About the role ofHead of Principal Donors

As Head of Principal Donors, you will lead and manage the Foundation’s philanthropy programme, working closely with our senior leadership team and our founder to personally cultivate and steward the Foundation’s principal donors. This includes overseeing our recently formed Accelerate Circle – a select group of visionary philanthropists who help drive the Foundation’s fundraising through their networks.

In this role you will:

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s philanthropy strategy, playing an active
  leadership role in the successful delivery of income growth from UHNWI and
  HNWIs
• Develop the Accelerate Circle of patrons and deliver a solicitation strategy to
  expand membership and grow our community of donors and supporters
• Provide exceptional stewardship to existing donors and cultivate new donors
• Work closely with our founder and their office to design, plan and deliver highROI engagement such as income-generating dinners or paid speeches
• With the Director Fundraising and Communications, develop annual plans and
  budgets, along with longer term forecasts for income from individuals
• Work proactively with our Communications and Programmes teams to identify
  and create funded or high-return opportunities to gain visibility in key markets
• Support staff to deliver and, where appropriate, lead on fundraising and
  cultivation events and donor trips
• In consultation with the Director, lead on financial reporting for philanthropy
  income, advising on risks and opportunities, producing regular reports of
  income against plans and forecasts, and monitoring day to day income tracking

Our ideal candidate is: 

• Experienced in cultivating and stewarding high-net-worth individual donors – with a proven track record of securing six or seven figure donations
• Capable of developing and delivering a successful philanthropy strategy
• Comfortable and experienced working with high profile individuals and senior volunteers including managing development boards, giving circles or other forms of peer-to-peer fundraising approaches
• Excellent at managing relationships and able to successfully influence people at all levels with clear and persuasive communication

Job title: Immediate Support and Debrief Manager

Reports to: Head of Bereavement Services

Location: Flexible - Mainly home working with regular travel to areas of service delivery, and regular travel to 2wish Head Office in South Wales.

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Context of role:

The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.

This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.

You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.

Main duties:

Service:

• To manage the bereavement service including the operational delivery of immediate support and debriefs, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, responsively and to a high standard
• To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England
• Lead upon, develop and maintain safeguarding practices and procedures in line with national guidelines and attend the bi-monthly internal Safeguarding Committee meetings.
• To oversee the delivery and develop training delivered to professional partners
• Oversee and manage a database of stakeholder contacts and families ensuring that Data Protection legislation and GDPR guidelines are implemented and adhered to
• To work closely with the Head of Bereavement Services to ensure delivery and growth of services
• Attend bereavement forums and other relevant meetings as required by, or in place of, the Head of Bereavement Services
• To be able to provide outstanding immediate emotional support and advice to families and those we support as required

Management:

• To lead, motivate and line manage the immediate support team responsible for delivering our immediate support and debrief service
• Manage a diverse team, organise regular team meetings and set realistic but challenging objectives to further the work of the charity
• To carry our monthly supervisions and bi-annual appraisals with the Immediate Support Coordinators
• To carry out monthly case reviews with the Immediate Support team
• To produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to evidence activity and impact
• To develop and oversee a training programme for the team including mandatory and varied subject matter

General:

• To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
• To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
• To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team
• To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Lone Working; and to be proactive in implementing new safe working practices as appropriate
• To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary
• Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role
• Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.

You will be subject to performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the annual appraisal structure.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business and Service Development Team at Dementia UK as a Regional Account Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in our strategy plans in managing and expanding Admiral Nursing Services across health and social care settings throughout the UK.

Whilst this role is an 18-month fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment, there are plans for future growth in the team in response to our ambitious five-year organisational strategy, where we are aiming to significantly increase the number of Admiral Nurses in our hosted services.

As a Regional Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of both new and established Admiral Nurse services. You will help implement, monitor, and ensure they meet quality standards and align with our Common Business Process. In addition, you will represent Dementia UK with key commissioners and stakeholders, influencing local dementia strategies and ensuring that Admiral Nursing remains central to service design, supporting the overall delivery of Dementia UK’s strategy.

We are looking for you to bring substantial experience in partnership development, account management, and project management. Having previous experience in the health and social care sector is essential, along with an understanding of government policies related to older people’s mental health, carers, and dementia.

