About the role:

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser you will use your core knowledge and skill to reflect on strategy, relationship building and leading our charitable profile and income streams.

You will develop and influence strategy formation with supporters and other stakeholders to identify and actively seek out and engage trusts, foundations, and other funders by writing compelling and comprehensive funding bids, presentations, and applications.

You will work collaboratively with Senior Management Team to enhance stewardship to enable creative, effective, and appropriate activities to promote the development of sustainable engagement with supporters.

About you:

You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of trusts and grants fundraising in a complex organisation as well as experience of prospecting, writing, and managing the application process. Ability to develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders is vital.

In this role you will need excellent communication and IT skills together with demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and work proactively. Understanding of the health/housing sector would be advantageous.

Trust Fundraising Lead

The Brendoncare Foundation is seeking an experienced Trust Fundraising Lead to join our dedicated and growing fundraising team. The role will lead on the development of our trust fundraising strategy, from development of the Case for Support, through to donor stewardship, application writing and submission.

Our fundraising programme is a vital support for our vision of transforming the culture of ageing.

The day-to-day of this role will include working with our delivery teams to devise projects for funding, ensuring you have the information required to make this a success. You will hold relationships with key trust donors, organising meetings pre application and building relationships with new donors to improve success rates.

Applications will include specified and restricted projects, general unrestricted funding and capital projects as required. This role will lead on all applications below £25,000 per year and support the Head of Fundraising with applications larger than this.

What will I be doing?

Strategy, research and prospect development

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Trust Fundraising strategy, aligned with the financial targets and goals set by the organisation.
• Research and develop a large trust pipeline including warm and cold donors

Case for Support and application writing

• Draft specific applications from the case for support to meet donor requirements, ensuring applications are engaging, detailed and accurate
• Lead on collating data for the need of our services, pulling together research and working with delivery teams to collate impact data
• Working against specific KPIs for application submissions and income targets, reporting to Head of Fundraising against these monthly

Reporting

• Lead on the writing of reports to Trusts from which we have received funding
• Lead on engaging with the Trust after having received funding to keep them warm to future applications

Relationships

• Work collaboratively with the fundraising team, Trustees, care homes and community / club services team, staff and the central office team.
• Create and maintain effective relationships with external contacts to include prospective donors, community groups, volunteers and supporters.
• Support the wider work of the fundraising team where required, including at occasional evening and weekend events.

Maintain records of all donor and prospect relationships on our CRM system.

• Maintain high standards of donor care and stewardship.
• Keep abreast of fundraising activity and trends across the charity community, corporate and events sector.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Brendoncare’s work, in order to develop a compelling case for support for a range of projects and initiatives.

Corporate Responsibilities

• Promote Brendoncare’s charitable ethos, act as an ambassador for our services and support fundraising initiatives to maximise voluntary income for our charity.

What do I need to have to apply?

 Essential requirements

• Demonstrable experience of achieving income targets through trust and grants fundraising through submission of high-quality applications and effective donor stewardship.
• Minimum of 2 years in a grant writing role
• Successful 5 figure multi-year applications
• Experience of working in a target driven environment, ideally within a fundraising team
• Experience of using IT software including Microsoft Office and a fundraising Customer Relationships Management Tool
• Excellent and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to network at all levels.
• Able to use own initiative to work autonomously and also to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to identify opportunities to benefit Brendoncare.

Who we are looking for

You will have a track record of success in raising income in a charity environment, alongside knowledge of the requirements of the fundraising regulator and best practice in the sector.

You will bring experience of working across a range of income generation areas and activities, including membership, HNWIs, corporate, and trusts and foundations. It is essential that candidates demonstrate their ability to identify, build and maintain strong donor, sponsor and supporter relationships. You should also be familiar with managing engagement and communications programmes, particularly through digital means.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. About the Role

There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to recruit a Fundraising Manager who can help take our fundraising work to the next level.

The Fundraising Manager will work with the team to drive Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be on strengthening our existing corporate partnerships pipeline, and managing new and existing corporate relationships. They will continue to develop and adapt the Learning with Parents proposition for corporate partnerships ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact on our shared mission. 

The Fundraising Manager will also support our work with High Net Worth Individuals and Trust and Foundations. Their responsibilities will also include line management of our Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their aims and objectives.

The Fundraising Manager will represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking events to raise our profile, build relationships and promote parental engagement in the charitable and education sectors.

Areas of Responsibility

Building a pipeline of corporate partners

• Working closely with Learning with Parents’ CEO and COO, research, qualify and prioritise prospects to create a buoyant pipeline.

• Maintain and update the prospect pipeline. 

• Engage with and cultivate potential corporate partners to develop meaningful collaborations with shared goals.

Stewarding new and existing funders

• Writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations and other trusts and foundations.

• Manage and steward Learning with Parents’ corporate partners, trust and foundations and other donors.

• Fulfil any donor due diligence requirements. 

