The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline.
This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.
This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).
Main Duties
Leadership and Management:
· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth.
· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches.
· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.
· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities.
· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders.
Oversee and support monitoring submissions.
Fundraising:
· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.
· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.
· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.
· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.
· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams.
Organisational and General Duties:
· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity.
· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process.
· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).
· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI.
· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets.
· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance.
Communications and Marketing:
Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

Key Experience and Skills:

· Financial literacy and management experience, confidence in working with budgets, creating a financial narrative, and working with databases.
· Demonstrably outstanding written communication skills with the ability to write compelling copy, tailored to a range of audiences and platforms.

· Articulate speaker, able to present and repackage complex information in succinct and digestible format.

· Excellent working knowledge of voluntary sector funding streams.

Dr Jenner’s House, The Chantry, is a site of profound global historical significance, recognized as the birthplace of vaccination. It was here that Edward Jenner, a country doctor and enlightenment figure, conducted his groundbreaking work in the 1790s, leading to the world's first vaccine and a medical breakthrough that forever changed humanity.

The Opportunity
The Jenner Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to join our team during a pivotal phase of growth and development, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of a globally significant heritage site.
Working collaboratively in a small team with the Museum Director, Chairman, and Trustees, you will be instrumental in driving our fundraising efforts, securing vital income, and building sustainable relationships that will ensure the long-term preservation and educational outreach of Dr Jenner’s House. A key focus will be on developing and implementing a robust capital fundraising strategy and cultivating major grant giving organisations and individual donors.
This role is funded for 18 months through the NLHF and is critical to achieving our ambitious longer-term goals, leading up to the international celebrations around the 50th anniversary of smallpox eradication in 2030 and beyond. Although there will be a requirement to be present in the Museum at certain times, we are open to discussions on hybrid or flexible working arrangements for this post.
Key Responsibilities
As our Development Manager, you will:
Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the museum’s comprehensive Fundraising Strategy, establishing clear action plans, KPIs, and targets.
- Establish and facilitate a Fundraising Leadership Group comprising Trustees, staff, volunteers, and external consultants to leverage expertise and resources for fundraising activities.
- Ensure the Fundraising Strategy incorporates ongoing work with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, particularly for the restoration of the Temple of Vaccinia and The Chantry.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship:
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing individual donors, high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and foundations to build a robust pipeline of future support.
- Drive a proactive stewardship programme for all potential and existing donors, ensuring exceptional donor care and fostering sustained engagement.
- Support the development and delivery of the museum’s patron schemes in close collaboration with the Chairman of the Trustees.
Income Generation & Grant Management:
- Identify and review new avenues for potential capital and revenue grant funding opportunities (unrestricted and restricted).
- Lead and coordinate compelling grant funding applications to a diverse range of potential funding bodies, including NGOs, Trusts, Foundations, philanthropists, and local authorities.
- Inspire new and existing supporters to join the museum’s membership and/or donor schemes, significantly increasing the museum’s income (both revenue and capital) to meet agreed targets.
- Ensure grant-funded projects are appropriately managed, and all requisite monitoring and evaluation reports are submitted to funding bodies on time.
Communications & Engagement:
- Produce engaging copy and content for newsletters and assist with external communications, including social media, press releases, and other PR and marketing opportunities, to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Organise and manage fundraising and donor cultivation events, ranging from low-level individual giving activities to major high-level events, especially plans for the 50th anniversary of the eradication of smallpox in 2030.
With such a small staff team we are looking for a candidate who is able to work collaboratively and to support other staff and Trustees in securing the future for the Trust.
Skills and Experience

About the role

This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities.
We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.
This role is responsible for:
- Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
- Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
- Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
- Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
- Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology

- Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies

About the role
The Senegal team are looking to recruit a Programme Manager Eye Health to oversee the development, co-ordination and management of Sightsavers programmes in Senegal. The postholder will ensure alignment with Sightsavers policies and preferred programme approaches (in particular the principles of scalable demonstration approaches) working closely with the Country Director to maintain in- house quality standards on the delivery of programmes.

