It is an exciting time to be joining the charity - our new strategy, ‘Acting for Impact’, has a bold ambition to achieve meaningful change for the professional performing arts community - to help more people, in more ways - the Head of Fundraising will be central to achieving that.
This full-time role is based at our office in central London a minimum of three days per week, with some flexible working. The salary is within the range of £42,000 to £48,000, dependent on experience. Fundraising at BCYP
BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. We are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Legacy Administrator to provide administrative support within the Individual Giving and Gifts in Wills team and ensure all daily tasks and objectives are met in collaboration with the Fundraising Administrator.
This is an exciting role in our Fundraising team that will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the legacy administration, and for providing monthly legacy income forecasting reports. You will also support the Individual Giving & Gifts in Wills Manager in the implementation of the legacy marketing strategy, lead in the management of the charity database and lead in the processing of recording and thanking supporters for their donations. In addition to this, you will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all fundraising income is coded correctly and that regular Gift Aid payment runs are executed.

About the role
As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Community Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.
Main duties
- Help deliver the teams’ existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.
- Act as an ambassador for The Passage with community groups, personally delivering talks and presentations to build relationships and promote our work.
- Manage and oversee a programme of station and street collections, ensuring that volunteers are trained and equipped to represent The Passage with the public.
- Manage current community and events fundraising relationships with individual supporters and groups by providing outstanding, tailored stewardship to generate income.
- Help deliver and develop a range of The Passage owned and third-party events and activities.
- Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.
Desired experience
- Developing and implementing community fundraising plans and activities and a proven track record in growing income.
- Experience of recruiting new fundraisers and providing excellent stewardship.
- Direct experience of working with community groups or local organisations such as schools, churches and universities, generating new leads and managing partnerships.
- Experience of planning, organising and delivering new projects and/or events.
- Recruiting and supervising volunteers.
Desired knowledge
- Community Fundraising products, events and trends.
- Developing effective fundraising propositions.
- Digital fundraising and online fundraising platforms.
- Project management skills demonstrating the ability to manage several campaigns/activities at the same time.
