Purpose of Role

Group Facilitators play a crucial role in delivering a range of therapeutic sessions aimed at supporting the wellbeing of survivors of sexual violence. This role involves creating a safe and empathetic environment where survivors can heal and grow. The Group Facilitator offers empowering peer support, fostering a sense of community and understanding among participants.

Through these therapeutic sessions, survivors are empowered to regain control over their lives, build resilience, and navigate their healing journey. The facilitator provides valuable guidance, emotional validation, and tools for coping and self-care, and they serve as a compassionate guide, helping survivors of sexual violence find strength, connection, and healing.

Main responsibilities include:

•  Leading group intervention sessions for male, adolescent, and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse, assault, and rape.
• Collaborating with the Group Work Manager and the organisation's safeguarding lead to effectively address safeguarding concerns.
• Documenting client interactions, participation, and identified risks using our client case management system and by adhering to organisational protocols.
• Formulating comprehensive plans for group sessions, further refine the group model, and conduct risk assessments when necessary.
• Prioritising ongoing monitoring and evaluation, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of outcomes to gauge effectiveness.

The role:

This key role will add substantial grant-making and strategic capacity to the AFF team, which currently consists of 7 people  reporting to the Director of A Fairer Future. The role will take on existing relationships in the form of a portfolio of organisations at various points in their funding journey. This person will pick up these relationships and ensure continuity as well as assessing new applications.  There will also be work contributing to strategic initiatives, helping to achieve impact in the thematic areas covered by the AFF strategy and roadmaps. Committed to social justice, the candidate will be ambitious to help create change using Esmée's full range of tools and approaches.

Convening collaborations, commissioning research and mobilising networks to create change will all be part of this role in addition to the more day to day management of organisation's funding journey, supporting them from application onwards to achieve the best possible impact. They will also be responsible for capturing learning from reporting, site visits and facilitating online discussions with organisations, as well as representing the Foundation at sector forums and events concentrating on the AFF priority areas.

The culture at the Foundation is collaborative and nurturing, so working closely with colleagues to share ideas and learn from each other will be essential in this role.

The person:

The successful candidate will have experience of working in one or more of the areas cover by the AFF priorities, perhaps gained through work in the voluntary or local authority sector.  We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in services to Children and Young People and/or racial justice, but are also interested to hear from those with experience more broadly across our AFF priority areas. This experience could have been gained from the delivering or commissioning programmes in these areas or indeed from a grant making perspective.

Highly organised, intellectually curious and pragmatic, this person will be able to unpick complex information and will be confident in assessing applicants' financial information. They will understand the charity funding world and importantly, the challenges faced by marginalised communities across the UK in the face of widespread inequity. The AFF team works with the Involving Young People's Collective, candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the value of co-production.

IT confident and systematic in their approach, this person will also be helpful and empathetic in addition to being an excellent communicator, both in person and in written work. Excellent attention to detail, thorough and collaborative in their approach to work, this person will be a real team player whilst being able to work under their own steam, working in a fast-paced environment.

An understanding and experience of systems change principles and an appreciation of the nuanced intersections between the various priorities of the AFF programme will be important to success in this role. This is your opportunity to design and manage the delivery of a new and exciting programme of work for the Ambitions National Partnership for Palliative Care and End of Life Care, working with senior NHS and statutory and voluntary sector partners. You’ll also lead an innovative Marie Curie pilot focusing on working through primary care to improve end of life care in care homes. Your expertise and evidence-led approach will help shape decisions at local, regional, and national levels - creating a more equitable system for those at the end of life.

• Leading delivery of the Ambitions Partnership’s new work programme - setting clear outcomes, managing budgets, and keeping activities on track.

About the team

This is a very exciting time to be joining Impetus as we aim to support more young people this year than ever before in our history. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Team Administrator who is excited by the prospect of working for an ambitious Philanthropy team in a sector leading charity. The Philanthropy team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. There are thirteen members of the team who are responsible for fundraising, events, and donor engagement, as well as collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters. Impetus has an annual income of over £10 million which we are looking to grow to £12-14 million within the next few years. ​

About this role

Donor engagement support

• Assist with research on donors and prospects.
• Support the Pro Bono function, for instance, supporting the sourcing and stewarding of pro bono support from individuals and companies; and with the onboarding and management of pro bono partners, including inductions and ongoing communication.
• Manage the distribution and dissemination of supporter care materials and fundraising merchandise.

• Proven experience of working in an administrative role within the charity sector.

About the role

This role will manage the delivery of services for people with primary breast cancer. You will be responsible for implementing business plans, maximising access and take-up of services, and ensuring high quality delivery. You will manage the work of a team of Breast Cancer Now staff and contracted facilitators based across the UK. Current services include Moving Forward in-person and online services, and our Speakers Live service.

