About the role
As a Communities Manager, you will play a vital role in building trusted relationships with communities, community organisations and partners to ensure the voices of people affected by cancer are heard, valued and embedded in decision-making.
You will provide leadership and expertise in community engagement, helping to empower and mobilise communities to influence improvements in cancer care and support. Working collaboratively across Macmillan and with external stakeholders, you will develop sustainable community networks, strengthen local capacity and capability, and support communities to become equal partners in co-design and systems change initiatives.

Location & Working Arrangements

Your role

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13–24 with cancer. Every day, seven young people in the UK hear the words “you have cancer”, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they do not face it alone.
The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.
Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.
Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. With an individual income target of c.£130k and a combined Scotland regional target of c.£260k across East and West Scotland, this role will play a key part in strengthening existing relationships while identifying and developing new fundraising opportunities across a region with significant growth potential.
Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Area Manager, you will be responsible for building long-term supporter relationships and developing strategic area plans to maximise fundraising opportunities. About the role
We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to provide 12-month interim cover for our conference and events function.
The postholder will oversee the work of the Events team; consisting of an Events Coordinator and Events Administrator who are responsible for supporting the overall events programme. In addition, for the Conference Provision, there is a longstanding Volunteer Conference Organiser who holds significant institutional knowledge, an external Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) and a National Conferences Programme Advisory Group (NCPAG), who lead the process of determining academic content for the conferences.
Your role will be the staff lead to help shape future provision, hold key relationships and ensure the development of a successful 2027 event.
This is a time-limited role with the priorities for;

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally.
You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth.
Key Details:
Location: UK (Flexible: Remote or Hybrid if preferred). There will be a few in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues each year, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time.
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.
Salary: £37,000 – £43,000 FTE, pro rata (c. £22,200 - £25,800 for 3 days per week), depending on experience
Start Date: September (negotiable)

What You will do:
- Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
- Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.
- Design and deliver segmented supporter journeys across individual giving, regular giving, appeals and stewardship activity.
- Support the growth of sustainable income from high-potential streams including trusts and foundations, major donors, legacy giving, challenge events and corporate engagement.
- Work with programme colleagues to capture impact, develop strong donor reports and translate frontline insight into persuasive fundraising propositions.
- Oversee the effective use of the fundraising CRM, improving data quality, segmentation and insight-led decision making.
- Manage, mentor and encourage the Communications & Fundraising Team, creating clarity, focus and momentum.
- Ensure all fundraising activity is legal, ethical and compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, data protection requirements and internal policies.

Essential requirements:

Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences (faith-based, secular, and younger donors).

CRM and Data: Confident user of a fundraising CRM, able to manage data, segment supporters and use insight to inform decisions.

About the Patient Support Service
The Patient Support Service provides practical, emotional and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. Whatever the need presented, we empower people living with CKD and their families and carers to understand their options and make informed choices to positively navigate their experience of CKD. About the role
We are looking for a passionate and inspirational individual to lead our Patient Support service across Scotland & Northern Ireland. You and your team will reach kidney patients at their point of need and ensure they are supported or signposted to the services that will improve their wellbeing and maximise outcomes in line with the objectives of the service as directed by the Programme Manager/Head of Service.
Alongside our other Regional Managers, you will be the national face of Kidney Care UK patient support services, raising awareness of the service and the Charity and building strong relationships with the kidney patients, renal units, Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs), health professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of five Patient Support Officer’s to deliver an accessible, valued and effective service across your designated region. Responsibility for the training, development and wellbeing of the regional team.
- Lead the delivery of Kidney Care UK service and funder required outcomes into service delivery aligned with the Kidney Care Patient Support service strategy.
- Through in-person attendance at stakeholder events and meetings, build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in health and care commissioning and delivery in your region.
- Develop and maintain effective monitoring and measurement to demonstrate the outputs and effectiveness of the service and its impact on patient experience and outcomes.
- Using data and insight, report internally and externally with updates on regional issues, needs and challenges to inform service development.
- Manage the budget designated for your region, keeping accurate records of expenditure and reporting.
- Act as an organisational Designated Safeguarding Person in accordance with policy and procedures.
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Understanding of the workings of NHS patient care pathways.
- Experience of delivering patient support services in a kidney or related health condition environment.
- Understanding of kidney disease and the needs of people with kidney disease, their families and their carers.
- The ability to influence, inspire and effectively manage a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, with experience in building credibility with senior external stakeholders and managing relationships with diplomacy.
Experience of working within an NHS charity or large health related fundraising environment is highly desirable,as is understanding of relevant UK benefits legislation and entitlements.
Please note: You must live within one of the regions (Scotland or Northern Ireland) and have the ability to travel within those regions independently and on a regular basis. There may also be some travel across the UK.

The Community Engagement & Support role is about providing greater sustainability and resilience for the Fahr’s Disease community and Fahr Beyond as a charity. The post holder will be building the capacity for Fahr Beyond to provide support for people living with Fahr’s and their families through creating a volunteer network that can provide an ongoing fortnightly support group. What will you do in the role?
Volunteer Mobilisation & Management
- Support the development of a volunteer strategy for Fahr Beyond
- Actively manage the establishment of a volunteer network utilising prior expressions of interest, and you will support the onboarding of volunteers
- The main point of contact for volunteers and help resolve matters they may have
Engagement & Communication
- Monitor and respond to incoming correspondence to Fahr Beyond, along with assigning any actions for response to the appropriate volunteer
- Support the trustees and volunteers with managing Fahr Beyond’s social media
- Work with Fahr Beyond volunteers to ensure that Fahr Beyond maintains regular communications with patients, medical professionals, and key partners
- ·Represent Fahr Beyond at sector events and/or meetings, particularly with organisations we are a member of
Project & Event Management
- Support (and if required coordinate) Fahr Beyond’s education and awareness events for Fahr’s Disease, and events connecting multiple stakeholders in the Fahr’s Disease space

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.
The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.
