We are recruiting an Administration Officer to provide an effective and comprehensive range of administrative support to workstreams/projects, which will enable the charity to fulfil its function across Central England to a high-quality standard.
What you will do:
Coordinate training bookings, using the diary system, email and databases to ensure training is organised, allocated and delivered.
Create resource pack for colleagues delivering training courses and workshops.
Help to facilitate training delivery nationally, responding to email and telephone enquiries, ensuring preparation, materials, resources, venues, for all events are in place when required.
Help to plan, contribute to and attend PAPYRUS conferences, workshops and events as required.
Collate evaluations and feedback from training and project work.
Act as a first point of contact, including enquiries which may be complex in nature; assessing the nature and urgency of the correspondence and responding or referring to colleagues as appropriate.
Record all enquiries and contacts using the CRM database and ensure that the database is maintained and accurate at all times.
Assist with managing the office diary, arranging and organising meetings/bookings as required.
Manage stock and resources ensuring that the required items are available.
Administer petty cash as required in line with financial processes.
Respond to orders and other requests for information, from stakeholders, by phone, mail and email, according to policy and keep accurate and up to date records.
Undertake general clerical and administrative tasks to support the service as required (e.g., posting items, photocopying, scanning).
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrable experience in an office administrator role or equivalent
A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and hands on IT experience of database packages including electronic filing systems and online platforms.
Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to resolve issues and identify solutions, seeking support and guidance where required
Salary: £23,114 per annum (NALC Scale SCP 4) progressing by increments to £23,893 per annum (NALC Scale SCP 6)

Reporting to an Engagement Team Manager you will recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services.
develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers.
identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects.

Engagement Officer tasks and requirements:
- Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75+ who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
- Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
- Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
- Collaborating with the communications team to support the widest possible publicity for the charity’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
- Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants and supporting them with persuasive proposals and grant applications, using acquired national knowledge and collecting case studies.
- Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
- Joint accountability, with colleagues, for growing the engagement of older people and the recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services.
- Carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned to you by your line manager.

Aquarius work with families and young people across a range of home and community settings supporting parents to build insight into the impact of substance misuse whilst developing safety and risk management strategies to minimise risk to the wider family.
Your challenge? To support and deliver a new family model within Birmingham working closely with substance misuse treatment providers, and Childrens Health and Social Care. You will deliver specialist interventions as part of our intensive family support programme exploring risk factors such as substance use, parental mental health and reducing parental conflict. This will be delivered through 1:1 support, 5 step focused sessions, education groups, family support groups; and accredited parenting programmes including M-PACT. Shelter is delivering a Peer Mentor Service in partnership with the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST) within Birmingham and Solihull’s Mental Health Foundation Trust. The FIRST service is a comprehensive recovery focussed multi-disciplinary team addressing the individual needs of our service users through tailored packages of care. It includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Peer Mentors, Substance Use workers and Social Workers. Each service user will have an allocated Care Coordinator and Responsible Clinician who monitor, and review care and support needs and interventions.
The Peer Mentor role will engage with clients on the ward and within the community - with a primary focus on supporting clients with their transition away from staying on the ward to living in the community. The Peer Mentor service’s aim is to help people with multiple and complex needs to enhance the support available through the FIRST Pathway.

Basic computer skills will be needed, as well as the interest to develop and learn new skills.

You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations. Who we are
The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.
Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.
Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.
Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.
