This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our friendly team and help support the continued work of our LifeSkills Plus team across Birmingham. You will provide intensive support to adults with complex needs who are further away from employment or training by using a strength-based approach, ensuring those accessing the programme receive appropriate practical and emotional support by visiting them at home or in the community.
The LifeSkills programme supports individuals and families to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. The LifeSkills Support Worker will work closely with the linked LifeSkills programme, entitled LifeSkills Open.
Main Responsibilities:
· Hold a caseload, delivering regular face-to-face support.
· Deliver a range of support and interventions to individuals with complex needs that focus on their strengths, and which enable them to consider options and think differently, helping them to feel more empowered and able to face new challenges
· Support and deliver activities that increase confidence, improve mental health, widen social networks, help with budgeting and enable individuals to seek training, work or volunteering opportunities.

· Experience of working in services that deliver positive outcomes for individuals and their families
· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to present to a range of audiences and to communicate effectively; and proven ability to develop and sustain relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.

The Role – Assistant Manager (Sunderland Hub)

Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner has appointed Catch22 to deliver the Beacon Victim Care Service across the county. Catch22 Victim Services provide tailored support to individuals, to empower them to cope, and to recover, from the impact of crime.
Job Description
As Beacon Team Leader, you will be a member of the local management team within the victim service, managing a team of Beacon Support Workers as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring the effective delivery of end to end support for victims in line with contractual expectations. You will provide line management support, supervision and guidance to the team in line with Catch22’s policies and procedures.
You will ensure that victims receive a high quality service through the effective management of the team’s performance, maintaining organisational and professional standards expected of the victim service. You will ensure that victims’ needs are reviewed and met in line with the key targets and contractual expectations.
You will maintain a close working relationship with police partners, statutory services and voluntary agencies ensuring relationships are effectively managed and pathways of support for victims remain seamless to provide a high quality and consistent service. You will provide management oversight of presenting risks and needs ensuring matters are managed and escalated appropriately and actions taken expediently as deemed appropriate to the presenting situation.
Qualifications
As Beacon Team Leader, with responsibility for the effective running of the Victim Service on a day-to-day basis, you will have a great opportunity to be involved in a number of varied projects working at the heart of the delivery of our strategic ambition. What will you do?

- Assist the events manager with delivery of events, particularly during evenings and weekends.
- Assist with the cleaning of the site as and when needed.
- Assist with room setup and moving of furniture safely. This includes preparing spaces to host events and functions, packing down and cleaning afterwards. And to service ongoing regular lettings.

About the Role
As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining our services, and assessing the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
- Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
- Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
- Keep accurate & confidential case records on a bespoke case management system
- Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
- Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support
- Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer
- Work as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients
About You
You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.
You will need:
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to navigate and utilise bespoke case management systems effectively and an ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard
- Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.

General Overview
FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and supporting all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders, and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
As the Devon Service Manager, you will oversee all the adult ITRS team and be instrumental in developing and sustaining networks, partnerships and new networks across Devon. You will be responsible to the Head of Service and be part of the service manager team working closely alongside the other service managers.
Alongside your service manager colleagues, you will play a key leadership role in the delivery, development, and oversight of high-quality services for individuals impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, as well as for those who use harmful behaviours. You will be part of a team managing a diverse portfolio of services spanning prevention, crisis intervention, behaviour change, survivor recovery, and professional training. These include in-person interventions and digital platforms, therapeutic services and outreach across all age groups and communities.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-responsive, culturally competent and inclusive, with a strong focus on safeguarding, survivor voice and best practice. You will support teams to deliver consistently excellent support, ensure contract compliance and drive continuous improvement and innovation in a changing landscape.

As the Devon Service Manager, you will have experience working with health professionals in a management or training capacity, and a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed practice and managing risk. Operational Responsibilities
- Service Delivery Oversight: Ensure the smooth and effective daily running of services across all areas—domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, behaviour change, survivor recovery, and training—delivered both in-person and digitally.

- Grow PILC’s individual donor and supporter base.
- Work closely with the Director and project teams to translate our legal and advocacy work into clear, compelling funding propositions.
- Manage the full grants cycle, ensuring excellent stewardship and compliance with funder requirements.
- Build new relationships with trusts and foundations and steward relationships with existing funders.
- Secure income from trusts and foundations, including developing multi-year or higher-value grants over time.
- Ensure all fundraising activity complies with PILC’s Ethical Fundraising Policy and relevant regulations.