This is a remote role, with occasional travel across the South West region, including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, to attend meetings and engage with key stakeholders. Ideally, you will be based within this area, willing and able to travel.

To provide continuity and leadership following the departure of the current postholder, the Cathedral is seeking an experienced and pragmatic Interim Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and strengthen systems across the estate.

Interim Facilities Manager

Location: Lincoln Cathedral (on-site)
Salary: £41,000 – £46,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role

The Interim Facilities Manager will ensure the safe, compliant and efficient running of the Cathedral’s estate, including the Cathedral Church, Visitor Centre and associated buildings. Leading a small team and external contractors, you will manage maintenance, safety, utilities, cleaning, and support for worship and events.

A key focus during this period will be embedding improved systems, compliance processes and reporting frameworks, ensuring effective contractor oversight and operational consistency across all sites.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and improve FM operations, including planned and reactive maintenance.
• Oversee statutory compliance, fire safety, utilities, and contractor performance.
• Act as the Cathedral’s competent person for health, safety and compliance.
• Support worship, events and visitor activity to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
• Embed systems, procedures and reporting frameworks to strengthen oversight.
• Line manage the Facilities Team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree, HND or equivalent in Facilities Management or related discipline.
• IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification (or higher).
• Significant FM experience in complex or publicly accessible environments.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, CDM and contractor management.
• Membership of IWFM or IFMA.
• Proven ability to implement systems, improve performance and manage teams.

The Strategic Communications Manager will shape and deliver the communications strategy for a landmark, mental health partnership. The partnership, funded by the Wellcome Trust, brings together over 20 leading mental health organisations in a coordinated effort to push mental health up the political agenda and drive transformational change in UK mental health care. The role will support the Influencing Partnership Strategic Lead, hosted at Rethink Mental Illness, and comms colleagues across the sector to deliver this.

Who We Are

Our charity was established in 1992, to provide care and support to people in Sussex, living with and affected by HIV. Over the past three decades there have been huge advances in treatment and care for those affected by the virus. People taking effective anti-retroviral medication (ART’s) can live long lives, with HIV becoming undetectable and untransmittable.

Whilst people who are living with HIV can live longer, many develop other physical co-morbidities as they age and many experience social and self- stigma. Our service users are often from marginalised groups, who often experience inter-sectional discrimination and health inequalities. Many of our service users experience socio-economic disadvantage and have multiple and complex needs.

The Sussex Beacon offers a range of services to people who have been living with HIV for decades through to those who are newly diagnosed.  Our services include:

The Role

This is an exciting time for The Sussex Beacon, as we are about to launch our new 2030 Strategic Plan and move to a new era of delivery, through the evolution of our end of life and palliative care for the LGBTQ+ community.  The Sussex Beacon will be the first Hospice of its kind in the country tackling stigma and health inequalities for those who are most marginalised in our community.

This role will secure, manage and grow income from corporate partners, supporting The Sussex Beacon’s mission to provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV and its new LGBTQ+ Hospice provision. This role is responsible for building long-term, strategic relationships with businesses, creating tailored partnership opportunities, and contributing to the charity’s wider income generation strategy and its five-year fundraising plan. The postholder will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maximise corporate engagement and fundraising potential.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnership Fundraising at The Sussex Beacon

The Sussex Beacon has a proud history of working with corporate supporters who are passionate about making a difference. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will lead on identifying new corporate prospects, developing compelling proposals, and managing a portfolio of existing partners. They will create and deliver partnership plans that may include sponsorship, employee fundraising, cause-related marketing, and volunteering. By aligning business objectives with The Sussex Beacon’s values and impact, the postholder will ensure meaningful and sustainable relationships that benefit both parties.

Team Beacon

Team Beacon is the charity’s fundraising event brand, bringing together supporters through challenge events, campaigns, and volunteering. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will work closely with the fundraising team to integrate corporate teams into Team Beacon activities, encourage staff engagement, and develop sponsorship packages for major events such as The Brighton Half Marathon, which we own, and community challenges. This collaborative approach enhances visibility and fosters a sense of shared purpose among partners and supporters alike.

