We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Programme Manager to work for a charity with a small, dynamic and creative communications team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the myaware team as a full-time Events Fundraiser to manage, develop and deliver myaware events and support our in aid of fundraisers.

The role

As Events Fundraiser you will manage and develop myaware’s events portfolio and support in aid of fundraisers. You will also be responsible for managing fundraising volunteers and volunteer fundraising groups. The purpose of the role is to build long-lasting partnerships with supporters and volunteers to achieve maximum events fundraising income for myaware. There will be a requirement to manage records and relationships through the CRM system in line with GDPR.

The Events Fundraiser will be home based within the UK and will work in co-operation with all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising and awareness campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

 Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year experience gained in a fundraising role within a charity, with demonstrable experience of income growth and the ability to meet and exceed income targets. Experience of working with and managing volunteers is essential.

We are a looking for an innovative self-starter to join our small national team of 16 staff. You must be well organised and efficient, with IT skills and experience of using a work-related database or CRM system. Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

Refettorio Felix is an innovative charity providing a restaurant quality 3 course meal freshly made entirely from surplus food in our beautiful space, for free, to vulnerable and economically insecure adults. It also offers wrap around care and support in areas such as housing, mental health and employment. 

We offer our services Monday to Friday during the day. At night and at the weekends the space is for hire as an event venue for weddings, parties and corporate events. 

The role is made up of three major components:

1. Focus on the delivery of the commercial events, being heavily involved in all aspects from marketing through to handling enquiries,  and then managing the client relationship and their event to conclusion. 

2. To organise fundraising events in the space. 

3. To assist with the marketing of the charity in general, including the day to day management of the social media channels. 

You should have some knowledge and interest in web sites, an interest in food would be an advantage. Specific experience in a similar role professionally is not essential, your knowledge could have come through voluntary activities, hobbies, university clubs or elements picked up through part time jobs. Main duties and responsibilities:

· Create and deliver fundraising events in the venue.

· Operate the commercial events office on a daily basis - this includes but is not exclusive to: - managing new clients; receiving inbound enquiries: conducting site visits and recording and managing booking details, invoicing and booking necessary staff as required.

· Operate day to day the Charity’s’ Social Media Channels

Role and Responsibilities

New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.

Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme

1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion

2. Promoting events to members, working alongside REB’s external PR/Communications agency

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role leads on the delivery of Bond’s corporate and CEO level events. This role is managed by the Head of Communications but also works with the corporate and marketing team, the Director of Membership and Communications and CEO. 

The primary focus of this role is to manage and deliver high-quality events for Bond’s corporate partners to help them reach their target audiences, and to deliver high level events for CEOs and senior leaders across our network to help provide senior leaders with the support and skills needed to provide effective and supportive leadership. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Corporate events:

• Manage and deliver a range of events to fulfil contractual commitments with corporate partners.
• Ensure the successful execution of events, including hybrid and face-to-face components, across various locations including potential European venues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events that meet partner expectations and contribute to revenue generation.

2) CEO engagement events:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of events targeting CEOs and senior leaders within our network.
• Coordinate logistics, including speaker liaison, venue sourcing, and event planning for CEO events throughout the year.
• Work closely with senior management to align events with organisational goals and strategies outlined in Bond’s membership strategy.

3) Special projects:

• Coordinate special one-off projects and events as required by members or donors, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

4) General

• Ensure the successful delivery of Bond corporate and CEO events both online and in person, where appropriate.
• Ensure events logistics, including working with any contractors and with any external booking systems are successfully delivered.
• Develop and maintain the Bond corporate and CEO events schedule and ensure that project timelines are adhered to.
• Liaise with speakers and ensure that speakers are successfully briefed
• Support all digital content of uploading and editing sessions and speakers on the Bond website.
• Liaise and work with external event platforms for any major events.
• Scope and research venues and platforms and tools for in-person, online and hybrid events.
• Assist in-person and hybrid event providing support as and when required.
• Working with the Marketing and Membership Manager and Business Development Adviser, ensure that all events communications are delivered in a timely manner and that delegate queries are answered.
• Ensure the successful delivery, when required, of any post-event communications, including blogs and video, and ensure that each event is evaluated.
• Working with the corporate partnerships team, advise and support on the successful delivery of webinars.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with event delivery, including changes in corporate needs or unexpected challenges.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and explore opportunities to optimise event-related expenditures.
• Maintain a portfolio of venues (both free and paid-for) that Bond can use when an in-person event is required. 
• Ensure that all events meet insurance, legal, and health and safety obligations. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal candidate would:
• Have at least 2 years experience of events organisation and management in a similar or comparable setting

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with sponsors, event partners and participants.

• Be able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and manage relationships with Bond’s network of members. 

• Have a good understanding of how events can generate income 

• Be entrepreneurial and flexible, with the ability to identify potential opportunities and partners.

