About the role:
As the Head of Philanthropy you will lead and inspire a team dedicated to generating and growing income from high-value donors, corporate organisations, and charitable trusts and foundations.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Philanthropy Plan in line with the Organisational and Fundraising Strategy to maintain and grow sustainable income from major donors, corporate partnerships and trusts and foundations
- Through innovation drive the acquisition and development of high-value donors and funders to deliver sustainable growth.

We are looking for a Business Development Officer to help drive the growth of Learning on Screen—the UK’s leading charity for moving image in post 16 education. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on relationship building, enjoys closing deals, and is passionate about supporting a mission-driven organisation. You will play a key role in helping us diversify income by generating revenue through B2B sales, partnerships, and sponsorships.
What you will be doing
- Selling our products and services (including memberships, subscriptions, and courses) to meet income targets
- Researching, identifying, and converting new leads across the education sector
- Supporting the development of sponsorship and partnership opportunities with external funders and collaborators
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to maximise value and engagement
- Creating compelling proposals and marketing materials to support income-generating initiatives
What we are looking for
- Experience in B2B sales, partnership development, or fundraising (ideally in the non-profit or education sectors)
- A confident communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills
- Someone who is proactive, target-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong data awareness, able to monitor performance and spot opportunities

About the role
You will be joining a friendly and face paced fundraising team. You will be responsible for;
- Cultivating and managing an existing portfolio of high-net worth individuals and charitable trusts and foundations
- Expanding the pipeline of high-net worth individuals and charitable trusts and foundations by identifying and unlocking networks across our charity, hospitals, supporters and funder communities
- Soliciting five and six figure gifts from high-net worth individuals and charitable trusts and foundations, both verbally and by creating compelling funding proposals
- Supporting the Head of Strategic Projects to identify and develop high value (six figure plus) charitable trust and foundation opportunities and bids that align with the charity's ambitions
About you
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Proven experience of securing five and six figure gifts from major donors and/or charitable trusts and foundations from first approach through to solicitation and stewardship
- Experience of fundraising within complex organisations such as the NHS, Higher Education or larger charities
- Proven experience of managing and developing high-value funder relationships
- Experience of identifying opportunities and matching donor interests with the priorities of the hospital, developing inspiring asks and proposals

Brain Tumour Research is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraiser to join our team. As a key part of our fundraising efforts in our West region, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives to increase our profile and supporter base in South Wales, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate income across a range of community fundraising initiatives and events, with the opportunity to lead on key projects
- Steward supporters to help drive the charity’s fundraising activities and growth
- Work with the fundraising team to develop and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers, donors, partners, and key stakeholders
- Contribute towards the growth and success of fundraising efforts, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the vital ongoing funding of brain tumour research
Requirements:
- At least one year of fundraising experience, with a proven track record in income generation
- Strong experience in supporter stewardship
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire supporters and partners alike
- Passion for Brain Tumour Research and its mission to fund research and ultimately find a cure
