What You’ll Do:
As our new Philanthropy Lead for the USA, you’ll:

• Develop and implement strategies to cultivate, solicit and steward donors to support the charity.
• Lead on high-net-worth individual relationships in the USA and the strategic management of a donor pipeline.
• Grow our philanthropic income and build strong, long-term relationships with donors.
• Deputise for other philanthropy managers where required and share your experience and ambition with the wider philanthropy team.

The INSPIRE Foundation, a charity whose objective is to promote research into the development of practical systems for people with damage to the spinal cord by the use of the latest advances in electronic, mechanical, and medical technology.

JOB PURPOSE

The Director is involved in every aspect of the running of INSPIRE, which includes raising funding from a variety of sources, formulating a winning strategy to grow INSPIRE, husbanding resources in the most effective and efficient manner and leading a small staff in their support roles.

SCOPE OF THE JOB

As Director, you will have a large amount of freedom to drive change, grow the charity, set the strategic vision going forwards and use your talents and leadership to ensure INSPIRE thrives. You are to ensure the charity has sufficient funds to cover all routine day-to-day expenses, to pay invoices quarterly for current projects and to plan for taking on medical research projects which are vetted by the National Science Committee (NSC) and agreed by the Board of Trustees. You will be actively supported by a Board of Trustees, to whom you report in your role as Director.

You should be qualified to degree level, ideally with an MBA or an equivalent business qualification. Some knowledge of spinal cord injury and its effects on an individual or of disability more broadly would be advantageous, as well as having a proven fundraising background from working in the 3rd Sector. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Financial management or accountancy knowledge

• A high level of written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interact with people from all backgrounds

You will have the overall responsibility for delivering timely data analysis insight of the ASF financial performance against prior years and budget/reforecasts, providing recommendations to facilitate improvements. The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and delivery of the legacy fundraising strategy, creating and implementing targeted acquisition plans to grow legacy income in line with agreed targets.
• Design and execute integrated legacy marketing campaigns, collaborating with Membership, Marketing, Digital, and Resources & Planning teams to optimise messaging and reach across all channels.
• Cultivate and steward a portfolio of legacy supporters, including new prospects and existing donors, delivering best-practice supporter journeys and planning engaging legacy-focused events.
• Oversee legacy programme administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bequests, maintaining high-quality reporting, and supporting continuous improvement through robust evaluation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to segment audiences, identify those most receptive to legacy messaging, and explore creative outreach strategies including awareness campaigns and partnerships.
• Maintain accurate database records and financial tracking, working closely with Finance and the Philanthropy Executive to ensure legacy income is administered and reported in line with agreements and organisational standards.

Person Specification:

• Extensive experience in legacy fundraising and marketing, with a strong track record of securing legacy pledges and successfully managing legacy programmes.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic plans and marketing campaigns, manage budgets effectively, and meet or exceed income targets.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and confidently represent the organisation to supporters and high-profile contacts.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accurate records, experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic relationship fundraiser to lead a step-change in major donor giving at the Trust.

Sustainable Merton, Merton's award winning environmental charity, is recruiting a dynamic individual to oversee our Community Changemakers initiative and deliver grassroots acitivity in Pollards Hill, Mitcham.  If you are passionate about sustainability, volunteering and making a difference in a local community, we would love to hear from you!

This role combines volunteer leadership with project management. The successful candidate will split their time between:
- Project management and delivery of the WeRPollards project (2 days/week), a grassroots local initiative running from September 2025 to September 2026
- Volunteer and operational management (1 day/week), supporting the charity as a whole
You will work closely with Moat Housing to deliver the WeR Pollards Community Changemaker project and also lead the development and implementation of a new volunteering strategy, support colleagues to adopt new volunteer processes,
and oversee our charity policies to support compliance and our organisational growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
WeRPollards project management
1. Group Development and Coordination
● Coordinate and facilitate monthly volunteer meetings at the Pollards Hill Wellbeing Studio.
● Attend the Wellbeing Studio on a weekly basis, attend schools and community pop-up events to increase awareness of and community engagement in the project
● Support volunteers with soft and technical skills development on their path to becoming Community Changemakers.
● Encourage retention and progression of existing volunteers whilst increasing group membership from 15 to 30.
● Liaise with Moat Foundation officer and project tutors to establish a pathway into volunteering and increasing membership of the WeRPollards group
● Work with colleagues at Sustainable Merton to align this grass roots work with their borough wide initiatives such as Merton Garden Streets, Mitcham Community Orchard, Repair Cafes, Preloved Studio and Merton’s Community Fridge.

