About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will have a passion for excellent service delivery, performance management and team welfare.

The family caseworkers provide in person support to families who have experienced the sudden and traumatic death by Homicide. The caseworkers are responsible for ensuring the needs identified are met, that each person being supported receives guidance, advise and practical support as well as emotional support and advocacy.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills essential to managing a diverse workload, and be committed to supporting the caseworkers to deliver support.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals.

We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team.

You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online.

You will enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams/Coroner officers and other statutory agencies) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships.

You should be confident to deliver internal and external presentations to a wide range of audiences. You will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as directed by the Operations managers and Deputy Head of Service.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. South East London Mind’s award-winning Mindful Mums programme aims to build resilience and prevent pregnant and new mums from developing mental health problems during the perinatal period (pregnancy up to 1 year). The service has supported over 4,000 parents within the last eight years.

We are looking for a Senior Project Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to act as our Single Point of Access for professionals, service users and volunteers. The role is responsible for managing all referrals, providing holistic and person-centred support to vulnerable women experiencing mental health challenges. The role will provide high quality and supportive line management of staff, and will oversee the recruitment life cycle of volunteers to the Mindful Mums project, including interviews, onboarding, training and supervision.

You will be highly organised with experience of staff and data management in a target-driven environment. Working independently but collaboratively, you will take a solution-focused approach to improve processes and will be able to utilise databases to produce and analyse reports. You will also be a confident facilitator, as some group and training delivery will be expected.

This role would ideally suit a parent who has successfully managed their own perinatal mental health problems and those with good understanding of promoting positive perinatal mental wellbeing.

Flexibility

Our London-based staff operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within London South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays (for full time staff – part-time staff are only required to work one of those days in the office) and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. The Opportunity

The Director role is a new opportunity working across ImpactEd Evaluation. Our partnerships encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. As a Director, you will be a senior leader of the evaluation practice and a statutory director on our Practice Board. You will lead a number of sales and marketing campaigns, and support the design and delivery of our product offerings within those areas, as well as other priority strategic projects. You will also lead on a small number of high-priority partner engagements directly, and play a significant role in overseeing and quality assuring partnerships led by others.

As Fundraising Officer, you will support the overall fundraising target for The Stoll Foundation and provide excellent administrative across the team. You will be working with the Fundraising Manager with mailouts and funder visits and support the wider fundraising team in delivering written appeals to individuals for regular giving and legacy campaigns. In addition to this, you will support colleagues to put-on high-quality fundraising events by providing strong administrative support and acting as first point of contact for event participants and attendees where appropriate. You will support on departmental and Stoll wide meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking and circulating minutes. You will also ensure that the fundraising database, donor files and other written documents are accurate, kept up to date and regularly reviewed.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• High level organisational skills to handle varying administrative tasks effectively
• An understanding of, and commitment to evidence of working in a fundraising team for at least 6 months
• Highly IT literate, with previous knowledge of donor databases and project management systems
• Demonstrable excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The Movements Trust is a start up charity operating in the UK and elsewhere. Our mission is to increase the funding that reaches social movements working on a Just Transition. 

We're seeking someone who is enthusiastic, committed to movement building and campaigning, great at details and systems, and overall an effective team player in a remote setting.

Our new Movement Officer will - 

- Be the first point of contact for movement enquiries, monitoring our inbox and responding to queries

- Support movements, campaigners and activists make applications to the Trust for our sponsorship service or grants programmes,

- Work with the Team and our Board of Trustees to ensure movements are screened and on-boarded

- Work with the Team to ensure we develop excellent services for movements, as well as helping to develop more events and support for movement building, improve our communications, fundraising and overall management so that we can continue to grow! 

KEY SKILLS

Essential

• Good administrative skills, preferably within a charity setting 

• Experience of managing finances eg record keeping, processing and budgeting

• Understanding and/or experience of community organizing, activism, campaigning and/or movement building

• Good communications skills - able to meet movements and explain our services to them, and to bring movements together to share experiences

The Gender & Peacebuilding Adviser will work within Gender Team and Policy and Advocacy Team to deliver Saferworld’s gender, peace and security (GPS) and gender equality strategy with a focus on ensuring strong links between organisational programmes, research, comms and GPS advocacy at all levels. They will provide technical support in the following areas:

• In close coordination with the Senior Gender Adviser and the Global Policy and Advocacy team lead on the development of GPS advocacy strategies and tools that can be used to effectively influence change beyond direct programmatic impact.
• Advise on producing and disseminating research and analysis and supporting programme and policy teams to produce, disseminate and implement this analysis within a gender-transformative approach.
• Support gender-focused advocacy and communications efforts at sub-national, national, regional and international levels, with a focus on ensuring local and national learning and analysis to feed into and shape international GPS research, policy and advocacy priorities
•  Connect programmatic issues and global policy, advocacy and communications on GPS to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground; the post-holder will lead an organisational vision and process to ensure advocates across Saferworld work together to increase our collective impact and contribute to collective learning on GPS, in close coordination with the Global Policy and Advocacy Team (GPA).
• Provide advice and support for the implementation of Saferworld’s Gender Equality Strategy in programmes across the organisation, working with country teams and with gender coordinators, advisors and focal points. Provide capacity-strengthening initiatives and coordinate Gender Reference Group meetings, brown bags, and information exchange sessions to facilitate internal knowledge sharing.

The post-holder will be committed to inclusive ways of working, with a strong understanding of working in multi- cultural settings and accompanying people and processes, including partner organisations. They will support Saferworld’s international programmes and global policy teams to increase Saferworld’s collective influence and impact on gender peace and security through strategic research and advocacy
