About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by playing a vital role in our work across the Hampshire. Reporting into the local team and supported by the national fundraising team, this role will be responsible for engaging volunteers both as individuals and groups across the area to raise funds for MHA. You will work closely with all MHA services, building relationships and inspiring and empowering local fundraising to enable those who choose to use our services to thrive. This will include supporting those who wish to fundraise In Memory and utilising MHA’s fundraising products.
A portion of your time will also be spent working in collaboration with community fundraisers across the country on fundraising initiatives and guides which will benefit both your area and community fundraising nationally.
The role will provide an effective and efficient service supporting the organisation and our homes and schemes to meet our vision, values and strategic objectives.

About You
Are you a passionate and skilled community fundraiser keen to play a key role in building a local network of community fundraising volunteers? Do you have a passion for working with supporters, building meaningful relationships and inspiring supporters whilst ensuring your work aligns with the results we need? Working well as a team player you will work closely with both operational colleagues in your area and the wider Fundraising Team, ensuring a focus on getting the right result for the organisation and building lasting and substantial relationships with funders. You will be an effective communicator developing trusting relationships, taking everyone with you on the journey.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers. They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.
The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK. Childhood Cancer International (CCI) is a global association made up of parent, survivor and civil organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer, along with their families. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Fundraiser to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in securing international grants and funding to support our programmes and initiatives around the world. 4. Grant Management and Reporting

5. Marketing

Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development, marketing or communications).

A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors.
