About the role
Mission Without Borders is seeking an experienced Salesforce Configuration Specialist to focus on three key areas; Configuring a new Salesforce platform, integration of existing platforms, and supporting users around the world.

As a Salesforce expert and product champion, the post holder will work closely with our existing Salesforce Support Specialists and Salesforce team, configuring the new system as well as being the first point of contact for Salesforce support across all staff in all 18 countries. Working with the system solution designs and architecture design documents created by the Salesforce Systems Architect, they will configure a brand-new Salesforce platform for program and beneficiary management. They will also need to ensure it is integrated with our existing NPSP donor management platform and works with other systems and services across the organisation.

In addition to configuration, they will triage incoming tickets, provide support, fix problems, make configuration changes, and work closely with our International Project Manager and Salesforce Developer and Product Owner to manage change requests. 

Who we are looking for 
You will have proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator and strong experience implementing new configurations from scratch. Educated to relevant degree level (or equivalent, or qualified by experience), be a certified Salesforce Admin, and have experience with NPSP. NPC would be an advantage. 

A logical thinker, excellent problem solver, and an ability to juggle multiple duties and prioritise competing tasks. You must be able to translate solution designs and technical designs into working solutions. 

You must be an excellent written and verbal communicator, have strong stakeholder management skills, and be excellent at customer service.

You must be an exceptionally competent English speaker and have the right to travel to the UK and work in one of the following countries: UK, Albania, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Switzerland or Ukraine.

Team

Reporting to the Head of Sales (currently fulfilled by the account management team), collaborating with the Head of Community and Sales & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator. Work closely with the membership and account management team, programme and project managers. Liaise and collaborate across the business with product, data services and communications. 

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the account management team to identify, target and secure long term government, corporate, and private income from various sources to deliver the team target of £2m

• Support the team in the management of multiple high-level and enterprise client relationships (six-figure contracts) 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders

  • Attend client meetings and take live notes, record actions and send follow up emails summarising the meeting outcomes and next steps

Insight and Evaluation Manager

About the Role

As part of the Strategy, Finance, and Operations Team, the Insight and Evaluation Manager will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data to deliver, monitor, and fund our programme in a timely and effective way. You will manage, analyse, interpret and present data, most of it recorded on Salesforce, in order to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants, and ensure that our programme is fully funded.

The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a  €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future. 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.

This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. It requires strong project management skills, good grant-making practice and the ability to manage relationships with diverse partners.  We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with considerable scope and complexity; and who embraces the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment where learning, adaptability, and building the plane as we fly it are central!

Responsibilities and Competencies:

Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on shaping the design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund utilising appropriate project management frameworks.

• Coordinate high quality project deliverables including implementing an AI training programme at scale and convening peer learning and knowledge sharing workshops. 

• Collaborate closely with Finance and Senior Leadership to manage and monitor the programme budget and expenditure.

• Identify, escalate and contribute to addressing programmatic risks to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and donor requirements.

Grant Making and Management

• Lead the design and implementation of the AI Opportunity Fund grant making function, embedding good grant making practice whilst adhering to donor expectations.

• Provide excellent stewardship of a large portfolio of grants, providing technical support and effectively managing escalated issues to ensure the programme achieves its strategic objectives.

• Build the capacity of the wider AI Opportunity Fund team in grant making skills and capabilities. 

• Manage and coach the Grants Officer, ensuring they deliver their grants administration responsibilities effectively. 

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

• Provide excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, securing their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner. 

• Cultivate, maintain and oversee strong relationships with wider stakeholders on the programme including service providers and evaluation partners.

• Support senior leadership to position the programme strategically internally and externally in order to advance CPIE’s reputation and offer. 

Monitoring, Evaluation  and Learning

• Ensure that CPIE prepares and submits accurate, timely and high quality programme and grant reports to Google, CPI’s Board and other key audiences.

• Collaborate closely with the Communications Team, Senior Leadership and external providers to ensure robust impact measurement of the AI Opportunity Fund.

• Grant Strategy & Planning: Developing and implementing the grants strategy with a comprehensive, rolling programme of grant applications that are perfectly aligned with our charity’s strategic plans and agreed annual budget. We'll be focusing on securing those larger, transformative grants that make a real difference to starting each year with a higher percentage of funding already secured.  

• Funder Research & Identification: Proactively researching and identifying new, high-potential funding opportunities that truly resonate with Scotty's mission and strategic priorities. This means using industry best practices and relationship building to find our perfect partners.  

• Proposal Development & Submission: Leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, persuasive grant applications. This involves crafting compelling narratives from the heart, developing robust budgets factoring in overheads, and ensuring timely submission.   

• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both our existing and prospective funders. This means regular, personalised communication, sharing impactful updates and acting as a Scotty’s ambassador at funder events and meetings.  

• Grant Management & Reporting: Meticulously managing all stages of awarded grants, including careful financial tracking (using Salesforce), ensuring we always adhere to grant agreements, and compiling comprehensive, insightful end-of-project reports that truly demonstrate our impact and foster continued support.  

