The Role
We are looking for an Advice & Guidance Officer who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of deaf children, young people, and their families.
A key focus of this role will be delivering the service remotely using technology. In addition, you will use your interpersonal skills and experience working with families to connect with local community groups, raise awareness of our services, promote membership, and provide support to families, deaf young people, and professionals.
This role is part time, based on 21 hours per week.
This is a fully remote role, but will have a focus on Central Scotland Casework and will require some regional travel so applicants should live in Scotland and possess a driving licence and have access to a car.

The post-holder will be a priest of the Church of England, or of a church in full communion with it. Working Hours - The expectation is of a similar time commitment as a parish priest. There is an expectation of some work, and ministry being exercised, outside office hours. There will be some evening commitments. The rest day is generally a Friday or Saturday. On Sundays, the Chaplain will usually be expected to be available to take services and preach where needed.

Our trauma‑informed, holistic approach offers wraparound assistance that addresses housing needs alongside wider wellbeing challenges, helping beneficiaries build resilience and sustain long‑term housing solutions.
The service operates a gateway model, giving the Armed Forces community a single point of contact for housing, financial, employability and wider support.

The Part-Time Manager for Our Place and Our Voice leads AoD’s work on co-production, peer support, campaigning and community engagement. The role coordinates peer-led programmes, develops accessible training and events, and builds partnerships that promote inclusion and representation. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, the postholder ensures that AoD’s values of co-production and Disabled leadership are embedded throughout the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead, plan and coordinate AoD’s Our Place and Our Voice programmes, including co-production, peer support and community engagement initiatives.
2. Develop and deliver accessible training, workshops and events that build confidence, skills and leadership among Disabled people.
3. Recruit, supervise and support volunteers, peer facilitators and freelancers to deliver activities safely and effectively.
4. Build and maintain positive partnerships with local authorities, VCSE organisations, health services and community networks to promote the voice of Disabled people.
5. Promote co-production practice across AoD’s services, working with other managers to embed user involvement in service design and review.
6. Ensure all activities are inclusive, accessible and aligned with the Social Model of Disability.
7. Monitor and evaluate project performance, including collecting data, feedback and case studies to evidence impact.
8. Manage budgets within agreed limits and support financial planning and reporting to the Chief Executive.
9. Prepare and submit funding applications and tender bids (in conjunction with the Chief Executive) to support programme sustainability and growth.
10. Ensure compliance with AoD policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety and data protection.
11. Represent AoD positively at external meetings, forums and events, promoting our work and values.
12. Work collaboratively with other AoD departments to promote shared learning and inclusive practice.

The selected candidate will deliver sexual health and well-being outreach and support for targeted groups in commissioned South West London boroughs, focusing on those at increased risk of poor sexual health.
The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the needs of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. We’re looking for an experienced partnerships manager to play a key role in driving Oak's growth and impact by increasing adoption of its resources across schools and Multi Academy Trusts. This is a highly collaborative role, combining strong education sector insight with a proactive, target-driven approach to partnership development.
You will work with colleagues across the organisation to generate and qualify opportunities through events, networks, referrals, and outreach, building a focused pipeline aligned to shared priorities. Through structured discovery conversations, you’ll develop a clear understanding of school needs, readiness, and strategic fit, helping shape how we engage and support partners.
You will assess and triage opportunities against agreed criteria, working closely with subject and curriculum leads to prioritise those with the greatest potential for impact and influence, and to determine where we focus our efforts.
Alongside this, you’ll build trusted relationships with educators, growing a network of 'champion' schools that support peer learning and community engagement.
You’ll maintain clear pipeline visibility through accurate CRM management and data-led insight, using this to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. Working cross-functionally, you’ll share learnings from the field to influence messaging, product development, and how Oak delivers for schools.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the continuous improvement of lead nurture processes, including events, networks, referrals and targeted outreach, aligned to the go-to-market strategy.
Run structured first conversations, assess readiness, tier opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records within an active partnerships pipeline.
Build and nurture relationships with user schools to develop Oak champions, and organise in-person and online community events (e.g. webinars, group INSET, local cluster meetings), including representing Oak at relevant in-person events and school visits.
As a member of the Oak Team, contribute to the planning and culture of the organisation.
Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.
Deputise for the Partnerships Lead and take on other general responsibilities as required.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience managing direct relationships with schools and/or Multi Academy Trusts.
Experience leading structured conversations with decision-makers to conversion in a business or product context.
Strong organisational skills and CRM discipline.
Practical understanding of product/service adoption processes in schools.
Motivated by long-term adoption and impact.
The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute in all areas to ensure Oak is successful. You will be comfortable working at pace, with a range of digital systems (including proprietary ones as required) and you will continuously look at ways that the team can keep getting better. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.
