A Senior Sous Chef position is needed to assist the Executive head chef in the everyday running and organising of the kitchen and to line manage assistant chefs and kitchen porters. Menu planning, food ordering, stock control, and event delivery.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that all the Lambeth Palace kitchen team are fully trained in the food safety management systems and procedures, implemented by the Executive Head Chef.

About the role
The Operations Coordinator will play an important role in the smooth running of the day centre and night shelter. Key responsibilities:
Volunteers

The Fleet Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of FareShare South West’s fleet, including vans, HGVs, forklifts, and manual handling equipment. This role ensures all vehicles, equipment, and drivers operate to the highest standards of safety, legal compliance, and operational effectiveness.
The Fleet Manager supports the wider operations and volunteer driving teams (including 2X HGV Drivers) through training, onboarding, and best practice-practice guidance. Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Operations and Maintenance

With the support of our National Schools & Franchise Manager you will manage local relationships with schools, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable our meals to happen each week.
You will have experience of working with primary school-aged children or families, in school or other setting. You will also have experience in hospitality or food businesses. You will use your excellent communication skills to manage volunteers and ensure the safe and effective running of our meals and positive relationships with school families.
There will be frequent travel within London, with evening work required. Our school community meals are accessible by public transport.

Background
UKHarvest is a food waste and food education charity supporting vulnerable people experiencing food insecurity in the community, though a number of impactful and groundbreaking projects. Our mission is to reduce food waste and increase food security. Our education programmes (NOURISHed), Community Food Hubs, Grub Clubs and Community Grub Clubs are designed to overcome social barriers and food insecurity by connecting people through food.
We operate two community food hubs that deliver hot meals and community food education and engagement; Nourish Hub in London and Nourish Hub Cafe in Bognor Regis. Both spaces fulfil our mission to create warm, welcoming community spaces where people can regain their independence and confidence through the medium of food. Our projects are supported by our food rescue operation that collects quality surplus food and redistributes it through projects in the community.
Purpose of the Role
The Charity founder and CEO is retiring from her post and in this period, UKHarvest requires an interim Chief Operating Officer. This COO will provide strong, calm and effective operational leadership during a period of transition, ensuring continuity, stability and confidence across the organisation.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role focusing on day-to-day operational delivery, financial discipline, staff reassurance whilst maintaining confidence among funders, partners and stakeholders, while ensuring UKHarvest continues to deliver impact against its strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Continuity
- Lead the organisation’s day-to-day operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with our agreed strategy.
- Maintain operational focus and performance during a period of leadership change.
