In our recent report- Time to Act: A New Review of Kidney Health Inequalities, one of the urgent priorities highlighted the need for additional services and new approaches for high-risk and underserved group to reduce the risk of developing kidney disease or prevent kidney disease progressing in those that have it.

To help achieve this we are significantly expanding our peer educator initiative, an evidence-based and multi award winning model to engage and reach underserved communities, support health awareness and literacy, and instigate behavioural change; delivered by trusted, trained peer educators through attendance at events and community spaces. We aim to scale up the roll out and adoption of peer educators within the care pathway across the UK, with a particular focus on improving early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease and associated conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
 
This post will play a significant role in the growth of the peer education programme and the initial focus of the role will be to:
 
• Coordinate the development and delivery of the Peterborough peer educator project
• Support the development and delivery of the UK wide peer educator programme

Purpose of the job 

 In UK Youth’s Impact department, we find, create and use evidence to respond to the needs and preferences of young people and the professionals who support them.  Reporting to the Evaluation & Learning Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a portfolio of research and evaluation projects. There will be opportunities to lead on fieldwork, data analysis, reporting and insight sharing with strategic guidance and hands-on support from other members of the team.

We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. Job Purpose 

To support Habitat GB’s vision of a decent home for everyone, the organisation has recently completed a strategic review, resulting in a new National Strategy and an organisational restructure, to ensure the organisation is able to deliver the Strategy impactfully, efficiently and effectively.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Programme Delivery works to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, including engaging in organisational transformation, within the framework of a values-led approach to people and culture approach.

Strategic development and programme delivery: 

• Accountable for co-leadership (with the Director of Retail) of the strategic leadership, development and performance of Habitat GB’s Strategic Goal: ‘Develop, pursue and share innovative solutions to increase access to decent, safe, affordable homes for communities across Great Britain’.

The National Lottery funded Meddwl Ymlaen Mind Our Future project is led by The Venture on behalf of the North East Wales partnership. The aim is to empower young people aged 11 to 24 to shape mental health services across Wrexham and Flintshire. The Senior Youth Engagement Officer will lead the youth engagement and co production elements of the project. The Organisation

Afghanaid is a British humanitarian and development organisation. For over forty years, our dedicated personnel have worked with millions of families in some of the poorest and most remote communities in Afghanistan. About the service

This exciting partnership provides specialist advocacy for women whose experience of violence (VAWG) intersects with multiple and severe disadvantage. We work with women who are frequently excluded from mainstream services and/or find it hard to engage with support which increases their vulnerability and risk.  Our assertive outreach approach, working across eight London boroughs, enables women to access support, increase their self-esteem, reduce their risk and make safe choices.

About the role

Solace Women’s Aid is delighted to be the lead partner for this innovative cross-borough project, funded by MOPAC. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Psychologist to use their knowledge and skills in psychological theory and practice to support non-clinical advocates working with women experiencing VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage.

About you

You will have experience working as a clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist. Your role will include fostering trauma-informed practice in the project, providing clinical support to non-clinical advocates through conducting ongoing Reflective Practice and clinical supervision.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into Care.
