The Events team sit within the wider Insight & Strategic Development team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK). The purpose of the Insight and Strategic Development team is to deliver both long term and tactical insight that is grounded in a deep understanding of our audiences. We objectively influence evidence-based decision making, to drive forward organisational priorities for a cure. We do this by inspiring and challenging through our own expertise, working collaboratively to shape actionable insights and champion an insight focused mindset.
The Events team lead on the development and delivery of a wide range of events that stretch across the whole organisation. The key aims of the team are to ensure a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience whether through direct delivery or through consultation with teams looking to deliver events on their own.
The Events Administrator will work closely with the Senior Events Officer and wider Events Team to develop and deliver a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK. The team comprises two Event Officers, two Senior Event Officers and one Senior Event Manager.
This role involves working alongside other team members on the planning and delivery of in-person, hybrid and online events, as well as providing administrative support and recording and reporting on events.
This role will be known internally as Events Executive*.
Key Responsibilities:
Events
· To work alongside colleagues on the delivery of their events, including co-ordinating key tasks such as mailings, documentation and building event registration portals within EventsAIR, our events management software.
· To manage and monitor the Events and Conference inboxes, communicating with colleagues and supporters, as well as event participants and stakeholders. Responding to RSVPs and queries surrounding events.
· To source venues and suppliers for events that ensure best value for the charity and to ensure good record keeping of these contacts.
· To produce high quality support materials required for events, such as leaflets and merchandise, liaising with designers and suppliers and monitor the use of these across the charity.
· To prepare event documentation, including briefs, risk assessments and where applicable seating plans and supporting documentation if required.
· To attend some events; this may include some travel and work outside of ordinary working hours.
Team administration
· To maintain the events calendars, liaising with different teams within the organisation to keep these accurate and up to date.
· To maintain the Events Team’s folders, files and useful documents such as templates and ‘how to guides’.
· To manage the team’s Intranet page making sure that the content is up to date.
· To manage the resources for events and review the materials on a regular basis to see if they are fit for purpose.
· To ensure accurate record keeping of events activity on the fundraising database.
· To use the database to monitor and report on events activity and to manage communications for events.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

This role exists to generate lumpy, time-bound income spikes through well-executed campaigns.
This is a delivery-focused, commercially minded position suited to someone who is comfortable working with data, managing budgets, and being accountable for results.
Key responsibilities
Virtual fundraising challenges (core responsibility):
- Designing and delivering 3–4 virtual fundraising challenges per year.
- Managing each challenge end-to-end, including campaign concept and structure, participant onboarding and journey, fundraising targets, timelines, delivery, and wrap-up.
- Running private Facebook Groups or similar community spaces during live challenge periods.
- Managing paid incentives and paid social advertising budgets.
- Ensuring challenges are repeatable, scalable, and cost-effective.
Supporter-led and external events
- Coordinating and promoting participation in:
- Run for Charity events
- Overseas challenge events (e.g. treks)

- Owning net income targets for each campaign

About you
You will bring:
- Experience in community fundraising, events fundraising, or supporter-led campaigns

We are seeking a proactive and creative Senior Events Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis.

The Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Degrees’ international events, including workshops that bring together funded researchers and the biennial Degrees Global Forum conference. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, they will design and manage high-quality events that strengthen collaboration, showcase research outcomes, and advance Degrees’ mission to support equitable SRM research in the Global South. Key responsibilities
Lead planning and delivery of events
- Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Degrees’ international events, including the biennial Degrees Global Forum and—in cooperation with the programmes team—quarterly regional research workshops.

As Sporting Events Administrator, you will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. We are seeking a talented Communications Manager to amplify UnLtd’s voice and influence within the sector while shining a spotlight on the incredible work of social entrepreneurs. This role is about balance: telling inspiring stories that bring their journeys to life, while also demonstrating measurable outcomes, addressing challenges, and showcasing how our unique funding and support model drives impact.
As a core member of a small, collaborative team, you will create and deliver high-quality communications across multiple channels. Your work will include managing media relations, overseeing day-to-day digital communications and social media, updating and optimising website content, producing marketing and campaign materials, managing communications projects, and supporting events.
We are looking for someone with experience in a broad communications role, including press office expertise, who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings a proactive, learning mindset. The potential for impact is significant: your work will strengthen UnLtd’s positioning as the UK’s leading organisation backing social entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, while engaging funders, partners, and communities to build a fairer, brighter future together.