Key accountabilities but not limited to:

- Work with the finance team to ensure proper partner accountability for Sightsavers funds.
- Identify new strategic partnerships within the country to help develop Sightsavers eye health programme.
- Participate in all PR activities of the Country Office and represent Sightsavers at different forums in collaboration with the Country Director.
Essential knowledge and skills
- Degree in Medicine, preferably an Ophthalmologist or Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, Sciences or related disciplines.
- A proven track record within Programme/Project management, ideally in an INGO environment at PM level.
- Significant experience of strategic programme development.
- Technical knowledge on eye health in Senegal.
- Experience of managing an eye care programme in Africa, ideally in an international context.
- Strong advocacy, monitoring evaluation and research and logistics and supply chain management
- Current and ongoing right to work in Senegal
- Able to travel as and when required

Services delivered by the Alliance include the city and county outreach services for people experiencing rough sleeping, supported accommodation such as the hostel O’Hanlon House, shared dispersed supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention services.
The Alliance is commissioned through a pooled annual budget of c£3.8m which all District Councils in Oxfordshire, the City Council, the County Council, and the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Services, contribute towards. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City are the lead commissioners of the Alliance.
As part of the initiative, the Alliance will deliver an ambitious housing led change programme which is seeing services remodelled to support and enable people to live in their own homes and fulfil their aspirations.

Purpose of role: To support international conservation grants programmes and lead on the development of our 220 strong global Winner Network at WFN: an impactful fundraising and grant-giving wildlife conservation charity focused on supporting grassroots projects across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Our funding is raised each year, mainly from family trusts and foundations, as well as from individuals, corporates, and international NGOs, with a current annual income of around £2.6m/year. We raise funds based on winner need, and in the coming years are seeking to steadily grow what we provide in support to winners, and so are bolstering the capacity of our team in line with this ambition.
The Opportunity
This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. As part of this programme the Grants and Network Manager (GNM) will help with delivery of annual thematic training workshops, with opportunity for international travel. The GNM will also assist our Head of Grants (HG) in monitoring our portfolio of active grants, with support from the Grants Assistant (GA). The GNM will also participate in the Whitley Awards application process by helping to screen the grant applications and supporting with due diligence. If you have a conservation background, and experience with capacity development programmes, proactively managing growing networks, and monitoring active grants, then this is the role for you.
GRANTS AND NETWORK MANAGER - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Essential:
· MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Conservation/ Zoology/ Environmental Science)
· Experience cultivating and managing networks of people, with a proven track record of successful engagement and network growth
· Requisite experience in managing a portfolio of active grants within the environmental NGO sector including ongoing monitoring and evaluation
· Past experience with capacity development initiatives and/or facilitating trainings and events, including organising logistics
· Demonstrable understanding of grassroots conservation projects, issues, and solutions
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels (interface with team members, trustees, international grantees, donors, external assessors, suppliers)
· Innovative and strategic thinker; able to spot opportunities to maximise the collective impact of our winner network
· Efficient and organised, with high attention to detail whilst ensuring deadlines are met
· Proven ability in effective budgeting, negotiating and budget management
· Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
· Flexible ‘can do’ approach and will flourish in a small office environment
Desirable:
· Experience working and/or travelling in the Global South
· Experience using Salesforce/CRM databases
· Experience working with high profile individuals

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Direct Marketing Manager’ to join its award-winning and established team. The role is to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
The Direct Marketing Manager has operational and strategic responsibility in developing and implementing the Islamic Relief UK direct marketing programme. This includes the following key direct marketing channels: Email, SMS, Direct Mail, OOH and DRTV. The postholder will ensure the delivery of cross-channel, high profile and impactful marketing campaigns that drive action and improve supporter retention.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
- Educated to Degree level, or equivalent standard
- Professional qualification in Marketing
- Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Commercially aware with good understanding of budget management and ROI
- An aptitude to plan annually, multiple campaigns and activities
- An understanding of marketing and other current marketing trends
- An ability to manage multiple projects
- An understanding of marketing strategy, marketing techniques, and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques
- Proven record of excellent people and interpersonal skills with strong communication skills at individual and group levels.

- Implementing successful customer/donor journeys across all direct marketing channels
- Raising funds/generating profit across all direct marketing channels
- Demonstrable experience of using email marketing platforms to develop customer journeys, raise funds and drive engagement with customers/donors
- Third sector experience, specifically within a marketing led role
- Experience of influencing and managing a wide range of stakeholders in a complex organisation
- Practical experience of successfully managing marketing budgets, evaluation and monitoring systems
- Proven experience in planning and project management, with the skills to engage colleagues and support at all levels
- Experience of building, developing and managing strategic partnerships with business suppliers (including creative and buying agencies), ensuring development of clear briefs, value-for-money, achievement of results, compliance and commitment to an organisations values and goals
- Experience of working with data management/analysis teams
