The Role
As Shop Manager at our new shop in Sheffield, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in setting up our new shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term.
You will lead a team of volunteers to raise funds to invest in achieving the charity’s goal to save lives in Yorkshire. Reporting to the Retail Area Manager, you will portray the charity as a professional, credible brand which acts with integrity and provide excellent customer service, ensuring volunteers, donors and customers know how their contribution is helping the people of Yorkshire.
Specifically, you will:

Manage and be accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

Be responsible for ensuring the shop is presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays.

Be responsible for attracting and recruiting a team of new volunteers, ensuring they are well trained and take every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment.

Be responsible for ongoing volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date.

Line manage the Deputy Shop Manager, working together to ensure there is management cover and sufficient volunteers to operate all trading hours.

Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

Be responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.

Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.

Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To ideally be educated to A-level or equivalent.

To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

To have previous retail experience in the charity sector or commercial sector is desirable.

The Senior Finance Officer role is key to coordinating the day-to-day financial functions of Watts Gallery Trust and supporting the Head of Finance and Resources in the effective and efficient management of Watts Gallery Trusts finances. We are looking for someone with experience of working in a finance function delivering comprehensive financial management, ideally within a charitable organisation. Duties include:
Financial management
·Deliver an effective and comprehensive financial management service to watts Gallery Limited to include:
o Assisting the Head of Finance in preparing financial forecasts to support financial planning
o Assisting Head of Finance in implementing financial policies and procedures as appropriate
o Ensuring the efficient maintenance of the financial records of Watts Gallery and Watts Gallery Trading Ltd.
o Assist the Head of Finance to produce timely, accurate and relevant monthly management accounts information for Watts Gallery Ltd and Watts Gallery Trading Ltd.
o Assist the Head of Finance in preparing the annual budget. Work with budget holders to review performance against budget and monitor the overall organisations finances to ensure we are operating within the agreed budget
o Assist with production of weekly trading data.
o With the Head of Finance, assist with the preparation of the year end statutory accounts and the audit file.
o Ensure that all accounting records are clear, transparent, and properly kept.
o Ensure all year-end journals, and audit schedules are prepared timely and in accordance with the auditor’s requirements.
Financial and Administrative operational duties:
· Ensure that day to day banking and finance administration duties are carried out:
o Monthly Payroll processing including submission to HMRC and NEST Pension
o Administering the NEST pension scheme
o Statutory returns, including surveys, funding monitoring and reporting
o Responsible for preparing quarterly VAT returns
o Coordinate Gift Aid reclaims
o Liaise with the Development team to develop systems and processes to improve gift aid claim procedures.
o Control of central purchasing
o Ensuring daily, month end, quarter end and year end routines are carried out.
o Reconcile the control accounts, inter-company accounts and conduct regular reviews of nominal ledgers, aged debtors and aged creditors.
o In conjunction with the Head of Finance help improve systems and controls surrounding all aspects of Watts Gallery’s financial management.
o Liaise with Retail and Admissions Manager to ensure cashing up processes are accurate, timely and monitored regularly.
o Be a source of technical advice and guidance on financial aspects of Watts Gallery’s activities.
o Contribute to the organisation’s strategic and operational business planning.
o Assist with financial aspects of grant applications.
o Various ad hoc projects to support the overall development of the finance function.
Staff management
o Monitor progress of finance staff vis a vis set targets
o To support the Head of Finance with development of finance staff to meet organisational objectives
o Day to day coordination of the Finance Team: overseeing accurate and timely processing of the sales and purchase ledgers, importing till data into Sage, cash and banking, administration of direct debits, credit card reconciliations, administering petty cash system and delivering excellent customer service to Watts Gallery’s internal and external customers.

We’re a Founder-led charity working to solve learn-to-swim for disabled children - and we aim to do that in the next ten years.
We’ve grown our impact 5x in the past three years and now raise over £1m in unrestricted income annually through our swim events. The role

We’re looking for a strategic, creative Head of Fundraising to lead our next phase of growth.
Your first focus will be stewarding our 3,000 fundraisers - overseeing segmented email journeys, managing a £40k prizing fund, and improving supporter care through deeper, more personal touchpoints. That might mean calls, events, or just finding ways to help people feel more connected to their impact.
Beyond that, you'll help us develop and test new income streams - from matched giving and regular giving, to sponsorships, repeat fundraising, and post-event conversion. You'll also play a key role in evolving our Challenge Events portfolio across in-person, virtual, and blended formats.
This role requires someone with a strong track record in fundraising growth, a test-and-learn mindset, and the ambition to build something big.

