Financial Modelling Analyst | £50,000 - £55,000 | 12-month FTC | Fully Remote

For the UKs largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Financial Modeller / Analyst on a 12-month contract which could go permanent. Working closely with the finance business partners and commercial operations teams, this role will develop models to review commercial bids and acquisitions and provide insight to senior leaders on value drivers to inform decision making around bidding strategy and financial planning. This role will suite someone with first-rate commercial tendering, bidding, financial modelling, and Excel skills and a strong relationship builder from either the commercial or social enterprise sector. CFA or CIMA qualifications are preferred. Please note, this is a fully remote role but applicants need to be UK-based.

Main Duties:

• Deliver financial and commercial analytics, and modelling, focusing on new business development, bidding and tendering
• Implement best practices in modelling and business development processes across the group
• Utilise modelling standards such as FAST, F1F9, Mazars, Smart, ICAEW Modelling Code, Operis, or BPM.
• Summarise and present complex opportunities and risks for senior management decision-making

Person Specification:

• CFA is preferred, but would consider CIMA or ACCA qualified too

You will be responsible for coordinating the internal operations of the organisation including contract management, ICT, office and HR support.  This role will also be responsible for travel logistics, event administration, contractual, grant and financial administration and internal office systems. Key responsibilities: 

Execute financial administration tasks to time (25%):

• Add invoices to the accounting software package Xero purchase ledger 

• Support payments to suppliers and partners. 

• Preparing sales invoices for submission 

• Review invoices and timesheets submitted by consultants prior to payment. 

Organising and providing meeting support (15%):

• Organise meetings and international workshops in the UK and in overseas locations within an agreed budget. This includes the planning and coordination of logistics, such as participants registrations, venue selection, travel arrangement, accommodation and catering, as well as the circulation of meeting documents and invitations, and the processing of travel expenses and invoices. 

• Provide on the day support for meetings and workshops including catering and ICT. 

• To provide secretarial support to the Board of Trustees. including identification of appropriate meeting dates, circulation of papers and drafting of minutes.

• Update information concerning Trustees and the latest audit with Companies House. 

Support the administration and monitoring of grants agreements (15%)

• Coordinate the invitation and submission of grant proposals. 

• Prepare draft grant agreements based on approved applications. 

• Review quarterly financial reports submitted by partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement. 

• Carry out internal financial audits of partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement in how the funding is managed. 

Coordinating the administration and monitoring of consultancy contracts  (25%). 

• Support the recruitment, negotiations and management of consultants and advisors including coordination with the client. 

• Prepare draft consultancy contracts based the agreed scope of work and conditions. 

• Coordinate and monitor consultants’ timesheets to capture time billed against the days allocated in the contracts and approval process. 

Execute office administrative tasks to time (20%)

• Coordinate, relay internal emails to staff, reserve equipment and venues for presentations and in-person staff meetings, maintain office calendars and send out meeting reminders.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the ‘Head of Finance and Organisation Development’, the Management Accountant will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts

· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations

· Preparing quarterly Project ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Project Managers

The Alderley Edge and Knutsford Circuit comprises five churches in Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Mobberley, Plumley and Mottram St Andrew

A key member of the Circuit Leadership Team (CLT), the prime responsibilities are to manage the Church properties within the circuit; provide financial support and reporting services appropriate to each Church and to manage and develop circuit communications. Additionally, the role will provide administrative and compliance support to the Circuit ministry team and Circuit Leadership team.

As a key member of the CLT, the job holder will play a full part in the development of the Circuit’s mission and ministry. Reporting to the Superintendent Minister, the role is full time, with flexibility over the pattern of hours worked.

The role will include:

Leading on operational projects, including:

• Faith community engagement
  • Processing faith/ belief community registrations and maintaining records
  • Approaching existing and prospective faith/ belief communities, including follow up to the annual survey and periodical team campaigns
• Assisting with the production of the annual physical directory
• Co-ordinating the annual Affiliates Scheme
• Researching new initiatives or solutions

Supporting events, including:

• Support in the administration of the online Prisons Awareness Course and other webinar events, including technical support
• Planning bi-annual team days and any one-off events, in consultation with the Project Manager
• Planning bi-annual team campaign periods, in consultation with the Project Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
• Preparing resources and/or PowerPoint presentations and booking logistics, in consultation with the Project Manager and the Communications & Fundraising Officer

Leading on administration, including:

• Answering phone, email, and letter enquiries
• Purchasing of supplies and dispatch of resources
• Co-ordinating and setting up meetings
• Collating routine data and creating trackers to support operations
• Creating an annual team planner
• Taking minutes at specific meetings
• Leading on team password management
• Following up with stakeholders as required

Supporting on financial operations, including:

• Processing expenses claims and issuing internal invoices
• Paying-in cheques and paying external invoices
• Maintaining the organisational asset register
• Obtaining Gift Aid declarations

This HR Manager role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis. The salary band is £35,000-£45,000 and has flexible working arrangements, as a remote role with occasional travel.
 
You will report to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services and be the primary point of contact for all operational HR matters and provide an inclusive people focused HR service. You will foster strong relationships between employees, line managers, and HR ensuring the delivery of an effective HR function.
 
You will have a hands-on approach and to all aspects of the employee relations cycle which includes leading on recruitment campaigns and onboarding/offboarding. You will maintain and update the HR system. You will conduct data analysis on key HR metrics. In addition to this, you will review, process, and implement HR policies and drive continuous improvement of the HR function.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and have a vast amount of demonstratable HR experience, with at least a couple of years working in HR Manager roles.
 
You will have experience of advising and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters. You will have experience reviewing, developing, updating and implementing HR policies. You will have an understanding of GDPR and the ability to handle confidential/sensitive information. You will have experience using HR and payroll systems. You will be a forward thinker who has a track record of introducing new ways of working and leading HR projects.
 
You will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will be a forward thinker who strives for continuous improvement and able to work under pressure. You will be self-motivated and have experience working as a part of team.
 
Desirably, you will have experience working in the charity sector and a degree in Human Resources or similar educational qualification. You will have an understanding of employment law, regulations, and ethical HR practises. You will have experience helping an organisation through a period of change and be able to align HR strategy to business objectives.
