Main purpose of role: To manage the day-to-day running of our grant programmes to organisations and support the practical implementation of any new grant programmes from application process through to due diligence and record maintenance.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Grant management
- Act as the first point of contact for grants to organisations.
- Manage a portfolio of organisational grants that deliver our theory of change outcomes.
- Provide full grant management of our organisational grants, including: preparing grant deeds, keeping track of payments and reporting requirements, distilling learning, to grant renewal considerations.
- Organise and conduct regular meetings with funded organisations to learn alongside organisations and see the work in action.
- Implement grant making processes that reflect best practice and encourage learning through our grant making.
- Keep up-to-date with changes and developments in the external environment and work with colleagues to reflect this in strategy and practice.
Grant programme development
- Undertaking scoping and research for new grant programmes, and developing practical knowledge about new programme areas as required.
- Providing project management support for new grant programmes alongside the Senior Grants Manager.
- Taking a lead on the negotiation of new grant agreements.
- Managing the day-to-day processes required by any new grant programme from concept through to advertising the fund, assessing grant applications, due diligence, writing recommendation papers to trustees, to awarding funding and gathering and sharing learning.
Other activities
- Working with the Impact team to develop our monitoring and evaluation capabilities with funded organisations.
- Working with the Partnerships and Participation Manager and Policy and Best Practice Manager to ensure that our grant making processes are informed by the key stakeholders.
- Working with our fundraising and communication team to ensure we are communicating effectively with supporters about our work.

Role Overview:

About the role
As the Senior Philanthropy Lead at Bookmark, you will work with the Head of Fundraising to manage and grow our philanthropy portfolio within the wider strategy. You will lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both the Philanthropy Manager and Senior Fundraising Executive. Your role will involve proactively researching and identifying new potential Bookmark major donors and working with trustees, staff, and the Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions.

Role Summary
As our Director of Philanthropy, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future where everyone chooses delicious, healthy food that is good for all humans, animals, and the planet. Responsibilities
1. Major Gifts, Corporates and Foundations

Identify and prepare proposals for new revenue streams (think outside the box!), with an emphasis on the climate-food nexus. This includes potential HNWIs as well as large institutions, corporates and climate foundations.

Qualifications
Required:

The Role
FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.
This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.
Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proven Individual Giving professional to help drive innovation in supporter retention and development and make a decisive contribution to a high-performing team.
Main areas of responsibility
1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans
- Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis
- Develop and implement a rolling programme of Regular Giving Asks.
2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving
- Work with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager on planning, delivering and managing a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the point of acquisition
- Actively monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate disengagement
- Hold regular catch-ups with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager to optimise collaborative working across both teams
- Keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in Supporter Stewardship and apply learnings as appropriate on retention initiatives.
3.Maximise opportunities for cross-team campaigns

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, Senior Philanthropy Manager and the wider team to support the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors who fund a variety of activity at Serpentine – from exhibitions and our summer Pavilion programme, to live events and our Ecologies, Arts Technologies and Civic Engagement projects. You will identify and research potential major donors, developing a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the Philanthropy team can reach their annual targets.
You will provide full administrative support to the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Manager to maximise the Serpentine’s income from our international group of major donors, ensuring processes are followed correctly and all administration is efficient, accurate and delivered to deadline.
