Charity People are thrilled to be partnering with a charity in their search for a new Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator; this is a newly created role that will lead on building meaningful relationships across the local community to generate new income and increase engagement.

The charity "is a small, locally focused homelessness charity working across Enfield and Haringey. We provide vital services including a day centre, advocacy and casework, and a small year-round night shelter. We work in close partnership with local agencies and are a trusted gateway service for those facing homelessness. This role is key to helping us grow our reach and impact through community-driven support."

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a mission-led organisation tackling homelessness as it presents locally. You will lead on community fundraising and engagement, working with schools, faith groups, local businesses, and individuals to inspire support and deliver impactful campaigns.

This new role will be at the centre of community fundraising; building relationships, coordinating events, and delivering campaigns that raise awareness and income. You'll also lead on the development of their annual fundraising campaign and support the upcoming rebrand and communications strategy.

About You

We're looking for someone with proven experience in community fundraising and engagement, someone who can build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and communicate with clarity and warmth. You will be confident managing multiple priorities independently and bring creativity and energy to campaigns and supporter engagement. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus, as is familiarity with fundraising regulations, and a willingness to learn.

There is parking onsite, and travel across the community is paid. Travel in and around the community is flexible across the week for how you wish to make it work. You must have experience in community fundraising to be considered for this role as this is key.

• Significant fundraising management experience in Asia with demonstrable experience of securing five and six figure, and multi year gifts  
• Experience in multiple elements of fundraising including identifying and building supporter bases in new geographies and working with different types of fundraising teams (e.g. philanthropic/HNWIs, trusts and foundations)
• Experience of working in a global team, working across multiple time zones and understanding / experience of working in a matrix style

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Programme Operations Manager is responsible for the operational delivery of our programmes being delivered to young people aged 8-19. This role ensures consistent, high-quality service provision through effective team leadership and comprehensive oversight of programme activities.

Key responsibilities include direct management of the youth work team and supervision of programme implementation to maintain service standards aligned with organisational values. The postholder ensures operational effectiveness through resource allocation, staff support, and robust quality assurance processes.

Working alongside the Programme Development Manager, this position translates organisational objectives into practical programme delivery through systematic implementation and monitoring. The role involves providing youth workers with appropriate resources and professional support to achieve optimal outcomes for young people.

The Programme Operations Manager contributes to organisational decision-making whilst maintaining hands-on programme management. This balance ensures service delivery meets established standards and regulatory requirements.

The position demands proven leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and commitment to youth development principles within our structured framework.

You will help embed our values throughout the organisation and ensure our programmes remain at the cutting edge of youth work practice.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Quality Assurance and Standards Management

· Support the Programme Development Manager to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance frameworks for all youth programmes, ensuring consistent delivery of high standards across all activities.

· Establish quality indicators and performance metrics for programme delivery, conducting regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure continuous improvement.

· Design and implement quality audit procedures, conducting systematic reviews of programme delivery, facilities, and resource utilisation.

Safeguarding and Compliance

● Ensure that full compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.

● Implement comprehensive safeguarding training for all team members, maintaining records and ensuring regular updates.

● Manage safeguarding incidents and concerns.  In the absence of the Designated Safeguarding Leads liaise with external agencies including social services, police, and other statutory bodies.

● Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across all programme areas, conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits.

● Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including data protection, health and safety, and equality requirements.

Data Management and Reporting

● Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of programme data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funder requirements.

● Contribute to the preparation of regular reports for leadership team, funders, and external stakeholders on programme performance and quality indicators.

● Maintain comprehensive records of all programme activities, participant outcomes, and quality assurance measures.

● Implement feedback mechanisms for participants, parents, and stakeholders, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

Partnership and Stakeholder Management

● Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organisations, and partner agencies.

● Represent the organisation at multi-agency meetings and sector networks, promoting collaborative approaches to youth work, as required.

● Coordinate with external providers delivering services within AYP premises, ensuring quality standards are maintained.

● Build positive relationships with parents and carers, maintaining regular communication about programme delivery and young people's progress.

· In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Avenues. 

· Participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences, and other functions as necessary. 

· Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

● A Level 3 or above Youth Work Qualification is desirable, or experience equivalent.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacys;  retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraisering team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundrasing database.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to impliment it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccuring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

Your purpose 

This is a critical role in the Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs Department. As Public Affairs Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and  project managing and delivering public affairs work as well as leading public relations work that increases our profile with policy makers. In doing so, you will play  an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, find their voice for success in school  and in life.

Public Affairs (80%)

• Drive forward Voice 21’s public affairs strategy, building key relationships, understanding and momentum that develops Voice 21’s influence with Government and non-parliamentary policy makers, ensuring that we have a meaningful role in shaping an oracy entitlement for every child, and appropriate mechanisms for its implementation

• Deliver Public Affairs business as usual work, for example; organising school visits, leading political and parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping and horizon-scanning and organising events in parliament and at party conferences

• Work with policy makers on local, regional and national level to influence those responsible for the delivery of education at primary and secondary level

• Engage and manage stakeholders and other key people across and beyond the organisation who work with the Learning, Impact and Influence directorate to leverage relationships in pursuit of our organisational strategy and mission

• Lead on Voice 21’s role as secretariat to the Oracy All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) 

• Produce/co-produce consultation responses, blogs, internal and external briefings, parliamentary questions and other related communications in line with our content strategy

• Act as an internal expert consultant on public affairs, decision makers and implementation of our agenda

Public Relations (20%) 

• Deliver public relations activity to raise our profile and support our brand, including through awards, events and speaking engagements 

• Spotting reactive communications opportunities in line with the public affairs strategy 

Your progression

Within 1 month, you’ll have:

• Started building strong working relationships with the team, warm policy makers and sector partners

• Created a database of influential head teachers

• Helped refine our policy asks in key areas into easy-to-communicate goals

Within 3 months, you’ll have: 

• Used analysis and polling to build reports on key advocate groups who can help spread our messages

• Launched our Oracy APPG

• Refined our monitoring and reactive opportunity spotting systems

From 6 months onwards, we expect for you to be:

• Have worked with our research team to develop a literature review of oracy education policy at local and national level

• Migrated our contract tracking to Salesforce and expanded it to capture relationships help at local and national levels

• Having developed a public profile among education policy makers

We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. About the role

Richmond AID have 3 main advice teams: Information Navigation, Benefits Advice and Money Advice. We also administer a number of grants on behalf of local grant giving charities and the local authority. Our teams are busier than ever and this role will play a vital part in supporting the team with administration tasks including; taking client enquiries from the phone, website and email and uploading them to our database, scanning and photocopying.

You will spend your time working directly with clients with a range of physical, sensory and mental health impairments to help them to fill in grant allocation forms and other forms and helping people to know their rights. You will also support our advice teams administratively; arranging appointments, sending emails and letters and uploading information to our database.

You will receive training in a range of advice areas (housing, health and social care, benefits, transport and travel) as well as other relevant topics such as various mental health conditions, managing challenging behaviour, professional boundaries, and case management. You will be supported by a friendly team of experienced advisers who will have the opportunity to shadow and you will also have access to a range of external training and development opportunities.

You will need to have clear written and oral communication skills as you will need to make phone calls and write emails and letters to clients as well as providing progress updates to the team.

You will work closely with our experienced advice team and we can offer opportunities for training and development in a range of areas including social care, housing and benefits to support you on your journey to becoming and advisor.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have solid administration and organisational skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have strong communication skills across all levels and will be a real team player with a genuine interest in supporting disabled people.
