Background                                                             

Our 68-year-old charity is one of the most exciting and flexible employers in the charity sector. Having supported 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and their 100,000 heroic volunteer fundraisers to raise more than £1 Billion during the past decade, last year we began to lay the foundations for significant growth in impact during the decade ahead, not just to extend the impact of PTAs, but to provide more broader support for parents in enabling their children to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.

This year we relaunch a national publication for parents new to school, called ‘Be School Ready’, and our new ‘PTA Launchpad’ programme.

Main purpose and scope of Role

This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:

PTA Programme

• Growing our network of PTAs.
• Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
• Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
• Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
• Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
• Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
• Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available. 

Parent Programme

• Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
• Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
• Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
• Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Other Programmes/Services

• Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
• Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
• Feeding into programme design.

Wider Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region. 
• Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
• Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.
• Identify any opportunities for external funding to from LA’s, Companies, or other funders with the support of our fundraising team.

Organisational Effectiveness: 

• Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
• Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
• Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.

General

• To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.

Job Purpose 

This is a new role created to assist the small but growing team at SKT with our primary goal of engaging and mobilising residents in the neighbourhood we serve, numbering around 7500 people. SKT will assume management of community and event spaces at the heart of the neighbourhood this year and we are preparing service providers to make room for community voice in shaping local services. Involving residents in shaping their future is central to our purpose, whether by ensuring local assets and amenities work for them, or by influencing service delivery. This makes the Community Engagement Coordinator role an exciting and important addition to the team.

Main Tasks: 

Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Coordination  

• Recruit and maintain a team of twenty active volunteers from the local community to assist in community building initiatives.

• Develop and deliver a volunteer programme to engage the South Kilburn community which will likely include, but not limited to: 

• Community research and consultation 

• Public space improvements (greening, activation etc)

• Promoting community cohesion through events 

• Train volunteers in peer-engagement and consultation practice, 

• Induct and supervise skilled volunteers, as necessary. 

Community Cohesion and Wellbeing 

• Encourage and inspire volunteers to work as a team, take ownership of each activity, and to celebrate collective successes,

• Involve volunteers in planning and delivering community projects and events. 

Resident Voice 

•  Collaborate with the Community Engagement, Partnership and Marketing Manager to develop and deliver a consultation plan to better understand residents’ needs and priorities,

• Conduct outreach in the community with trained volunteers, including door-to-door canvassing, satisfaction surveys, pop-up stalls etc.

• Collect and systematically analyse information gathered through outreach and community consultation.

Widening Participation 

• Increase rates of community participation, belonging and pride across all segments of the community in South Kilburn. 

• Use creative methods to increase engagement with decision making from all sections of our diverse community.

• Contribute to a new system of representative community governance, enabling the resident body to speak with one voice,

• With partners, support the coordination of community events in South Kilburn.

Empowerment and Progression 

• Maintain continued awareness of local opportunities and train volunteers to disseminate accurate information and signposting, 

• Seek opportunities for volunteer progression including supporting those looking to do so in to work and work-placements with local businesses.

Partnerships and information sharing 

• Maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including partner charities, volunteers, Brent Council officers and community members, 

• Work with the Communications and Engagement officer to disseminate useful information to residents. 

 Other 

• Be an ambassador for SKT and ensure our values of joy, collaboration and inclusion are upheld by the volunteer team. 

• Be responsible for organising team building days and social events for SKT staff, volunteers, and Trustees. 

• As we are a small but growing team, the Community Coordinator is expected to participate in team actions, mobilising through outreach and events to increase our collective impact for the community.

Job purpose

This is a pivotal senior administration role in a charity that is passionate about making a difference to the veterinary care that animals receive. You’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, with the trustee board and with all members of the staff team of about 20 people. The role is responsible for co-ordinating essential governance activities, including preparing, collating and distributing meeting information packs, writing minutes and managing actions following trustee and committee meetings. You’ll also provide diary management support to the Chief Executive and carry out a varied range of administrative tasks – from arranging team meetings to organising the charity’s award and grant-giving programmes.

Responsibilities

Governance and executive support

• Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, including proof reading and formatting documents, diary management, coordinating meetings and production of agendas and minutes
• Take minutes for trustee board and committee meetings, and any other meetings as requested by the Chief Executive Officer
• Organise in-person and virtual trustees meeting as well as other governance meetings as required

• Act as the first point of contact for RCVS Knowledge, monitoring generic inboxes and taking phone calls as required

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. Job Title: Social Media Officer

BACKGROUND

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
• Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
• Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
• Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
• Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to someone who is interested in kick starting a career in fundraising but who is wanting to gain insight into the essential ingredients that underpin successful income generation first.

We are looking for a Member Engagement Officer to assist a lively and talented team with all areas of Remember a Charity’s membership administration, in addition to supporting the marketing and partnerships workstreams.

This is a unique opportunity not only to help grow charitable giving, but to also work closely with those member charities (close to 200) who rely on gifts in Wills to continue their vital work.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain and update records on Remember A Charity’s CRM database and E-Comms mailing lists for charities, legal supporters and partner organisations. To run CRM reports as required.
• To assist with the onboarding of new joiner charities and legal sector supporters.
• To use the website content management system (CMS) to build member charity and legal sector supporter online profiles; and to make any amends to these profiles and other website pages as required.
• To manage the central Inbox and respond to all enquiries or signpost to the relevant team member.
• To co-ordinate the programme of rolling annual membership renewal and new-joiner invoicing, including credit control of all invoices.
• To prepare monthly engagement report  collating key activity metrics for members and legal sector supporters.
• To assist with online and in person member, prospect, and legal sector supporter events, including creating registration links, managing attendee information on the CRM, and other events preparation and follow-up required.
• Representing Remember A Charity at key charity and legal sector exhibitions when required.
• To capture minutes from all key meetings.
• Diary management when required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Experience & Skills

• Computer Literacy, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases;
• Knowledge of charities or membership organisations;
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment or dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.

As well as managing your direct reports you’ll support individuals who are taking part in our many challenge events or organising their own DIY fundraising.  And there’ll be plenty of opportunities to attend events and see our work in action!

You’ll be from a supporter or customer care background.

And ideally be able to demonstrate some understanding of community and events fundraising, supporter journey development, and extensive use of customer relationship databases.
