Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Programme Coordinator to take the lead in ensuring the seamless execution of all student-focused events. In this pivotal role, you will immerse yourself in SEO-London’s wide range of programmes, gaining insight into the industries they support and using this knowledge to engage with students and partner firms. You’ll be at the heart of planning, organising, and promoting impactful events that drive student success.

• *New for the 2024-25 academic year* SEO Ignite (Year 11): An Intensive 1-week residential programme for students post-GCSE exams, which delivers introductions to career pathways, insights to different industries and authentic exposure to employers

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS  

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, ensuring student communication is exceptional. Including event management (covering agenda creation and resource/activity development), student and partner communication/coordination, along with posting opportunities and roles in the weekly newsletter.

STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues, and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London 
• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events 
• Responsible for managing the programme inboxes (where applicable) 
• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students 
• Provide oversight of higher education applications, CV support, screening, and recruitment preparation 
• Responsible for attending campus/school careers events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm 
• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations  

  
QUALITY ASSURANCE  

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes. 
• Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM

Required qualifications 

• University degree (any discipline)  

Candidates without qualifications will be considered if they have at least 1 years relevant and relatable work experience in a similar role.

The Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by ensuring volunteers in Operations-based roles are set up for success by preparing and training them for their role. Once in their role, they will support a positive volunteering experience by working to retain, further utilize and develop our volunteers in their role and wider into the Guide Dog family and community. Without our volunteers, none of our services would be possible. 

We currently have 2 roles available one would work across the two teams in Sheffield & Notthingham; and the other to work across the two teams in Atherton & Liverpool. A typical fortnight would include days working from the office, days in the community, and some home working. The role holder will manage the time and location of their working days.

For this role, you’ll work 35 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Please be aware that this role may include some travel covering your region and work outside of your usual 9-5 working hours.

Main purpose of the role:

To support, develop and coordinate a variety of areas of activity within the Fundraising team.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with the stewardship of fundraising supporters across the various income areas and maintain and improve supporter retention and engagement.

Are you ready to lead and develop this pioneering new project in partnership with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC). Do you thrive on building trust and engagement with young people, school communities and families?

As the Breck Foundation's new Project Coordinator (Pan Sussex), with the support of the CEO, you will lead the initial project set up, the recruitment of schools and young people, followed by all training and coordination of the delivery.

The post holder will need to be based in Sussex, required to work from home permanently but willing and able to easily travel regularly to various locations across East and West Sussex, occasionally farther as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role, to deliver aspects of the programme and to engage with other stakeholders and colleagues.

Breck Foundation 

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.

The Project

Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.

We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.

This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

Main purpose of the role:

The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service. 

The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty. 

You will deputise for and support the Service Coordinator in leading and managing a community group comprising of a range of services for people with a learning disability and a team of support assistants. 

The Deputy Service Coordinator supports the Service Coordinator in creating Community and leading the service delivery within the group in line with their values and standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].

Key essential criteria:

- Openness to work with, and grow in relationship with, people with and without learning disabilities, and get to know their community life.
- Substantial experience of developing and implementing person centred and self-directed support for people with a learning disability.
- An ability to understand the value of faith based service provision and to articulate it to others outside of the organisation.
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel. 
- Organisational skills to support the creation and management of service schedules.
- Supportive of the aims and principles of our client and enthusiastic about working within an organisation which is both a high-quality service provider and an ecumenical Christian community.

You will support the Service Coordinator to deliver high quality person-centred support for the Apple Group, one of their three community groups The Apple Group supports 8 people with learning disabilities with differing needs, who live in 4 houses in their supported living programme.