- Strategy Development and Implementation

Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior fundraising role.
- Proven experience working on fundraising events and event fundraising.

At Jessie May, we provide specialist nursing care, at home, for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We support parents, siblings and wider family members in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and Wiltshire.
Through life and death, bereavement, and grief, we are here for families for as long as they need us - support for weeks, months, and years.

Purpose of Post
The Community Fundraiser will lead on efforts to develop and grow community fundraising initiatives and engage with schools, community groups, faith groups, and individuals.

Main Responsibilities
Community Fundraising and Engagement
- Coordinate the delivery of community fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and events, ensuring high levels of participation and engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, faith groups, and individuals, encouraging their ongoing involvement and support
- Act as the main point of contact for community fundraisers, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them succeed in their fundraising efforts

Volunteer Fundraising Support
- Recruit, train, and support a network of volunteer fundraisers to support community fundraising activities.
Relationship Management and Stewardship
- Lead on the development and delivery of stewardship plans for community supporters, ensuring their efforts are recognised and celebrated.
- Maintain accurate records of community supporters and events in the CRM system, tracking engagement and financial contributions.

Terms & Conditions and Employee Benefits
Conditions, including but not limited to the following:
- Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months.
- Salary: £28,840 - £32,917 per annum, pro-rata depending on experience. Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April.
- Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme. You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out. The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.
- Death in Service Provision (once successfully passed probation)

Head of Finance

The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Modern Art Oxford and is responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the charity, acting as Company Secretary.
The role is supported by the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.
Responsibilities
Finance
- To work closely with the Director on the preparation of the business plan and to take a leading role within SMT on monitoring and reporting to ensure its successful delivery.
- To lead on budgeting processes including three- to five-year plans, detailed annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and in-year re-forecasts.
- To be responsible for reporting on the overall financial position of the organisation, including the statutory accounts, management accounts and reports to budget-holders, ensuring that budgets are adhered to, that cash flow is managed, that effective cost control mechanisms are in place, that revenue is maximised and that there is timely and accurate financial reporting to SMT and the Board of Trustees.
- To ensure that best practice, statutory and organisational requirements are met in the operation of financial controls, the management of funds, charity accounting, Endowments Funds and investments, and taxation.
- To ensure the safety and security of the organisation’s financial assets.
- To prepare and submit the annual Museums & Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief (MGETR) submission, Gift Aid and all other tax rebates.
- To liaise with the external auditors for the annual audit of the statutory accounts and management of the pensions and other professional financial services as required, being the main contact in the organisation for the bank, auditors and pension providers.

IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) is a national charity providing free and independent legally-based information, advice, and casework support to help children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the education they are entitled to by law. We also deliver training to parents, carers, and professionals to improve understanding of the SEND legal framework.
With the Government expected to publish a White Paper that could significantly alter the SEND legal landscape, IPSEA is undertaking two major campaigns: one to protect existing legal rights, and another to make SEN Support a legal requirement.
IPSEA is co-leading the Save Our Children’s Rights (SOCR) campaign alongside Special Needs Jungle, Learning Disability Today, SEND National Crisis, SOS!SEN, SEND Rights Alliance and others committed to defending children's rights. This campaign was launched in response to reports that the government is considering reforms that could weaken the legal rights of children and young people with SEND; particularly the right to an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan in mainstream schools. It calls on the Government to retain the current legal framework, ensure the SEND system is properly funded and accountable, and avoid any rollback of statutory protections.
In parallel, IPSEA is working in partnership with the charity Contact to advocate for placing SEN Support on a statutory footing. Currently, schools have limited legal obligations to support pupils with SEN who do not have an EHC plan.
This campaign seeks to establish stronger, enforceable duties on schools to provide SEN support, alongside increased investment, so that more children can have their needs met without requiring an EHC plan
Consequently, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Campaigns Manager to coordinate this work - working with our IPSEA teams, amplifying our voice, and supporting our fundraising efforts during this critical period. The Campaigns Manager will play a key role in driving forward this initiative, engaging stakeholders, mobilising public support, and influencing policy outcomes.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll need substantial experience in planning and delivering successful high-profile campaigns, managing campaign budgets and evaluating impact. With strong project management skills, you’ll be able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. You’ll also have an in-depth understanding of public affairs, media relations and/or fundraising campaigns in the charity or not-for-profit sector. Corporate Partnerships Manager
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, or pro-rata (depending on experience)
Location: Hybrid working – We ask our colleagues to be in the Youth Zone for at least 60% of their working week
Contract: Permanent contract – 40 hours per week. We are open to either 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE contracts. Hours worked are generally flexible and certainly you are not tied to “9-5”.