Business Networking Events

The postholder will represent The Sussex Beacon at a variety of business networking events, including LGBTQ+ network events, across Sussex and beyond. These events offer valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners, showcase the charity’s impact, and build strategic relationships. The Fundraiser will be proactive in identifying and attending relevant events, from Chamber of Commerce meetings to local business expos, ensuring The Sussex Beacon maintains a visible and professional presence in the corporate community.

Other Duties

· Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and income through the charity’s CRM system.

· Prepare regular reports and updates for the Head of Income and senior leadership.

· Work with the communications team to highlight successful partnerships and case studies.

· Support the wider fundraising team during peak periods or major campaigns.

· Stay up to date with trends and developments in corporate fundraising and CSR.

· Responsibility alongside fundraising for corporate events such as The Sussex Beacon relay and 5k inflatable course.

The role is a full time and fixed term contract for one year. 

The Cafes Manager will take full responsibility in leading and operating a successful cafes and catering operation, giving our student members an excellent service experience every day, looking to implement our cafes operation with new and innovative ideas led by the Head of Commercial Services. This role forms a key part of our Operations team, led by the Director of Operations. Comprising of both front facing and behind the scenes departments including; Cafés and Bars, Retail, Bloomsbury Fitness Gym, Human Resources, Facilities and Systems, the team delivers core functions and central services for the Union, as well as providing a diverse range of quality facilities accessible to our 55,000 members. We are currently recruiting for a versatile Health, Safety and Facilities Manager to join our Infrastructure Services team, to cover maternity leave. 

As our Health, Safety and Facilities Manager you will provide efficient facilities management and Health & Safety services to and for Friends of the Earth’s offices, workspaces, staff and volunteers. 

We are looking for someone with experience of a broad range of facilities management across multiple sites and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments. 

Key Skills and Attributes:  

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme. 

• Proven experience of improving supplier value through contract review, market research and contract negotiation 

• Entry level Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or similar) and working towards NEBOSH qualification, with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments, etc. 

• Experience of communicating effectively and building strong relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs, both individually and in groups, and working with sometimes challenging clients. 

• Ability to safely perform equipment installation/elementary repair work and manage/assist in the movement of office apparatus. 

• Lead and manage projects and provide training to staff within a facilities context. 

Special working conditions  

• This role is a key holder for our offices, and the holder must be prepared to be on call in the event of an emergency. 

• There will be the occasional need for travel within the UK, with the requirement to stay away from home overnight on occasions. 

The team:  

Working closely with and managing the Facilities Assistant, you will ensure Friends of the Earth meets the required Health and Safety standards. You will be part of our vital Infrastructure team, sitting within the Finance and Operations Directorate.

The Policy and Campaigns Officer will develop policy positions and campaigns that will help ensure that the needs, rights and priorities of those living with DMD are understood and acted on by decision makers, policy makers, parliament and government. The Officer will work closely with colleagues in the Policy and Communications team to support a cohesive and impactful approach to policy, engagement and communications.

Job Description

• To ensure that the charity’s policy and campaigning work is firmly grounded in the views and experiences of the DMD community and to ensure that they are consulted and involved in the development (and delivery where appropriate) of Duchenne UK’s policy positions and campaigns.
• To maximise the benefits of our existing relationships with civil servants, parliamentarians, policy makers, relevant organisations (such as NICE) and charity sector professionals and to create new relationships which help us to achieve our aims.
• To organise events and parliamentary activity working with parliamentary supporters and the DMD community.
• To devise low-budget campaigns aimed at creating positive change in policy, practice or attitudes that will improve the lives and outcomes of those living with DMD. 
• To create campaign assets such as digital and social media content in collaboration with the communications team.
• To draft consultation responses, policy positions and occasional short reports summarising the findings of research we have conducted or commissioned.
• To monitor relevant government proposals and initiatives, identifying those likely to have a major impact on the lives of those living with DMD, and to seek to influence their development.

Person Specification

Essential experience:

• Experience of working in a policy and/or campaigning role.
• Experience of writing for a range of audiences and using different channels to produce convincing, clear and succinct content across a range of platforms such as blogs, web and print.
• Experience of working with civil servants and parliamentarians.
• Experience of using digital and social media for influencing and campaigning purposes.

Desirable experience:
