Action Foundation was established in 2005 to assist asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Tyne and Wear. We aim to empower refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants to live independently through a commitment to supporting them to achieve self-sufficiency and integration into the community.

The Language and Learning service has developed and enhanced its support towards better integration to include three streams of support which include employability workshops and advice, digital skills courses alongside non-accredited ESOL classes. We are looking for a full-time project manager to lead our staff and volunteer teams in the delivery of these streams of support.

You will line manage the Project Officer(s) responsible for different aspect of the service work and support them with the delivery of in-person classes and where required any online classes. You will also play an important role at a strategic level in developing partnerships and networks with formal and informal providers of ESOL, employability and digital skills to promote and enhance the service.

The Head of Philanthropy will lead the philanthropy team to maximise philanthropic support for the charity with a focus on research, education and innovation and driving long-term growth from key income streams. You will contribute fully as a senior member of the charity's fundraising team, leading and motivating the philanthropy team of 11.  You will also contribute fully as a member of the charity's management group.

The selected candidate will have proven successful major gifts fundraising with a track record in initiating new relationships, securing gifts at the six and seven figure level. You will have experience working in organisations with multiple stakeholders and will have demonstrable experience of preparing and managing annual plans, budgets, and targets. You will be joining our growing national advocacy team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Finance Analyst to join a small team working in our Financial Planning & Analysis unit. The team work together to provide financial support and advice across a wide portfolio of programmes with a variety of funding sources.

As Senior Finance Analyst you will help support the financial management of projects, programmes and donor restricted funds. This will involve formulating and setting budgets, preparing financial reports and forecasts, and managing donor financial audit processes. You will challenge and help budget holders deliver realistic budgets and forecasts for cost centres and projects as well as document reasoning and underlying assumptions for stakeholders. You will clarify any variances too. We will look to you to provide regular financial information across the portfolio, including tracking spending across programme workstreams and cost centres, maintaining fund reporting schedules and reporting forex movements across the portfolio. You will also support a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practice and developing and streamlining processes. Important will be the ability to assist with capability building across our Network partners as well as deputise for the Head of Programmes Finance where needed.

We’re looking for someone with:

· Accountancy experience & ideally part or fully qualified.

· Experience of preparing donor bids & reports, knowledge of donor rules and regulations for high-compliance donors would be an advantage.

· Significant experience of providing financial reports & information to non-finance staff & supporting them in the management of budgets.

· Experience of delivering against monthly recurring deadlines.

· Good knowledge of finance applications (preferably Business Central).

· Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Mind in Brighton and Hove empowers and supports people who have lived experience of mental health issues in Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex.

We are seeking to recruit additional Employment Advisors to join our well established and supportive team, providing advice and information, skills-based interventions, and employment support to people experiencing mental health issues. As an Employment Advisor your role will involve working alongside people to help them achieve their employment goals whether that is to remain in, return to or find work.

The role is varied and involves managing a busy caseload as well as undertaking liaison work with employers and other external partners, so experience and a commitment to partnership working is required. The service also offers workplace wellbeing and recruitment focused workshops offering a chance for people to meet together creatively and share experiences. The successful candidate will understand mental health, employment issues and the barriers people may face in the workplace. Skills in providing advice and information, being able to problem solve creatively and a track record of successfully engaging and working with people experiencing mental health issues are essential.

The Employment Advice Service provides employment support for people accessing NHS Talking Therapies via the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service. The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service is a primary care mental health service for people of all ages in the city.

As well as having oversight of this exciting programme, the Racial Justice Programme Lead  will engage with lay and ordained leaders across their organisation to ensure that they prioritise their work on racial justice and anti-racism. They will work with others to enable them to become a diocese which fully welcomes, support and embraces people from global majority heritage backgrounds and ensure that creative and inspiring approaches to achieving racial justice from across the diocese and the wider Church are promoted and built on.
