We're looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join UNJUST and support the development and delivery of community engagement activities that amplify lived experience, build trust, raise awareness and contribute to our research, policy and advocacy aims.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll build and maintain relationships with community groups, grassroots organisations and individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system. You'll design and deliver engagement events, facilitate workshops and listening sessions, promote opportunities for community members to get involved in UNJUST's work and help develop creative, ethical ways of gathering and sharing lived experience stories.
The role also includes co-creating programmes and materials with communities, supporting content creation for social media, recruiting interns and volunteers from impacted communities, and representing UNJUST in relevant forums, networks and coalitions.
We're looking for someone with experience in community engagement, organising or outreach, strong relationship-building and communication skills, and an understanding of racial justice and the UK criminal justice system. You'll be committed to UNJUST's mission, values and anti-racist working practices, and be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations
· Provide operational support and cover to ensure the smooth running of the office. This includes:
o Coordinating IT issues.
o Managing office supplies: tracking office inventory, replenishing supplies when needed, and managing stock levels including stationery and branded clothing.
o Handling incoming and outgoing post, packages, and courier deliveries.
o Ensuring proper storage facilities and maintaining meeting rooms and office space.
o Liaising with office contractors and service providers to ensure the efficient functioning of the office.
o Setting up laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other IT office equipment.
o Oversee office maintenance tasks, such as PAT tests, storage management, fire extinguisher checks, air-conditioning maintenance, and other ad hoc maintenance requirements.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment in the office. This includes serving as a Health & Safety marshal, conducting regular checks like DSE tests, weekly Fire Alarm testing and monthly water testing, and conducting refresher workshops and fire evacuation practices with staff.
· Liaising with IT to ensure all new joiner IT equipment and software is set up prior to their first day.
· Completing an onboarding session about Health & Safety and IT on the new joiners' first day.
Support CEO/SMT
· Support the arrangements for full team meetings, board meetings and board away day, including room bookings, hotel arrangements, catering and coordinating invites.
Other
· Coordinate volunteers in the office, including processing their applications, conducting inductions, and organising their activities.
· Respond to and direct general office inquiries by phone or email.
· Attend Fundraising Major Events and provide administrative support.
· Help in delivery logistics of items sent out from the Back Up office to units and outreach.

Job summary
This role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers and Support Officer across the UK in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The postholder will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited training across the UK.
The person
You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. You will have a friendly and professional approach to working with families and professionals and be highly organised to manage planning, delivery and relevant paperwork for all wheelchair skills services.
Key accountabilities
- Coordination and delivery of wheelchair skills training, travel training and train the trainer across the UK.
- Conduct on site visits prior to delivery of travel training to plan routes and inform risk assessments.
- Book relevant modes of transport for travel training sessions.
- Writing Service Level Agreements for key partners; content providers and schools.
- Obtaining information from content providers and schools, such as Public Liability, DBS and key Risk Assessments.
- Writing Care Plans & Risk Assessments.
- Ensure schools complete paperwork for accredited services and liaise with Skills & Education group regarding learners
- Sending event invites to young people and families and updating the database as required.
- Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.
- Promoting Whizz Kidz services to third party organisations in order to drive new applications/referrals.
- Attending events such as Kidz to Adultz exhibitions to promote Whizz Kidz and showcase wheelchair skills training.
- Ensuring feedback and monitoring data is collected at each event and at set intervals after the event in order to measure long term impact.
- Collate information for case studies to measure impact of training.
- Liaising with Trainers when required.
- Liaising with young people, families and schools as required.

- Attending Whizz Kidz services across the country if required in order to support the Service Delivery Managers and Services Support Officer.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to provide 12-month interim cover for our conference and events function.
The postholder will oversee the work of the Events team; consisting of an Events Coordinator and Events Administrator who are responsible for supporting the overall events programme. In addition, for the Conference Provision, there is a longstanding Volunteer Conference Organiser who holds significant institutional knowledge, an external Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) and a National Conferences Programme Advisory Group (NCPAG), who lead the process of determining academic content for the conferences.

Location and Working Hours
This is a home-based role with flexible remote working arrangements. Regular travel across the UK is required to support conferences, trustee and committee meetings, planning days, and other organisational activities. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed in line with UKATA policies.
We are looking for someone who can work 30 hours across at least four days a week, primarily during normal weekday office hours. Some flexibility will be required to attend occasional evening meetings and weekend events.
Salary
The full-time equivalent salary for this role is £40,000. The pro rata salary is £32,000.

The Delivery Coordinator on the Approach Social Work Programme, organises the programme logistics, meetings, panels and events on behalf of the region. This includes the procurement of Teaching Day venues, liaising with other teams to ensure the smooth running of events and note-taking in meetings and panels while acting as a point of call for the team and participants.
The Delivery Coordinator is crucial to supporting the work of the wider team by supporting colleagues to ensure the efficient use of resources and scheduling that achieves the smooth Delivery of the Approach Social Work Programme.
The role requires someone who is skilled at building positive relationships with people in addition to being highly organised and the ability to manage multiple areas of work and use initiative to resolve issues. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is also essential.

Programme Coordinator
The Race Equality Foundation has been awarded a transformative multi-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF) as part of its Health Inequities: Structural Racism and Discrimination Partnership. The programme will establish three Anti-Racism Collaboratives (ARCs), each bringing together voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, people with lived experience, health and care organisations, local authorities and other partners to tackle the structural causes of ethnic health inequities through co-production, evidence and collective action.
As Programme Coordinator, you will play a central role in enabling the successful delivery of this ambitious programme. Working closely with the Lead Changemaker, Changemakers and colleagues across the Foundation, you will ensure the programme has the systems, coordination and administrative support needed to deliver high-quality partnership working and meaningful co-production across the three ARCs.

About Project Unity England
Project Unity England improves outcomes for care-experienced young mothers and their children through collaborative, multi-agency working, delivered through cluster-based areas bringing together local stakeholders for coordinated, community-focused support. Cluster one is based around London and cluster two around Yorkshire, with a third cluster area to be identified in year three. Travel between cluster areas is expected, particularly from year two onwards.