About you

You care that people with breast cancer are supported to live well.
You’ll be experienced in managing people (including dispersed staff), you’ll have the confidence and skills to lead and drive forward growth. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with others and can communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, both orally and in writing. You’ll have experience of managing support services and implementing protocols and processes, striving to implement and maintain the highest standards.

We’re looking for a senior digital marketing manager – email to jointly lead our team as part of a job share to deliver high performing email campaigns and automations to support the charity’s activity. Working closely together with the other senior digital marketing manager – email, you’ll work across large email projects and campaigns, support the team’s workload and priorities, and create processes to best support their success.

Line managing a senior officer role, you’ll support their development and contribute to our email strategy together with the head of digital engagement.

Purpose of Job

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.  To empower and enable members Living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England.

SHINE has over 14,500 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer.

Our Little Stars project for 0–12 year olds has been established for over 3 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.

We are looking for someone who can cover the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area. You will be home based but will be required to attend clinics in this area and London, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally.

As Senior National Public Affairs Manager, you’ll take the lead in building relationships with key stakeholders in the UK Parliament and Government. This is a high-impact role, designed to influence national policy and improve support for people living with terminal illness.

You’ll shape and deliver external engagement strategies, work on national campaigns, and ensure that Marie Curie’s research and insight are central to conversations about end-of-life care. You’ll also contribute to our internal policy development and play a key role in shaping how our work is communicated publicly.

The post holder will be part of the Policy and Public Affairs, England team and will also work closely with colleagues in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and with colleagues across the charity. This is a maternity cover post and a fantastic opportunity to drive change from the heart of the UK policy landscape

Main Responsibilities: 

• Lead engagement with national policymakers and parliamentary stakeholders.
• Design and deliver impactful events, campaigns and policy initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider charity, devolved nations and our sector partners charity to align public affairs strategies.
• Work with Marie Curie-funded researchers to ensure evidence drives policy influence.
• Represent the charity at external meetings, briefings and events.
• Line-manage officer-level team members, ensuring high performance and development.
• Champion end-of-life care issues through social media and public communications.

Key Criteria:

• Strong experience in lobbying or public affairs, with a proven record of policy influence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to varied audiences.
• Deep understanding of the UK Parliament and Government structures.
• Experience of developing and maintaining senior-level relationships.
• Political judgement, campaign experience, and the ability to manage complex projects.
• Knowledge of health, palliative care or social justice issues in the UK.
• Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into impactful messaging.
• Prior experience in healthcare or palliative care policy and advocacy is considered an asset.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries. The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home. 

You will be responsible for providing administrative support across all aspects of the organisation’s work, including diary management, the organisation of meetings and supporting the delivery of the SCONUL Access Scheme. It’s a role that provides scope for autonomy and to become involved in the full range of the organisation’s work and to develop a broad set of skills.

Job description

Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Project Manager and SCONUL Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Organising the schedule of meetings for the SCONUL Board and SCONUL working Groups.
• Managing the diary of the Executive Director.
• Supporting the delivery of the SCONUL Access Scheme including:
  • answering routine queries from Access Scheme users, applicants and university administrators
  • providing SCONUL Access contacts with timely and relevant information about the scheme
  • providing routine technical support to applicants and university contacts responsible for processing applications and refer potentially more complex or disruptive technical problems
  • drafting changes to website content to reflect the scheme’s current practice and procedures.
• Supporting the delivery of SCONUL events including:
  • drafting and following up invitations to speakers and other participants with support from the Project Manager
  • managing and processing events registrations
  • booking accommodation and travel arrangements when required
  • production of event documentation
  • helping to manage events on site, including briefing and managing colleagues, volunteers, and external suppliers, supporting, advising and directing event participants.
• Processing invoices and other office paperwork.
• Answering general queries from members and students phoned into the office.
• Uploading content onto the SCONUL website and helping keep the content up to date.

Skills and experience required

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our Team.

Our 627 sqm facilities host over 40 members and staff each day, providing a vibrant space for support services, creative projects, and events. As our Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of the centre and offices of Headway East London. You will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our community. Your work will ensure that our centre is not only a functional space but a place where people feel valued and cared for.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with an agency cleaner to perform cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule, to ensure satisfactory levels of cleanliness throughout the building.

• Contribute towards retaining our 5 Star rating kitchen standards by supporting the kitchen team with post lunch cleaning.

• Work flexibly to support with ad hoc cleaning around out of hours events.

• Update the admin team when supplies of consumables are running low, ensuring that basic supplies are always available.

• Update the Admin and Premises Manager with any observation of health and safety risks and concerns.

• Assist the Admin and Premises Manager to improve and maintain our health and safety standards.

• Secure the building at the end of the day.
