What will you be doing? 

Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
 

• Identify, develop and support existing and new community and events fundraising activities to increase and generate significant net income and supporter engagement
• Provide excellent donor care for all fundraising activities, to develop productive and lasting relationships with the community and convert them into loyal supporters
• Assist the Head of Fundraising & Communications  in the development and delivery of hyh’s Events and Communications Plans
• Update donor CRM databases and website

Purpose
This is an exciting new role supporting the delivery of the events and partnerships programme within a leading mental health charity.
We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people, who is excited by the prospect of raising funds that make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and corporate and community partners. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.
As an Events and Partnerships Officer, your role is to support the planning, delivery and promotion of an exciting calendar of fundraising events, and support our corporate and community partners in their fundraising efforts.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Supporting our events programme

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Senior Events and Partnerships Manager, Head of Fundraising and voluntary fundraising committees.
• Take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events within the calendar - which may include budgeting, liaising with third-party event organisers, logistics, risk assessment, promotion, participant engagement and post-event analysis.
• Monitor online fundraising and maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Act as a point of contact for our various voluntary fundraising committees, supporting them with their activities, and providing event guidance and administrative support to enable them to deliver successful events and reach income targets.
• Working closely with our communications team, co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of our events programme. This will include: writing copy, building emails, supporting social activity, multi-channel promotion planning and supporter engagement campaigns.
• Collaborate on the design and production of event materials, including the development of event-specific fundraising packs and downloadable resources.
• Represent the Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.

Supporting our partnerships

• Co-ordinate partnerships with community and corporate supporters, building long-term relationships and ensuring that partners feel valued and partnership objectives are met.
• Steward relationships with key people within our community and corporate partners, engaging them with the cause.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individual supporters, corporate partners and community groups raising money for us.

General responsibilities and duties

• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers and funders.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

The Role

The role of the Events team within Alpha International is to oversee the organising of Leadership Conference (LC) in-person, any events around Leadership Conference (including Donor events, Wednesday CEF event, Alpha Staff day, regional satellite events) and London-based Alpha events across the year (such as Alpha Collective and Experience Alpha).
This role is responsible for managing health and safety across the HTB sites, catering (crew, bloom café, Brompton road food vans and green rooms), internal deliveries and LC app, along with other LC related tasks.

The Key Responsibilities

Logistical arrangements:

o Development and execution of the events Day Plan. This is a minute-by-minute detailed plan that holds all the information of what will take place at the event

o Gathering technical and logistical requirements from speakers, stream leaders and internal departments; then negotiating this with the IT, Production, Vergers and Volunteers Teams or with an external venue or AV suppliers

o Determining catering requirements and caterer management

o Hiring of any additional venues as required and HTB site logistics

o Attending site visits (for external venues that might be used)

o Hiring of any additional equipment required for the event

o Liaising with the Production, IT, Verger, Worship team and all other internal departments

o Ensuring any legal and insurance tasks are thought about and in place for the event taking place

o Creating floor plans for the vergers to use

o Liaising on interpretation needs are met including BSL

o Liaising regarding speakers and associated tasks including contracts, gifts and accommodation

o Liaising and implementing programme decisions

o Developing and implementing new floor plans and layouts at events 

o Ensuring event Health and Safety has been implemented 

o Delivery plans 

o Any other event related task

Marketing and communications: 

o Working closely with the marketing team on the marketing plan and budget

o Steer and monitor social media campaigns, alongside internal creative services teams

o Ensuring all GDPR protocols are followed – keeping the login access tracker up to date

o Overseeing LC app contract and content

o Delegate collateral e.g. packing tote bags

Staffing:

o Volunteer recruitment working closely with the Alpha leadership on this

o Communication with HTB staff as to their specific roles and responsibilities & conducting staff briefings

o Building working relationships with volunteers and team when onsite

Registration and Ticketing:

o Oversight of the busy Leadership Conference inbox for guest queries

o Creating booking system for taking in person events registrations using an online event platform

o Ensuring the Alpha leadership gets regular booking reports

o Oversight of IT equipment owned by team

o Granting access to systems

Safeguarding 

o Linking in with the Safeguarding Lead if any safeguarding issues come up in the inboxes or at the event

Debrief

o Debrief to be done for different areas involved in 

Leadership Conference Week Responsibilities

o Taking a lead role on several key packages assigned to this role

o Create and maintain comprehensive event documentation

o Writing papers on the different areas for senior management to review as and when is required

o Stay within the budget allocated and make adjustments to event constraints based on financial situation. Looking for ways to save money on all areas you look after

o Developing and implementing new and improved processes 

o Holding the Alpha standard on communication in everything we do or send before, during or after the event

o Attend senior leadership meetings to provide updates as an when is required on your different areas

o Managing admin across the event, dealing with sign off,  budgets and compiling post event reporting – to take learnings for next years event

o Looking at ways to improve LC year on year by researching competitor events and market knowledge

o Any other event related tasks to support Head of Events

• Continue to develop and test events, with the aim of growing our events portfolio, working closely with the Community Marketing and Events Officer.