2. Community Engagement
● In partnership with Pollards Hill Wellbeing Studio team, develop and implement a local engagement strategy to recruit and retain volunteers to become WeRPollards Community Changemakers.
● Design and deliver an induction and training programme for new volunteers.
● In collaboration with the PH Wellbeing Studio team conduct regular listening sessions to identify resident needs, interests and connect volunteers to, or help them develop, relevant community activities.
3. Project and Event Delivery
● Lead the volunteer group to plan and deliver community activities aligned with the 3R’s agenda, that are run out of the Wellbeing Studio, including:
○ Sewing Skills Workshops (Monthly, 10 sessions)
○ Community Gardening Sessions (Min. 5 sessions)
○ Repair Shed Sessions (Monthly, 9 sessions)
○ Street Planting Engagement & Delivery (Min. 3 events)

4. Capacity Building and Progression
● Deliver at least 6 training workshops including SMART goal setting and planning.
● Support residents to lead and take ownership of initiatives and to become Community Changemakers.
● Build a clear, accessible pathway for participation and leadership within the group and studio.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
● Track Key Performance Indicators including:
○ Volunteer numbers, growth and retention (Target: 30 volunteers, 60% retention)
○ Number of volunteer hours contributed
○ Number of accredited or certified training courses completed
○ Number of volunteers progressing into leadership roles
○ Attendance and engagement in all community sessions
● Conduct volunteer satisfaction surveys and gather qualitative feedback.
● Report quarterly on progress to PHCC meetings, outcomes and impact to the Pollards Hill Community Committee.

Volunteer and operational management - Sustainable Merton

● Develop and implement a volunteering strategy covering recruitment, retention, induction, training, and development
● Identify and recruit a cohort of Community Changemakers
● Draft volunteer role descriptions across all projects

The Projects Administrator will support the Projects Manager in identifying, evaluating and overseeing projects in Central Asia including Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have some background in project management, strong organisational skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of suffering Christians through effective grant management

Main duties and responsibilities

· Project Identification and Evaluation

o Focusing on Central Asia. evaluate project applications for alignment with BA's mission, feasibility, risks, issues, and impact. This includes assessing comprehensive project plans, their objectives, timelines and budgets.

o Form part of the disaster response team for Barnabas Aid

• Assist in identifying potential partners and projects that support persecuted and suffering Christians.
• Assist in demographic research on the region.

o Assist in presenting proposals to the Projects & Disbursement sub-committee for their deliberation and decision-making.

· Grant Administration

o Oversee the administration of the grant-making process, from initial proposal evaluation to monitoring and final reporting upon completion of projects.

o Ensure that approved projects comply with BA’s internal policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements in the UK and the partner’s country.

o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of funded projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and budgets.

· Stakeholder Engagement

o Support the Projects Manager in maintaining relationships with project partners and other key stakeholders.

o Communicate regularly with project partners to provide guidance and support during the application process, and implementation stage once proposals are approved.

 · Budget Administration

o Provide support in tracking the region’s budget and expenditures, to ensure financial accountability and transparency.

o Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports and updates for senior management and other stakeholders.

 · Reporting and Documentation

o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including agreements, reports, and correspondence.

o Maintain the projects database for all records related to the region and prepare reports as required.

• Monitor, evaluate, and report on approved projects in the region.
• Schedule meetings, take minutes, and keep records of meeting minutes.
