the Executive Team, working closely with colleagues to help shape the organisation’s direction, contribute to key decisions, and drive income generation, marketing and engagement. You will be central to delivering our shared vision, values and mission, and will be fundamentally values-led in your approach.
The Head of Income Generation & Engagement is responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious, integrated strategy that maximises sustainable charitable income, strengthens Age UK Merton’s brand and reputation, and deepens engagement across the communities we serve.
This a commercially focused role, developing and expanding our current paid-for services, ensuring service processes, staffing structures and client pathways are robust and underpin Age UK Merton’s continued sustainability and good reputation. The role will be responsible for the startup of strategic fundraising activity across the borough, decreasing our reliance on our current income streams, and diversifying our avenues of income to support long-term service development & growth.

Key result areas:
Fundraising
· To set the strategic direction for income generation at Age UK Merton, developing and delivering a sustainable portfolio of future-focused fundraising that grows income and optimises the supporter journey over the long term.
· To lead the diversification of income, reducing reliance on any single partner or
activity and building a resilient, balanced fundraising portfolio that represent a high return on investment and grows our supporter base. About the team
The Investment Team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our portfolio partners to improve and scale their impact.
The Investment Team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 19 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 6). Investment Directors and Investment Managers tend to primarily focus on a sector but might have mixed portfolios, depending on need, experience and interest.
The Investment Team has a good track record of role progression. All four Leads and a number of our Investment Directors were promoted from within the team.

Key responsibilities
Finding high potential charities and non-profit organisations to join our portfolio
- Supporting the annual cycle of identifying new investments - mapping the landscape of charities in thematic areas (e.g. Apprenticeships and Skills), conducting structured analysis of key impact and financial data and reviewing the current evidence base to identify high potential charities and inform options for Investment Directors.
- Contributing to due diligence of new organisations by reviewing quantitative and qualitative charity information ) and preparing clear assessments of suitability for investment; This includes considering impact and scale potential, financial stability and summarising risks and recommendations for senior review. Requires strong relationship management, in co-ordination with Investment Directors, when engaging with potential charity partners.
- Supporting Investment Directors in developing, preparing and presenting high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.
Supporting and managing relationships with portfolio partners
- Working closely with Investment Directors to support portfolio partners across all areas of our work - leadership, impact and sustainability – owning defined(e.g. impact management or financial analysis).
- Building trust-based relationships with portfolio partners including senior leaders and delivery staff, acting as a valued advisor on practice improvement contributing insight and support while escalating strategic issues to Investment Directors and Programme/Impact leads.
- Working with Impact teams at portfolio partners to develop and refine impact management practices; including data collection, dashboard development, performance review meetings, programme design and evaluation.

As the Program Advocacy and Engagement Director, you serve as a strategic leader shaping IRC’s global influence across crisis response contexts, guiding advocacy efforts that are integral to advancing IRC’s mission. Our client, a well-known anti-poverty charity is looking to recruit a Director of Policy & Engagement on a maternity contract of up to 12 months. This great charity provides front-line advice, advocacy and campaigning and policy work on behalf of people in London beneath pension age, who are experiencing issues around benefit payments, disability and housing or who are at risk of homelessness. The role:
As Director of Policy & Engagement, you will lead the organisation’s policy, public affairs, and campaigns function, shaping and delivering local and national influencing to drive change on social security and housing issues. In this pivotal leadership role, you will shape and deliver our People and Culture strategy, ensuring an inclusive, values‑driven and high‑performing environment for our people. The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Stewardship Manager to play a key role in increasing the financial resources available for mission across the Diocese. Working closely with the Finance Director, Archdeacons, and parish leaders, you will help embed generous giving practices and support churches to develop sustainable approaches to funding ministry.
This is an influential and relational role for someone who can combine theological understanding, financial insight, and strong communication skills to help parishes identify and overcome potential barriers to generosity and grow in confidence around Christian stewardship.
About the Role
You will support parishes and diocesan colleagues in building a culture of generosity and sustainable giving. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Leading the development of a culture of generosity and mutual support across the Diocese

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
· Has significant experience in fundraising, ideally within a Christian charity or similar context

· Understands the theology and biblical principles of Christian generosity and stewardship
· Is confident in teaching, preaching, and communicating about giving in a range of contexts
· Has strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and can motivate others to embrace new approaches
· Has a strong understanding of finance and the ability to analyse giving trends and data
· Is highly organised and able to manage multiple relationships and projects
· Understands the culture and diversity of traditions within the Church of England
· A communicant member of the Church of England (or a church in communion with it, or a member Church of Churches Together in England, the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, or the Evangelical Alliance)

Sophie Hayes Foundation is a small but mighty charity supporting women survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking as they rebuild their independent lives, free from re exploitation for the long-term.
We provide an employability programme which enables survivors to rediscover their skills, build their confidence and sense of purpose, develop workplace skills, and open up opportunities for work placements or volunteering. We also offer a conversational English course, a digital skills programme, and run a survivor network CREW (Creative Resilient Empowered Women).

This role will be at the forefront of the realisation of SHF’s bold strategic ambitions. You will work alongside our small and dynamic executive team to unlock growth, develop new approaches and communicate our impact.
