For over 40 years, Being There, a medium sized charity, has provided practical, emotional and social support to those affected by life limiting illnesses across much of Greater Manchester. The services of the charity are delivered by an enthusiastic cohort of volunteers managed by an established and capable management team.
After steering Being There though the Pandemic and the recent economic impact on charities, our long serving CEO, Karen Mercer, is retiring. We are therefore looking to recruit a new leader for our team.
We are looking for someone who can:
· Understand and navigate the challenges of charity funding in difficult economic circumstances.
· Lead, motivate and develop the management team, administration staff and volunteers to expand the service.
· Raise the profile of the organisation.
· Seek out and develop relationships with similar organisations, client groups, existing and potential funders.

Senior Finance Manager | £60,000 - £64,600 | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based
For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. Main Duties:

The Role
As a Project Lead for the ASB team you will be:
- Managing a small team of ASB caseworkers including performance management, monitoring and support

About the Role
The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Data and IT team. The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned IT projects within the charity. You'll be responsible for managing the project team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards. The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Life. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of existing supporters as well as attaining new supporters.

About Pancreatic Cancer Action:
Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) was founded in 2010 by a rare survivor of the disease. We are a small, creative and passionate team committed to improving early diagnosis and saving lives. In August 2020, Pancreatic Cancer Action merged with Pancreatic Cancer Scotland making our team stronger than ever.
Pancreatic cancer has only a 7% survival rate and this figure has not improved significantly for over 50 years. Despite it being the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK, pancreatic cancer receives only 3% of overall research funding.
With a strong focus on early diagnosis, it is Pancreatic Cancer Action’s aim to improve survival rates through raising awareness, medical education, improved patient information and by funding research specifically into the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Simply put, we want more people diagnosed in time for surgery, currently the only potential for a cure.

- Develop and grow the annual programme of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and Great North Run.
