The events team is responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of a full programme of paid for in-person and virtual events (such as our Annual Conference, and Annual Leadership and Workforce Summit) and for delivering a large portion of the free events that take place across The Fund; including online events, roundtables, workshops, receptions and dinners. The events team ensures that there is a co-ordinated and uniform approach to delivering virtual or in-person events, and that each is delivered to the same high standard.

This role will give you an exciting opportunity to work in our busy events team within a well-respected health think-tank and charity. You will work with colleagues on planning and delivering a mixture of pay-to-attend conferences (virtual and in-person), roundtable discussions, dinners, and free online events. You will also manage the content design and delivery of our joint-badged events with our sponsors, Corporate Partners and Supporters.

You will lead on several events in the schedule; developing content in line with colleagues across The King’s Fund and more widely in-line with our new strategy. You will be responsible (with the rest of the events team) in ensuring they are insightful, run smoothly, keep to strict budgets, are delivered to a very high standard, meet the expectations of colleagues and delegates, and enhance our reputation and public profile. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our portfolio of in-person, virtual and hybrid events.

To join us, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent) and experience in planning and delivering virtual and in person conferences and other smaller events. With this background, you’ll know how to research and develop event content to create engaging programmes and attract wide audiences. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead effective logistics arrangements in preparation for and on the day of events. We’ll expect you to work hard to support the team and you will be given responsibility for your own areas of work. You’ll also need to be flexible, diligent, and comfortable being the main point of contact for many people from sponsors to speakers.

About Access

Access - The Foundation for Social Investment works to ensure that charities and social enterprises can access the finance they need to sustain or grow their impact. Access is currently implementing a new CRM and Grant Management System (Salesforce-based, delivered by implementation partner Vera) to support its programmes, partner relationships, and reporting needs. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the system is delivered well and that Access is ready to operate it confidently at go-live.

Position Overview

Access is seeking a Salesforce Implementation & Delivery Manager on a fixed-term basis to support the delivery of its Salesforce-based CRM and Grant Management System.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will combine:

• strong project coordination and delivery management,
• hands-on Salesforce CRM expertise, and
• practical change management capability to help staff adapt to new systems and ways of working.

As Access does not have Salesforce expertise in-house, this role will act as a key internal point of reference, helping to review and sense-check design decisions, manage delivery risks, and ensure that the system being built is usable, well understood, and ready for go-live.

This is not a developer or Salesforce Administrator role, but it does require strong Salesforce CRM experience, alongside proven ability to support users through change, structure complex projects, and keep delivery on track. The role will continue through early post–go live to support transition into business-as-usual and handover to the incoming System Administrator.

This is a Fixed-Term Contract of 6 months minimum. Full-time hours are preferred but we are also open to 4 days per week. Ideally we would like one day per week in our office (Tuesday), which is situated in Old Street, London.

About the Role - Fundraising Manager

Job purpose

· To contribute to the Income Generation / Engagement and Fundraising department’s purpose of maximising income from potential and current supporters through project managing specific events including securing sponsorship and providing committee support

About The Role

This role within our external affairs team focuses on securing impact for our work by supporting the delivery of our campaigns and events.

This varied role involves providing coordination of and administrative support to our flagship campaign, Get the Nation Learning; regional adult learning awards; and L&W events.

Duties and Responsibilities

Campaigns

• Coordinate the delivery of the Get the Nation Learning campaign. This means: working with L&W’s head of lifelong learning to produce a comprehensive project plan; monitoring progress across team members to ensure work is delivered to time; undertaking all administrative elements of campaign delivery; managing the nominations and selection process for the Get the Nation Learning Awards; monitoring the budget; and working with the head of lifelong learning to manage relationships with sponsors, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Supporting the delivery of regional adult learning awards, including coordinating nominations and selection processes; undertaking all administrative tasks; and working with L&W’s external affairs manager to manage relationships with clients and award winners.

Events

• Supporting the delivery of L&W’s in-person and online events, including our annual Employment and Skills Convention and Get the Nation Learning Awards ceremony. This involves undertaking administrative tasks such as managing registrations, liaison with speakers and delegates, supporting delivery of events on the day, and working with the external affairs manager to manage relationships with sponsors and suppliers.

Other duties

• Support the external affairs team with communications tasks, for example website updates, drafting and preparing marketing emails and social media posts, distributing press releases etc.

As our Events Assistant you have an exciting opportunity to join our developing charity. Working closely with the Events Manager, volunteers and a small team of colleagues, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to provide efficient and strong administration and coordination for both existing and new supportive events for bereaved parents and adult siblings. This role also involves supporting the volunteers who facilitate online groups, in-person retreats, support days, and supportive walks.

For this varied and busy role, we are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent interpersonal, written and IT skills. You will be comfortable working across multiple projects, be able to prioritise effectively and manage your time well in this part-time position, as many projects are time sensitive. You will have some experience in event administration and coordination and be able to learn new processes quickly. Excellent attention to detail is essential in this role and you will also be able to build successful relationships with volunteers and staff.  The role requires a high degree of flexibility, including a willingness to work some evenings and weekends. You will work closely with colleagues while also using your own initiative to work independently and complete time sensitive tasks.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is the UK’s only national charity providing peer support to bereaved parents whose child, of any age (from 1 month old to an adult child), has died from any cause. We also offer support to bereaved adult siblings and grandparents.

Via over 300 trained and supported volunteers, bereaved parents, adult siblings and grandparents themselves, we support over 25,000 bereaved parents each year through peer support offered in person, over the telephone, by email, online, and in print.

Starting salary in the range of:  £33,141 to £35,855

Working pattern: Full-time (35 hours per week) - some out of hours work may be required for events.

Purpose:

The Events and Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting both membership events and communications activities.  The ECO will work with both the Communications Manager and the Membership and Events Manager to ensure membership data is up-to-date, to track membership engagement, to support the organising and delivery of our events, and to craft and broadcast digital content and media outputs.  This role requires a proactive, dynamic, and driven individual with excellent communication skills, an understanding of event management, confidence and experience using CRM databases and Excel, along with social media skills and an ability to spot new media opportunities. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident and adept with CRM systems, and enthusiastic about delivering excellent service to members whilst helping to promote the organisation's work across digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Membership and Events Support

1. Working closely with the Membership and Events Manager to deliver  strategies for recruiting, retaining, and engaging members. 

2. Maintain and update the CRM system, ensuring accurate records and consistent data standards.

3. Support the processing of membership applications, renewals, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner. 

4. Support the organising and execution of member events, such as network and consortium meetings and other engagement activities as needed.

5. Support with the preparation of regular reports on membership numbers, trends and engagement activities. 

6. Work  closely with the Communications Manager and Membership and Events Manager to design, distribute, and collate the annual member survey.

7. Input membership invoices and payments into Xero or relevant systems.

Communications Support

1. Support a comprehensive media strategy set out by the Comms Manager to promote the organisation's mission and activities.

2. Manage planned activities on all social media platforms, including content creation and community engagement.

3. Proofread and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.

4. Maintain and update the organisation's website with relevant news and content.

6. Monitor media coverage and help prepare reports on media performance.

7. Create engaging content for various platforms.
