The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 750 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. The Brent Centre is also an important Research Centre on Adolescent Breakdown and Adolescent Psychotherapy.

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. To build on our track record, we are now looking to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward key relationships.

In this exciting new role, you will play a key part in growing and sustaining our income from trusts and foundations. Your responsibilities will include identifying funding opportunities and potential grant-makers, designing and developing compelling funding proposals, promoting these opportunities, and managing relationships with supporters throughout the entire funding cycle.

We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation, and experience to be able to make an instant and vital impact on the organisation; someone who can understand the big picture, has good attention to detail and can make things happen. The successful candidate is expected to be a fundraiser with at least two years of experience in identifying trust and foundation prospects and writing proposals, has a track record of success in securing funds and stewardship with trusts and foundations. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.

About The Role
Dementia affects every community, and meaningful change happens when people feel connected to a cause and empowered to support it.
At Alzheimer’s Society, fundraising plays a vital role in making our work possible. From local community events to corporate partnerships and individual giving, every relationship helps us continue supporting people affected by dementia.
As Regional Fundraiser for Surrey, you will help build and strengthen those relationships. You will work across your local area to engage supporters, develop new opportunities and ensure people feel confident and valued in the difference they are making.
You will be part of a collaborative fundraising team, working closely with colleagues across the region. The role combines relationship building, planning and delivery, with a strong focus on community presence and long-term engagement.
What you’ll do
You will help grow sustainable fundraising across Surrey by building strong, trusted relationships and supporting people to get involved in ways that work for them.
Your work will include both proactive relationship building and ongoing stewardship. Some days will focus on meeting supporters and exploring new opportunities, while others will involve planning, coordination and reviewing progress with colleagues.
You will also play a visible role in your local area, representing Alzheimer’s Society at community events and helping people understand the impact of their support.
You can expect to:

- Develop and deliver fundraising activity across Surrey, working towards agreed income and engagement goals with support and guidance
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, community groups and individual supporters, ensuring they feel valued and connected to impact
- Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities through networking, conversation and community engagement
- Create accessible and engaging ways for people to get involved in fundraising, adapting your approach to different audiences
- Work closely with colleagues and volunteers across teams to deliver joined up activity and shared goals
- Monitor activity and income performance, using insight to support planning and decision making
- Represent Alzheimer’s Society at events and in community settings, including occasional evenings and weekends

This role involves travel across Surrey and occasionally wider areas in the region. Some evening and weekend work will be required, usually linked to events and community activity, and this will be planned in advance wherever possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow community support for Chipping Barnet Foodbank and strengthen the relationships that make our work possible.

We are looking for a warm, proactive, community-focused fundraiser who enjoys building relationships and bringing people together around a shared cause. You’ll work with local businesses, schools, faith groups, community organisations, and individual supporters to help raise vital funds and grow long-term support for the foodbank.

This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape and develop fundraising at the foodbank. Alongside community fundraising and supporter engagement, you’ll help deliver key campaigns such as our Christmas Appeal and contribute to wider fundraising activity where needed.

Chipping Barnet Foodbank provides emergency food and support to people facing hardship across the London Borough of Barnet. But our work goes beyond food. We also help people access advice and support that can improve their situation and reduce the need for crisis support in the future. Our vision is a society where foodbanks are no longer needed.

The Role
Position: Community Fundraiser
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part-time or compressed hours can be considered)

Travel: To support with events and volunteers, this role requires regular travel. 

You'll raise awareness of Canine Partners in the South of England and maximise income from diverse community sources. A proactive approach is key to showcasing our work and charitable goals.

• Focus on both stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones, ensuring an exceptional donor experience throughout
• Act as the entry point for long term supporters and be responsible for the visible presence in the community

About You

• Proven experience of effectively managing relationships with volunteers, supporters, and/or external stakeholders/audiences
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
• Demonstrable experience in community fundraising and/or events management
• Ability to manage a varied workload and take initiative to prioritise
• Proven record of securing, growing or maintaining income, funding, contracts, partnerships or comparable resources 
• Fundraising experience could be beneficial but not essential
• Physical ability to lift bulky and heavy equipment, to stand for long periods and to travel as required for the role

Terms

The role is a full-time (five days per week) on an 18-month fixed-term. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home. The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.

Working closely with the Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in increasing income from trusts and foundations by developing and managing a strong pipeline of funders, securing new grants, and building long-term relationships that lead to increased and multi-year support. You will research and prepare compelling applications to both new and existing funders, alongside producing timely, engaging reports that clearly demonstrate impact.

This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with a passion for writing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional cultivation, stewardship and relationship management of trusts and foundations aligned with our mission.

Your work will directly support hospice at home care, specialist play services, and meaningful family days out for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions – making a tangible difference to families during the most difficult of times.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week working from home – applicants must live within Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire (or surrounding counties)

Key requirements:

• Work with the Head of Trusts & Foundations to agreed income targets and growth.