• Be highly organised – able to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales and to manage both strategic and reactive projects effectively. 

• Have a high degree of IT competence.

About the Role

Sense is recruiting for a National Events Fundraiser to join our fantastic Engagement Team in Kings Cross, London on a hybrid basis.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recruitment, marketing and logistics of Manchester Marathon, Great North Run and Royal Parks Half Marathon within the National Events portfolio. This will include delivering an exceptional standard of administrative and logistical support for these allocated Events, delivering a fantastic supporter journey for all participants. This will include application calls and emails, managing administration of places and responding to participant enquiries.  

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage an allocation of core Events within the National Events portfolio including the marketing, recruitment, stewardship and logistics of said Events.
• Manage the income and expenditure budgets for allocated Events and ensure that financial reporting, reforecasting and budgeting is accurate and timely for these Events.
• Build strong relationships with event participants in order to maximise net income, encourage repeat participation and ensure the Event’s success.
• Manage the Events Team inbox, responding to all emails and recording on Raiser’s Edge.

Charity People are seeking a Special Events Officer to join a humanitarian charity to help assist with some upcoming events, as well as other general event administration. The role will start as soon as possible and require two days per week in their London office, whilst you can work the rest remotely if preferred. This is a 35-hour week role, which can be worked flexibly if required. There is a chance this role could become permanent for the successful temporary post holder. At this time, they really require someone with charity events experience to come in and keep things ticking over nicely. JOB TITLE: Communications and Events Officer

SALARY: £25,000+ per annum (FTE)  

LOCATION: Homebase (Preferably Lincolnshire / Notts based, or centrally located in England to attend team meetings, but applicants outside this area will be considered)

HOURS: Part-time of full-time depending on candidate preference, 33 – 37.5 hours per week, flexible working

The Jon Egging Trust is seeking an exceptional Communications and Events Officer to support our small and close-knit Communications and Fundraising Team to create outstanding, inspiring outward-facing communications and deliver our established calendar of fundraising events. You will be joining a fantastically motivated and committed team of home-workers who are passionate about improving the lives of young people through our long-term youth programmes. 

The successful candidate will be a meticulously organised and brilliant team-player with extremely strong written communications and proofreading skills and a track record of working in a professional comms or events environment.

The role would ideally suit someone seeking their second job after graduation, or someone who is returning to the workforce or seeking a change in pace, but if you can convince us that you are the perfect candidate then we will happily consider other applicants.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working autonomously and able to prioritise multiple workloads, and who is endlessly curious and wanting to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities and Events Co-Ordinator to join our team, based in London. You will be working on a full-time permanent basis (37.5 hours per week). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 per annum.

St Luke’s is an established and award-winning charity providing services, community events and projects in the vibrant Old Street area of south Islington.  At the heart of what we do is a large modern community centre that welcomes thousands of visitors each year.

The Activities and Events Co-Ordinator role:

As our Activities and Events Co-Ordinator, you will be passionate for developing a programme of community activities and events that take place throughout the week, MondaySunday. The post-holder will co-ordinate a programme of activities that encourage local residents of all ages to be active, engaged and connected in the community.

Responsibilities of our Activities and Events Co-Ordinator will include:

• To plan, co-ordinate and deliver an annual programme of relevant and accessible activities, classes, events, workshops and outings that keep members of all ages engaged, learning new skills and active in the community
• To work collaboratively with St Luke's service leads and partner organisations ensuring the annual programme of activities and events is co-ordinated and reflects all aspects of St Luke's objectives
• To effectively identify the needs and interests of local residents effectively using a variety of consultation tools including our database, completing surveys and through evaluation
• In collaboration with the Communications Team, to create a range of marketing and promotional material for the activities and events  
• To research and recruit suitably qualified and experienced tutors and facilitators and supervise their involvement in delivering St Luke's programmes
• In collaboration with the Volunteer Co-ordinator to supervise and support a team of volunteers supporting the programme of activities and event
• To report on and review attendance monitoring systems assessing the impact and quality of activities and events
• To maintain efficient manual and computer-based records of data in line with current guidance and procedures
• To oversee and assist in the upkeep of the facilities and equipment reporting defects or issues as necessary

Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities we are looking for in our ideal Activities and Events Co-Ordinator:

• Experience of working in a community setting delivering a range of successful activities and events  
• Experience of developing and managing new and existing activities and events from initial planning to post evaluation
• Organisational, administrative and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver quality work to deadlines
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work comfortably under pressure within a busy environment
• Track record of creating, managing and working within established budgets 
• The ability to work in partnership with a range of colleagues, individuals, organisations and groups to support and engage the local community
• Understanding of how race, sex, age and other issues are relevant when providing support to users and in all dealings with staff, trustees, clients, volunteers and other individuals
