About the role

We are looking for a Volunteer On-line Meeting Assistant to support the Head of Area (Central Region) with organising and preparing for monthly and quarterly virtual meetings, and on occasion events or conferences.
You will be remote based at home, with some occasional travel for face-to-face meetings (expenses reimbursed), and ideally will be able to commit up to 4 hours per week to volunteering, during usual office hours Monday to Friday.
You will receive training and regular supervision to ensure you feel confident in your role.
What you will be doing as a Volunteer On-line Meeting Assistant
The majority of meetings are held virtually on-line via MS Teams. You will support the Head of Area (and meeting Chair) by:
- Co-ordinating meeting invitations (via MS Teams), attendee registration and apologies
- Distributing documents in advance of meetings
- Take notes of the meeting and share these with attendees, eg, updating SharePoint
- General meeting support, share any slides, launch polls and set up break out rooms as required during virtual meetings
- Co-ordinate and collate post event evaluations and feedback
- Develop and maintain information systems, eg, attendee contact details and distribution lists

Across the UK almost one million children are affected by domestic abuse every year. Hestia's refuges provide tailored support for children and this summer we are recruiting for volunteers to support us to create a summer full of fun.
What you will be doing
To help with the day to day running of the Children & Family Service throughout the summer holidays
To assist organising and facilitating activities and outings with the Children and Family Worker
To use a range of skills and tools to make sessions interesting and fun for a range of ages
To create timetables, posters, maps and instructions for residents
To offer general admin help: typing, taking meeting minutes, filing and scanning documents
To develop positive relationships with the children and women
Support with administrative tasks including attendance and feedback

A crucial volunteer role at the centre, volunteer Centre Assistants help out at least one afternoon per week to warmly welcome members to the centre, help with queries (in person, by email and over the phone) and direct people to our various activities. This is an active and varied way to volunteer where no two days are the same!

Volunteer Van assistant needed! – Eastbourne

We are looking for a Volunteer Van assistant to support our van team in our Furniture Now! Eastbourne store. This role will enable us to support our existing van team and run the van on extra days of the week and maximise the opportunity for furniture collection/deliveries for our charity. We are a donation-based furniture store charity, and donations are vital to the running of our operations. Helping us with the van would help us fulfil our mission and make a big difference!
There will always be a van driver with you, and sometimes a second van assistant as well. Full induction and training are provided ; such as Manual handling (and some of which you can add to your CV!).
By joining us, you will become part of the Furniture Now! Eastbourne store team which is made up of a Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, van driver, and van assistants as well as volunteers. Free hot beverages and biscuits are always available on-site and you will be able to join our team events!
Shift patterns
We are looking for support on Mondays as a priority but would be grateful to receive help anytime of the week! The shift pattern is either a half day (morning shift: 8.30am – 12pm or afternoon shift: 12pm – 4.30pm) or a full day (8.30am – 4.30pm).

Our dynamic team is expanding, and we are on the lookout for passionate individuals to fill the role of Volunteer Assistant Roller Sports Coach. The Role: As a Volunteer Assistant Coach, you will work closely with our Head Coaches to deliver top-notch roller sports training. Your involvement will help shape the experiences of diverse groups, fostering their skills in roller and inline skating across various London locations during weekends, evenings, and school holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in planning and executing roller sports sessions.
· Support the ongoing development of participants by maintaining a supportive and motivational training environment.
· Implement safety protocols to ensure participant well-being.
· Participate in and possibly lead activities during traditional lessons, community projects, clubs, discos, and events.
· Continually monitor and evaluate coaching sessions to maximise effectiveness.
