Job description

Neighbourhood Watch Network (NWN) is the representative body for the Neighbourhood Watch charities and the 32 Neighbourhood Watch Police Force Associations across England and Wales and the Neighbourhood Watch Borough Associations in London. NWN supports and represents the successful grass roots, volunteer led group of organisations under the Neighbourhood Watch brand. We are funded by the Home Office and sponsor organisations in the private sector. The turnover is in the order of £500,000 per annum.

We are seeking an interim Head of Fundraising to cover the income generation aspect of the current Head of Fundraising who is taking maternity leave. The successful candidate will continue to plan and implement the integrated fundraising strategy for the Neighbourhood Watch Network (NWN), delivering growth over the next year and beyond. This exciting post will enable the right candidate to shape and drive the fundraising of the charity during this exciting time. The postholder will work closely with and have the full support of the CEO and the Board.The postholder will focus on ensuring delivery of the fundraising activities for NWN, including securing funds from a range of sources including charitable trusts and corporate supporters It is expected that the successful candidate will have significant experience in one of these areas ideally corporate fundraising where we have had considerable success. They will develop an income generation plan for the year and have the freedom to develop the role. The post is a key part of the NWN leadership team in developing and delivering strategy and deputising for the chief executive as required and will act as an externally-facing member of the NWN team with potential funders and stakeholders
