The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.
The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.

The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. As the Product Development Lead you will be a crucial role within the fundraising team, focusing on the strategic planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising products. This position is pivotal in identifying innovative opportunities that resonate with the charity's strategic vision, leading efforts in insight gathering, ideation, prototyping, and testing. The aim is to craft fundraising products that not only raise funds but also enhance the quality of life for the beneficiaries.
In addition to product creation and development, this role involves extensive collaboration with various stakeholders across the three charities, including NHS front-line staff, directors, and senior leadership, to foster a culture of innovation and support for new initiatives. As part of the Fundraising Innovation strategy, the role encompasses leading new product development sprints, analysing fundraising events, and working closely with managers to capitalise on collaborative opportunities, all aimed at increasing income and diversifying the funding base.
They are seeking someone who has a strong understanding of new product development principles and the ability to take products from concept to market, ideally gained within a fundraising setting. You will have experience using data insight for decision-making, and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Experience in building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the organization, as well as knowledge of fundraising regulation, databases, and Facebook fundraising, are highly desirable attributes for this role.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. - Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
- Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Development and Outreach Officer to play a key role in mobilising resources, expanding the network, and raising awareness about child marriage globally. The Development and Outreach Officer will work within the Development and Outreach Team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, lead the development of grant proposals and reporting processes, and support with outreach events.
We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with previous experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise. You will have a proven track record of writing funding proposals for trusts and foundations, excellent relationship management and impeccable written communication skills.

£32,600 rising on an annual incremental basis. Girls Not Brides also offers a generous 10% pension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal development, grant management and reporting
- Develop concept notes and proposals, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure alignment with Girls Not Brides’ priorities and with donor requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets, work plans, and other supporting materials for grant applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.
- Support in monitoring grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Prepare timely and accurate donor reports and updates.
Donor cultivation and stewardship
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors to expand Girls Not Brides’ network and strengthen collaborations.
Fundraising strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to diversify and increase Girls Not Brides’ funding base, in alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from diverse sources, including trusts and foundations, governments and corporates.
- Collaborate with Girls Not Brides’ internal teams (regional, finance, communications, learning and impact teams) to maximise fundraising opportunities.
Outreach events
- Support the team in the planning and implementation of events and outreach work throughout the year, working with other teams in the Secretariat, our members and partners.
- Represent Girls Not Brides at meetings, conferences, and events to network with existing and potential donors, to promote the organisation's mission and impact.

About the role:
We are looking for two exceptional Senior Philanthropy Managers – Health to join our Fundraising & Supporter Development (F&SD) team to significantly increase philanthropic income for health fundraising priorities across King’s College London (KCL). The roles will focus on major gifts (£100k - £3m gift level) to raise funds in support of the Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences (FoLSM) and the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care (NMPC).
