Trusts Fundraiser
Location: Remote – Homebased
Contract: Part Time - 25 hours per week | Permanent
Salary: £29,656.01 - £31,134.23 (Full Time Equivalent)
Deafblind UK has championed people with dual sensory loss since 1928, helping them to overcome the unique set of challenges they face. We support the rights and interests of deafblind people of all ages, in the belief that they deserve the opportunity to live their lives to the fullest, retain their independence, and be included in their local communities. Wellbeing, emotional and practical support forms the cornerstone of our support services. These services are entirely ‘bespoke’, recognising the uniqueness of every individual, and they are based very firmly on our fundamental belief that disability does not mean inability.

What you’ll be doing
You will produce excellent and compelling funding applications, based on thorough research. You will liaise with colleagues to help construct applications. Once funding is secured, you will steward your portfolio of funders to ensure that they are well informed about our work and inclined to provide us with further support. You will ensure that records are accurately maintained on our CRM system.
You will bring to the role:
- Proven experience in Trusts Fundraising
- Demonstrable evidence of first-class writing skills, with the capacity to translate complex subject matter into a compelling, and easily understood case for support
- Good research skills, with the ability to match the organisation’s projects and strands of work with funders’ priorities
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to meet multiple deadlines
- Good admin skills, with a good eye for detail, and a commitment to 100% accuracy

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic fundraiser to join our team in Bath and North East Somerset - driving fundraising and community engagement to increase support for CHSW’s vital work with children and families.
Children’s Hospice South West is a well-established and successful charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families in the South West. We aim to recruit passionate, friendly and enthusiastic staff who are motivated to really make a difference to the lives of the children and families who visit us.
- Area Fundraiser - Bath and North East Somerset (BANES)
- £34,133 - £40,075 per annum
- Dual based (Charlton Farm and home) with regular travel across the BANES area
- 30 - 37 hours per week (with regular weekend and evening work) Full time or 0.8 FTE considered
Join our busy team in a role where you can bring your enthusiasm and drive to develop income, build relationships, grow event support and initiate opportunities across the community.
An engaging and inspiring communicator, you will raise significant awareness of Children's Hospice South West by achieving demanding speaking engagement and other non-financial and financial targets. Leading volunteer management within the area, excellent organisational skills and proven success in a relevant role such as fundraising or sales will be a huge advantage.
This interesting and varied role has a requirement to work during evenings and at weekends and at different locations across the South West and the UK at times. Work will be undertaken from home, Charlton Farm hospice (Wraxall on the southern edges of Bristol) and across the community. A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement.
