We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Brighton - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. But we don’t want to stop there.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

Role Description
The Programmes Executive plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme across the school year. They will support the design and delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact within the project timeline.
The Programmes Executive will report to the Programmes Manager, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship management

Provide ongoing support to schools throughout their time on the programme, building strong working relationships with participating schools.

Support communication with all schools, providing a point of contact for the coordinator and lead teacher in each school.

Support monitoring and evaluation through creation of surveys, ensuring completion of baseline and end of year surveys, and analysis of data submitted (working with our Evaluation Manager).

Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of our termly newsletter, highlighting school achievements, amplifying youth voices, and inspiring action across our network.

Provide timely responses to school queries, manage a shared inbox and alert the Programmes Manager of any potential risks.

Proactively seek feedback from teachers and young people on our programmes

Ensure opportunities for schools to engage in at least two one-on-one meetings with our team during the school year.
Community management

Celebrate and share examples of best practice and impactful social action projects amongst our community of schools.

Deliver training and webinars for schools.

Manage and grow engagement with school groups through our social media platforms, fostering a sense of community and promoting active participation.

Grow our movement - supporting the recruitment of future cohorts by promoting the Bite Back in Schools programme, distributing recruitment comms, holding set up calls with interested schools, and guiding schools through the application and enrolment process, working closely with the Programmes Manager on the design of these processes.
Programme delivery

Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include elements including meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns.

Schedule and deliver assemblies with schools partaking in the programme.

Ensure schools submit invoices on time as part of their grant funding, providing support where needed and coordinating with the finance team to ensure prompt processing.

Book and arrange assemblies, coordinating between schools and our Bite Back Ambassadors.

Support the School Ambassadors with travel logistics as they deliver assemblies in schools across England and Scotland.

Maintain and regularly update programme management software and associated data to ensure accurate and up to date information for all participating schools.

Ensure successful end-to-end support for the 100+ schools participating in the programme throughout the next school year.
Project support

Provide support to Programme Manager in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.

Assist in the delivery of the Local Authority programme, including traveling as needed to facilitate workshops and provide support to the team’s operational requirements.

Provide support for the primary school pilot programme and contribute to the creation and development of engaging resources tailored for primary school use.

Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior team members.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and passionate Head of Public Fundraising to lead the mass fundraising team to achieve sustainable income growth over the coming years. Leukaemia UK and You
We have recently invested in growing our fundraising team so that we can fund more life-changing research to increase our understanding of leukemia as a disease, and accelerate the development of kinder, more effective treatments. This includes investment to grow the public fundraising team, develop new fundraising products, recruit new supporters, and increase legacy giving through targeted campaigns.
We are also in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in creating an ambitious new plan to develop a diverse and sustainable mass fundraising portfolio, covering the key areas of donor acquisition, retention, and growth, with a focus on maximising our Challenge and Community events portfolio, and increasing Legacy, In Memory and Regular giving. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of products to grow voluntary income, whilst leading a newly expanded and ambitious team. And you will help shape our data strategy, working with the Head of Digital and other colleagues across the organisation to develop our digital fundraising strategy; embed usage of our CRM and ensure GDPR compliance.

Requirements - Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of strategic leadership and oversight of a mass fundraising product portfolio.
- Proven experience of managing an engaging Community and Challenge Events fundraising portfolio.
- Proven experience of driving Legacy and In Memory giving to create a robust long-term pipeline. Experience of successfully developing and implementing legacy marketing strategies.
- Proven experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multichannel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter recruitment channels.
- Experience of fully integrating a CRM database as a tool in the day-to-day work and running of a charity.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a high performing team, focussing on creating a culture where people thrive as individuals and can be their best selves.
- Experience of managing multi-channel media campaigns by utilising print and digital channels including social media and email.
- Good experience of building effective relationships with internal and external partners, including creative freelancers, media and direct marketing agencies.
- Experience of working with, negotiating with, and managing outputs of external agencies and internal departments, including contractual obligations.
- Strong project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.
- Experience of setting and managing annual budgets, monitoring, and reconciling results and financial performance in income and expenditure. Providing associated narratives and monthly reforecasts.
- Proven experience of driving effective stewardship programmes to maximising supporter experience.
Requirements - Knowledge
- Excellent specialist knowledge of the principals and methods of Public Fundraising, including Challenge Events, Community, Legacy, In Memory and Individual Giving.
- Understanding of the effective development and use of supporter contact strategies, turning analysis and insight into high performance activity.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current digital fundraising trends, including social media marketing.
- High Level knowledge of Salesforce CRM databases and how best to utilise to steward supporters.
- Knowledge and experience of marketing processes and techniques across varied channels.
- High Level knowledge of legacy administration.
- High Level knowledge and understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, GDPR, PECR, data protection and other relevant fundraising regulation.
Role specifics & Benefits
- Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday
- Location: We are very flexible! Our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London office unless it’s a role requirement to be in more frequently. Typically, we would expect the role holder to be in the office once a week, and certain roles within the team have this as a minimum requirement.

About Quest for Learning
Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. Some face health inequalities, live in areas affected by crime, or have recently arrived in the UK as refugees or asylum seekers.

Role Purpose
This is a hands-on and outward-facing role for a confident, capable fundraiser ready to lead Quest for Learning’s income generation efforts. As our sole dedicated fundraiser, you’ll take ownership of securing income across a broad mix of streams - including trusts and foundations, community fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.

The Role

The Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine (FFLM) was founded in 2005 and is an
established international membership organisation and charity committed to the
development and maintenance of the highest possible standards in forensic and legal
medicine.
The specialty covers professionals working in the following disciplines: forensic medical
practitioners (forensic physicians, forensic pathologists, forensic psychiatrists, forensic
odontologists); medico-legal and dentolegal advisers; clinicians working in secure and
detained settings and medically and legally qualified coroners.
Introduction
The FFLM is tendering for accountancy services. We are a registered Charity (1119599).
FFLM prepares its accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting
and Reporting by Charities Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in
the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).
Bidders must demonstrate experience in preparing and advising on accounts compliant
with this framework.
Our financial year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Our annual turnover is between
£800,000 and £1.1M and an overview of our finances is available in our 2024 financial
report.
We employ a Finance and Membership Manager and a Finance Administrator to manage
our day-to-day income and expenditure. We are tendering for an accountant to provide
support to our Finance Team and help us to meet our legal obligations regarding financial
matters.
As our turnover passed £1M, we are now subject to annual independent audit, which is
currently carried out by MHA. We will require an accountant to support the FFLM in
preparing accounts and other documents for this purpose.
We are a small organisation, with 4.7 FTE staff members and support an organisation
funded by the Home office, the Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) which has 3.9
FTE staff.
IFAS is a Home Office funded initiative which leads national work on the recognition,
response, and prevention of non-fatal strangulation and suffocation. It functions as an
internal programme of the FFLM, operating under its governance and financial
management structures. All accounting, reporting, and compliance responsibilities for IFAS
are handled within the broader framework of the FFLM.
Our staff work entirely remotely, and we do not maintain any office space. Due to our size,
we need our accountant to provide proactive advice and support, be readily available and
provide excellent customer service.