• Draft compelling update reports and other written materials as required.

Feeding into the fundraising strategy 

• Input into Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy.

• Feed into discussions around what the Fundraising team should look like as the organisation grows.

Responding to new opportunities

• Engage with new fundraising opportunities such as Awards and connections with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). 

• Develop and adapt Learning with Parents’ proposition for corporate partners, ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact of our shared mission. 

• Represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking to raise our profile.

• Update Learning with Parents’ case for support and other fundraising resources to meet new funding needs and opportunities.

Line Management

• Directly line manage Learning with Parents’ Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their goals and objectives.

About You 

Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great. However, we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are transferable from jobs in other sectors, such as relationship development, account management and business development. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate as necessary.

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

Trust and foundations

• Update the trusts and foundations database and managing the pipeline of activity
• Prepare tailored applications to trusts and foundations

• Day to day management of fundraising budget, creating and monitoring income targets and delivering compelling company messaging around charitable giving on and offline. 

Ideal candidates will have skills and experience as shown in the candidate pack including:

• Evidence of alignment with charity’s vision, mission, values and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Lived experience of disabling or marginalising barriers.
• Understanding and experience of performing arts landscape, key figures, organisations and funders.

• Fundraising track record, delivering against targets (in a similar sized arts or not-for-profit) and of securing significant donations at the five-figure level or more.

• Thorough knowledge of the relevant fundraising legislation, regulations and financial issues and fundraising obligations of arts charities/Arts Council National Portfolio Organisations.

• Proactive approach to continuing professional development.
• Experience of dealing with public sector organisations at a senior level.
• Membership of relevant educational and/or professional bodies.

The Role:

Fundraising at Julian House is stepping into its next phase of growth, and we are looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the team to new heights.

Fundraising generates vital income for the charity, helping us to provide life-changing and life-saving support for vulnerable people across the South West. We are looking for someone who can grow income across a range of streams in support of this mission, with a focus on regular giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, and legacies.

You will be leading a small team of committed, creative fundraisers, with the autonomy to establish new work streams from scratch and develop your team to help you deliver ambitious strategies and campaigns.

This is an exciting time to be joining Julian House, as the charity seeks to establish itself as a significant, force for tackling social exclusion across the South West. The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in this by developing new, high-impact relationships with individuals, businesses and trusts which generate meaningful income for the charity.

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing our wide-ranging fundraising portfolio, working with your team to maintain our existing supporter base and recruit new supporters for Julian House from across the South West.
• Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Director to develop new strategies for growth from regular givers, major donors, legacies, and corporate partnerships.
• Working with your team to bring new strategies to life, upskilling them to deliver as required.  
• Building and stewarding relationships with high-value supporters (individuals, corporates and trusts) to secure sustainable income.
• Creating and delivering inspiring annual fundraising appeals with your team which generate substantial income for the charity.
• Overseeing a calendar of fundraising events and community engagement in our Bath heartlands.
• Ensuring that the Donorfy CRM system is being used to its full potential to track performance of fundraising; target campaigns according to supporter profile; and report on the data we capture to shape current and future activity.

Qualifications / Requirements: 

• Significant knowledge and experience of a wide range of fundraising; with a demonstrable track record of growing income in at least two of our fundraising growth areas: legacies, major donors, corporate partnerships or regular givers.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategies, including setting and overseeing strategic projects led by others.
• Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential. 
• Knowledge of the homelessness or social inclusion sectors would be desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

Product and Project Management

• To help plan, deliver and develop portfolio of products, across both virtual events, community and event fundraising disciplines, to achieve KPIs and income targets.
• To project manage and lead on the successful delivery of fundraising products, ensuring clear schedules are in place and internal teams and other stakeholders are briefed and managed appropriately.
• To develop and deliver communication and content plans, maximising engagement from supporters and, in turn, remittance and average gift.

Supporter Care and Stewardship

• To help develop, and lead on the delivery of, effective and engaging cross-channel supporter journeys for participants including, but not limited to, email, social and direct mail, and develop resources, content and materials as required.
• To test and optimise supporter journeys to maximise remittance, average gift and retention, taking recommendations forward to provide the best possible supporter experience and ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.

Marketing and Digital

• To work with the fundraising products manager, internal teams and the community & events marketing team to develop effective marketing activity.
• To help develop approaches and assets, such as content and resources, for products in your care to drive engagement from supporters, remittance and average gift, across a range of channels.
• To work with digital engagement and the community & events marketing team to monitor and report on performance, including the most effective channels, creative and audiences, to help ensure investment is maximised.

About You

Ideally, you will be someone with a real drive and a passion for charity fundraising. Who is digitally focused, driven by insight and understands the importance of great stewardship experience.

You'll have experience in a range of fundraising activities including virtual events. Adept at supporter stewardship and journeys through a variety of channels, such as digital communities, phone, and email. You'll have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs. As well as being highly organised, comfortable managing projects and if needed the ability to work to tight deadlines
