Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week or part time 30 hours per week
Salary: £30,371 - £39,716 (pro rata for part time working)
Contract: Permanent (hybrid working)
Area of work: Predominantly in the west of our area (may be required to assist across other parts of the South East).

About the Role
SERT’s ambition is to reach as many people as possible in the South East, to teach and show them the importance of rivers in the environment, and how everyone can play a part in restoring them. We also want to be more reflective of the diverse communities who live in the South East, and build partnerships within these communities to reach a broader audience.
This role will lead the development and delivery of volunteering and community outreach activities that connect people with their local rivers. Activities will include practical volunteering such as river clean-ups, planting days, and invasive species control, as well as citizen science, guided walks, and community workshops.
About you
For this role we are looking for someone who is:
- A self starter who is able to research, approach and secure funds for developing your programme of delivery.
- Enjoys and has a demonstrable experience writing, organising and managing a programme for volunteers and communities.
- Enjoys seeking out new opportunities and funding as well as keeping your existing volunteers engaged.
- A people person, who is able to plan, organise and multi task. You can think on your feet whilst being adaptable to varying situations, always remaining calm.
- Deeply passion and understanding of our natural environment and enjoy outdoor activities.

We are recruiting a Head of Care Services to join our senior team and to play their part in the ongoing development of our activities, ensuring that we maintain high quality standards and a person-centred approach. The ideal applicant will have experience in ensuring the care and wellbeing of individuals, ideally with learning disabilities, autism and mental health, including the preparation of the range of paperwork and audits covering all aspects of care in a Day Centre setting,
The postholder will have knowledge of managing staff and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes, experience of interacting with Social Services and Health professionals, knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and managing the minimising of risk, strong I.T and communication skills and ability to contribute as part of a team and on their own initiative.
A full clean U.K. driving licence and qualification in Health and Social Care are welcomed.

Finance Coordinator is a new role to support our expanding services.
This newly created role will form part of our Finance Team. As a member of a small but dynamic team, you will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Head of Finance. Your role will be critical to our success, with your principal responsibilities including:
- processing purchase ledger invoices
- inputting bank and all financial transactions onto the Xero accounting system
- recording donations to Xero accounting system
- reconciling donations, stewardship and CAF transactions with Xero
- reconciling cheques, standing orders and Stripe transactions with Xero
- processing the weekly payment runs ensuring that all payments are paid on time
- processing staff and volunteer expenses
You will have the support of our excellent and established Finance Team, which is central to the smooth and effective running of our operations. You will be responsible for liaising with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, as well as our Trustees, partners and suppliers.
