Supporter Care Officer

6 months fixed term contract

Full time or 4 days per week

£28,000 pro rata

Hybrid working, 2 days a week in Chelsea/ Harefield

The Talent Set is delighted to partner with Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity to recruit a Supporter Care Officer on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This exciting and varied new role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporter engagement and strong administrative skills to make a meaningful impact. As a key member of the Community and Events Team, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent service to donors and supporters, ensuring the smooth processing of data to support the charity’s events and fundraising activities. Working within a small, friendly team of three, your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the fundraising inbox, handling phone enquiries, entering data into Raiser’s Edge, and supporting a wide range of fundraising administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to supporter enquiries via email, phone, and post, ensuring a positive and engaging donor experience.
  • Accurately manage and process donation data across various income streams, including online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse), and ensure correct income coding in collaboration with data and finance teams.
  • Provide exceptional supporter care by acknowledging donations promptly, responding to enquiries via inbox and phone, and maintaining a high standard of supporter engagement and communication.
  • Maintain and update the charity’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring accurate data entry and supporter records for donations, fundraising pages, and event participants.
  • Deliver administrative support for fundraising and challenge events, including sending out materials, managing stock of supporter resources, and supporting event logistics as required.
  • Assist with stewardship activities and community fundraising support, including preparing and mailing fundraising packs, setting up new fundraisers, and helping coordinate communications.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a supporter care, customer service, or administrative role, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel), with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Confident using a CRM database, preferably Raiser’s Edge, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
