Job description

Victim Support is looking for a Domestic Abuse Programme Operations Manager. This role is full time and home based with travel around England and Wales.

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.

Victim Support (VS) is looking for an outstanding team who will deliver a transformational national Domestic Abuse early help support programme. This programme will provide specialist information and support, enabling people to act on domestic abuse as soon as possible and stop it from happening again. Funding for this programme has been secured for 3 years (to December 2023).

As Operations Manager you will lead, manage and develop staff in providing safe, high quality and consistent group work services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse across England and Wales. You will work closely with the Domestic Abuse Programme Lead to ensure the whole service is responsive to client needs and has the resilience to cope with demand and change.

The successful candidate will require excellent staff development and management skills to oversee a team of Group Facilitators and Team Leaders to deliver group work support to low risk victims of domestic abuse and those at risk of domestic abuse. Ideally you will have experience of successfully managing culturally diverse teams.

You will ensure that the wellbeing and safety of participants is central to all processes.

You will be accountable for the performance of your team and ensuring the delivery of group work is consistent and effective. This includes ensuring that Information Management standards are adhered, specifically in relation to compliance with GDPR, Safeguarding and Information Sharing policies and procedures.

This vacancy will close midnight Tuesday 29th December 2020, with interviews expected to take place week commencing 7th January 2021.