• Internal Collaboration: Working closely with our Families team, Finance Team, Comms Team and Fundraising Team to identify funding needs, gather powerful impact data, and ensure seamless delivery and awareness of all grant-funded activities. We work to weekly transparent Success Measures (3 key agreed metrics which help show we’ve had a great week and give leading and lagging indicators on how we’re doing), monthly and quarterly budget targets and short, daily and weekly team huddles to share good news, keep our culture forefront and ensure we can best support each other and deliver for the charity.  

• Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of grant opportunities, regularly tracking progress, and providing accurate forecasting to help us make smart, strategic decisions for our future.

3-Month Goals:  

• Onboarding & Immersion: Dive deep and achieve a comprehensive understanding of Scotty’s operating system (The Scotty’s OS), our values, our behaviours, our mission, and the significant impact we have. This will happen through intro meetings with everyone on the team and a tailored onboarding program.  

• Grant Portfolio Audit & Handover: Conduct an audit of our existing grant portfolio, reviewing active grants, reporting schedules, and our funder relationships. We'll begin the handover process for existing relationships with the Head of Fundraising, ensuring a smooth transition.  

• Funder Engagement & Feedback: Reach out and initiate contact with at least 5 key existing funders. This is about listening, gathering their valuable feedback, understanding their priorities, and beginning to build those personal, trusting rapports.  

• Pipeline Initiation: Identify and qualify a minimum of 5 new potential grant-making organisations. We'll prioritise those who truly align with Scotty's mission and have the capacity for significant, multi-year funding – our future partners.  

6-Month Goals:  

• Income Target Ownership: Take full, enthusiastic ownership of ensuring we are on track to hit our existing grant budget lines. You'll provide regular and accurate forecasting, keeping us all informed and confident.  

• Relationship Deepening: Strengthen relationships with at least 5 key funders, leading to demonstrable progress towards increased or renewed multi-year support.  

• New Grant Acquisition: Secure at least 2 new grants of significant value (e.g. £10k+) from previously untapped funders, showcasing your success in converting those pipeline opportunities into real impact.

About the role:

This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.

As an External Trainer you will:

• Manage, coordinate and deliver professional, engaging and interactive training sessions to external clients using a range of facilitation methods, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed training objectives, materials and quality standards.
• Lead on the design and development of bespoke learning content to meet client needs and support strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining close relationships with external clients.
• Responsible for managing delegates, dealing with any issues that arise throughout the learning session. Ensure that all nationally directed learning is delivered in line with the approved materials and standards.
• Lead on the continuous improvement of training, using assessments and feedback to make recommendations for amendments. Review and update training content regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

You will need:

• Experience of delivering training programmes using a variety of different methods e.g. face to face, virtual and one to one, managing delegates and issues that may arise
• Experience of designing and delivering training for adult learners, ideally within a commercial or client-facing environment
• Experience of delivering soft skills training and experiential learning activities
• Ability to develop a range of learning and development solutions that meet client priorities
• Experience of planning courses and evaluating outcomes
• A driving licence as this role does require frequent travel across England and Wales

Key Responsibilities
 
Business Development — Core Focus
 
 

• Develop and lead the business development strategy to expand market presence, secure new contracts, and grow sustainable income streams.
• Identify new markets, service offerings, and strategic partnerships that align with Helpforce’s mission and impact goals.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, partnerships, and commercial agreements.
• Oversee the preparation of bids, proposals, and tenders, working with internal teams to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Leverage Helpforce’s reputation and evidence of impact to generate new business opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Build strong commercial relationships with public sector bodies, corporate partners, and health system leaders.

 
Fundraising — Leadership Oversight
 

• Provide strategic oversight of all fundraising activities including trusts, foundations, major donors, and institutional funders.
• Directly line manage the fundraising function, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Support the development of high-quality funding applications, stewardship plans, and donor communications.
• Ensure fundraising activities comply with ethical standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the CEO and Trustees on high-value fundraising relationships.

 
Leadership & Strategy

• Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contributing to organisational strategy and leadership.
• Set income targets, KPIs, and performance metrics across business development and fundraising.
• Work with Finance to monitor budgets, forecast income, and manage financial risks.
• Represent Helpforce externally at high-profile events, conferences, and with key stakeholders.

 
Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, corporate partners, and public sector stakeholders.
• Support senior-level relationship-building with strategic funders and institutional partners, working alongside the CEO and Trustees where appropriate.

 
Person Specification
 
Essential

• Senior-level experience (7 years) in business development, commercial partnerships, or strategic fundraising,
• Experience in a non-profit, NGO, social enterprise, or impact-driven business.
• Proven track record of securing significant business contracts or partnerships.
• Strong leadership and line management experience.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial acumen, and contract management skills.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders including public sector, corporate, and philanthropic partners.
• Experience in setting and delivering income growth strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for proposals, reports, and presentations.

 
Desirable
