Background                                                             

Our 68-year-old charity is one of the most exciting and flexible employers in the charity sector. Main purpose and scope of Role

This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:

PTA Programme

• Growing our network of PTAs.
• Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
• Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
• Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
• Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
• Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
• Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available. 

Parent Programme

• Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
• Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
• Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
• Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Other Programmes/Services

• Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
• Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
• Feeding into programme design.

Wider Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region. 
• Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
• Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.
• Identify any opportunities for external funding to from LA’s, Companies, or other funders with the support of our fundraising team.

Organisational Effectiveness: 

• Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
• Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
• Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.

General

• To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.
• To be flexible within the broad remit of the post.

The Role

As an Active Sports Officer, you will assist in the day-to-day operation and management of The Hub, the largest, most popular outdoor sports facility in central London.

Delivering outstanding customer service, you will create opportunities for under-represented groups to engage in sport and physical activity, generating income from sports bookings, events and fitness licensing in Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill.

About the role:
 

The Philanthropy & Events Executive will support our Philanthropy Lead and Managing Director to effectively manage existing match funding partner (“Champion”)  relationships, and help to develop new Champion relationships. You will support with Champion onboarding, stewarding and reporting as well as research, prospecting, and business development activities.  You will also manage events for high-value supporters, and play a key role in helping us grow the number of Champions through our events, such as our annual Big Give Christmas Party and Philanthropy Lunches. 

About you:

You will be an organised self-starter with exceptional personal and communication skills. As a “tech first” organisation, we’re looking for someone with exceptional digital skills, experience in data administration and management and able to collate, segment and analyse donor information.  You will also have experience with CRM systems (experience using Salesforce would be advantageous) and processes to help manage the journey of our match funding partners (“Champions “). Fundraising Public Relations Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.  

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with a small, dedicated team to provide fundraising, comms, and event support to our community fundraising groups.  

High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024.  Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.  

The role requires a creative thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Main responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

· Create and promote compelling and engaging content for web, social media, and email – ensuring that all comms have clear goals and outcomes.

· Manage the key relationships with the Guild fundraising Committee and the SOA fundraising committee including comms, marketing, and event support as well as helping to manage the key relationships with the Knights Templar sub-groups, and the County Priory Groups across the UK.  

· To put in place measures for evaluating the effectiveness of all fundraising, PR and marketing activity ensuring robust data collection, analysis procedures, and making suggestions for improvements where required.

· Manage the production of key organisational publications – including, the Jerusalem Scene magazine, Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Annual Leaflet, and other promotional materials.

· To work closely with the Executive Head of UK Office and project partners to deliver a new website, contributing expertise and ideas in regard to its look, feel and functionality.

· Take responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the website, working with external consultants where required to resolve issues.  

· Understand and apply the principles of up-to-date SEO.

· Working with colleagues in Jerusalem to maintain a bank of compelling messages, narratives, and case studies for use across all external communications.

PR & Media

· To actively promote the charity’s fundraising endeavours including drafting all external and internal messaging to both new and existing supporters – e.g. email campaigns, newsletters, invitations, letters, speeches, presentations etc. for senior staff and volunteers.

· Managing press and media opportunities related to SJEHG’s fundraising activities.  

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with press and media, proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage, drafting press releases, media plans, articles, and other materials for SJEHG’s fundraising activities.

· To provide counsel and advice to senior leadership on external and internal messaging, as required.

Other

· To assist with the management of the marketing budget, monitoring expenses, ensuring cost effectiveness, seeking to maximise return on investment.

· To keep accurate records and help ensure effective data management processes across the organisation.

· Collaborate effectively with colleagues and a wide range of individuals and organisations.

· To uphold and enhance the charity’s brand identity through consistent messaging, and visual elements across all communication channels and materials.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team. You will work alongside the other Finance Officer to ensure that Richmond Borough Mind’s financial administration operates in an efficient and timely manner.

Working with Sage50 Cloud Accounting, you will process supplier invoices, payments and expenses by setting up BACS payments, standing orders and direct debits as necessary.  You will assist with monthly accounts; preparing monthly payroll information and processing month end schedules as requested.

We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the Yorkshire region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities. 

In this role you will be: 

• Identifying, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide. 

• Proactively promoting suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide. 

• Equipping a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education. 

• Delivering training and raising awareness of products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers and other trainers. 

• Contributing to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the Strategic Plans. 

• Contributing to and promoting campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans. 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities 

• A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

• Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience 

• Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work 

• The ability to travel to different locations across the Yorkshire area to attend meetings, events and deliver training. 

Salary: £29,269 per annum (NALC SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (NALC SCP 23)

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a passion and energy for politics to join our team and help us develop compelling policy solutions and advocacy campaigns to engage, inspire and influence decision makers in the run-up to the 2024 General Election and beyond to ensure nature’s recovery is kept at the heart of the public and political conversation.

You will play a key role in securing nature’s recovery across the two counties and beyond. Our recent campaign, such as our joint Tipner West Campaign with the RSPB successfully mobilised over 30,000 people to take action to oppose a development on legally protected habitats. We are soon launching an advocacy campaign to get legal protections in local and national policy for all our iconic chalk streams.

This is an exciting time for nature policy locally and nationally and you will be working to shape policy and how it is delivered on the ground, for example working on the Local Nature Recovery Strategies and driving councils to integrate the Strategy into their plans, policies and delivery.