Main Purpose
This post will play a leading role in Legacy’s Fundraising Team, developing our corporate fundraising capabilities and growing this income stream with a six-figure sum annual fundraising target.
The Role
Using your skills, you will develop and deliver our corporate fundraising strategy, raising new business income whilst stewarding our current corporate partnerships. You will actively drive forward new ways in which corporates can engage with Legacy and raise additional funds including but not limited to, challenge events, in-aid-of events, employee fundraising and corporate team days.
This is an excellent role for an experienced Fundraiser looking to take the next step in their career with the opportunity to pilot new ideas and manage key relationships.
As well as raising vital funds, you will help raise awareness that Legacy is a charity within the local community. Through creating successful fundraising campaigns and building strong and meaningful relationship with local businesses in Croydon, you will make a key contribution to ensuring young people have a safe, affordable and inspiring place to go in their leisure time.
About Legacy Youth Zone
Croydon Youth Zone, named as Legacy by young people, was opened in September 2019. The Youth Zone is an independent Charity, but we are proud to be part of the growing OnSide Network whereby we have adopted a set of principles that guide our work with young people.
Our universal offer is focussed around a state-of-the-art, multimillion pound facility that is purpose built and remains dedicated to young people. We work with young people aged from 8 – 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) and offer an array of activities for young people to get involved in. We pride ourselves on being open when young people need us the most, during evenings and weekends, and whenever schools are closed.
Since opening, the Youth Zone has had nearly 16,000 young people sign up as members of which around 60% are male and 40% are female. At times during our opening months 1,400 young people were visiting the Youth Zone every week, making it a go to destination for Croydon’s next generation.
Person Specification
Essential Experience:
- Proven corporate fundraising experience.
- Experience of building relationships and partnerships with individuals, businesses and other groups that have resulted in sustainable income.
- Experience of planning and managing events including monitoring budgets and expenditure.
- Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking fundraising activity.
- Experience of working closely with Trustees (or other senior volunteers) on fundraising.
- Ability to make face-to-face approaches for funding from corporate donors and to negotiate the ask.
- Outgoing, personable, confident and results driven individual.
Skills, Knowledge & Aptitude:
- Good numeracy skills and ability to analyse and report on your own financial performance.
- Great at building and developing relationships that are meaningful and long lasting.
- Knowledge of how to optimise fundraising messaging to raise awareness among different stakeholders and generate return on investment.
- Outstanding communication skills, written, verbal and presentational, to a range of audiences (prospective and existing donors, Trustees, colleagues etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, to enable building positive personal and organisational relationships and convey Unitas’ work with confidence and credibility.
- Ability to think conceptually and creatively, to develop profitable fundraising products and proposals for supporters.
- Strong organisational skills, with a structured and methodical approach to work, a clear focus on results, and an ability to work to multiple deadlines.
- IT literate and basic competence with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Reporting into the Chair of Trustees, the CEO will ensure that the values of the charity are upheld and lead the charity. The CEO will have overall responsibility for the management and administration of the Charity within the strategic, policy and accountability frameworks approved by the Board of Trustees. Together with the Chair, you will enable the Board of Trustees to fulfil its duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of the Charity. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping young people with disabilities to prosper and succeed.
We are an innovative, enterprising, local Essex based charity that delivers support where needed most – in the heart of the community. This includes weekly youth clubs and inclusive social and leisure activities all year round for children and young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. We also provide school holiday day trips and occassionbal residentials We enable our beneficairies to have a social life with their peers and give them opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities, supported by our experienced staff and volunteers.
The successful candidate will have drive, ambition, and have a proven record of networking and fundraising in the charity sector. You will be capable of working collaboratively with local business leaders, other charitable organisations, local authorities, sponsors and benefactors. The CEO will be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan as well as oversight of general organisational operations such as finance, HR, bid-writing etc. Professional development is encouraged with support for learning opportunities as they arise.