• Support team with stewarding high value community stakeholders, including the strategically important relationship with RGBI. Role model and support great relationship fundraising - leading by example to inspire high standards in the team.
• Lead the development of strategic plans to maximise our partnership with RGBI (including income, awareness and networking opportunities). About the role

This role is maternity cover and will be offered on a fixed term contract. 

The role will report directly in to the Town Clerk and be responsible for the Events Officer, contractors and volunteers. You will work closely with other officers including Communications, Public Services, Community, Heritage and Support Officer. 

Crewe Town council has a rich and varied events and culture programme planned and set out  for 2026 which needs oversight while the events and culture manager is on maternity leave. This will require a suitably experienced and qualified individual to ensure delivery is consistent, compliant and maintains the usual standard of quality events and experiences delivered by Crewe Town Council.

The Events team sit within the wider Insight & Strategic Development team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK).  The purpose of the Insight and Strategic Development team is to deliver both long term and tactical insight that is grounded in a deep understanding of our audiences. We objectively influence evidence-based decision making, to drive forward organisational priorities for a cure. We do this by inspiring and challenging through our own expertise, working collaboratively to shape actionable insights and champion an insight focused mindset.

The Events team lead on the development and delivery of a wide range of events that stretch across the whole organisation. The key aims of the team are to ensure a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience whether through direct delivery or through consultation with teams looking to deliver events on their own.

The Events Officer will work closely with the Events Manager in the development and delivery of a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK, ensuring a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience. This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the organisation on their events scoping, planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including meetings, dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required.

· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.

· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.

· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner

· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity

· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager and Senior Events Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post

· To brief the senior leadership team, scientists, clinicians, speakers, staff and volunteers ahead of each event

· Regular attendance at events; this will include some travel and work outside of ordinary working hours

What we are looking for:

· Experience in the events industry, both online and in-person

· Planning and delivery of online events via Zoom, Teams or similar.

· Confident working with computers, extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

· Co-ordinating projects or events, particularly large-scale events of 200+ attendees.

· Delivering activity against and monitoring a budget.

· Excellent project management skills

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Whether assisting students and residents on a daily basis, supporting weekend residentials, conferences and events, or working with the team which delivers our annual Foundation Celebration, this role is at the heart of providing a welcoming campus environment.

The Campus Accommodation and Hospitality Manager will lead a team of reception and housekeeping staff to deliver and administer a full range of campus services. As well as providing an efficient and welcoming reception service, this includes the management of meeting rooms, accommodation booking, achieving and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and overseeing contracted catering and refreshment services. The postholder will be part of a committed staff team, giving and receiving support to deliver the operational needs of the Foundation in a way which reflects our ethos of hospitality, care and community. 

This is a full-time role, with some evening and weekend work during weekend residentials and other events. The postholder will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key responsibilities

1. To manage the delivery of accommodation and hospitality operations.

• Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds and denominations.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of hospitality services including accommodation, catering and menus, and support for conferences and events.

We are now seeking an Events Virger to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the Cathedral’s worship and events programme. 

The Role

As Events Virger, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of services and events. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and resetting the Cathedral for services, concerts, and special events. Assist with the setting up and removal of all content and furnishings requested for this activity.
• Opening and closing the Cathedral on a rota basis.
• Ensure the efficient cleaning of the Cathedral with effective use of time and materials and without the need for supervision (the team of Virgers are responsible for all the Cathedral cleaning).
• To be on duty, in accordance with the rota, on Sundays, Festival Days and other occasions, in addition to other routine duties.
• Maintain vestments, altar furnishings and vessels and prepare them for all Services.
• Operating sound and lighting systems as needed.
• Support and assist Chaplains, Guides and other volunteers as required.
• Safeguarding donations and collections.

Job Summary

The BSR education programme is a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, providing updates on the essentials needed to deliver top-quality care for patients and ensuring professional development opportunities. 

This role sits within the Education team who are responsible for delivering BSR’s educational activity. Working alongside the Head of Education, the Education & Events Manager, Event Executive (Education) and the Digital Events Manager, you will assist in the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars, bursary schemes and digital learning activities. You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board. 

This is an exciting role for someone looking to get further hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community.

Main Responsibilties 

Event & Course Coordination

• Lead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.
• Support course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.
• Support stakeholder management at education courses, including communications with patients, sponsors and event supporters.
• Occasional travel, including attendance and overnight stays at BSR courses, conferences and events.
   

Systems & Data Management

•  Coordinate the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery.
• Coordinate the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation.
• Coordinate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation of educational activities.
• Support the delivery of digital sponsorship and educational partnership opportunities.

Marketing & Communications

• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to create digital content to engage target audiences, including providing content for webpages, newsletters and delegate communications.

General Duties

• Manage the events inbox and education team enquiries, delivering excellent customer service and being the main point of contact for the team.
• Input into education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for owned projects.
• Support on reporting for and evaluation of all education activities and outputs, identifying impact and ways to improve.
• Support with BSR Committee liaison and logistics.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Education & Events Manager.

What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.

Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.

Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us long after they cross the finish line.
