Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as a Mass Participation Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of the charity’s mass participation fundraising programme by coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring an exceptional experience for our supporters. You will be the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, provide administrative support across the team, and help maintain efficient systems and processes that underpin the success of our campaigns.

In this role, you will engage with our online communities, writing compelling social media content, and supporting stewardship activities to inspire and motivate our supporters. You will also assist with the delivery of virtual events, help improve internal processes, and work closely with colleagues to ensure the supporter experience remains at the heart of everything we do.

Other key elements of the role will be to maintain the fundraising database, MS Dynamics, to ensure all supporter information is accurate and up to date, and to support and onboard Volunteer Facebook Group Champions, ensuring they receive key documents, have clarity around campaigns they will be supporting on, and ensure they feel valued.

• work closely with Heads of department across Individual Giving, regularly updating to key project plans and owning the administration of the full fundraising plan for the directorate,

About the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre

The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s Bankside.

Our mission is to provide London with a sober, intersectional, intergenerational, community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and supported, can build connections, and flourish. Our vision is for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.

In 2024, the Centre was visited by over 13,500 people, we hosted 700 events joined by 9,500 participants. 

In 2027 we will expand to Chroma in partnership with The Trampery, broadening our impact and reach. 

Overall purpose of the role

To work alongside the CEO to meet our fundraising goals by:

• Focusing on growing corporate donor base
• Assisting with grant writing if/when needed

As the year evolves, the role’s focus might shift. We are gearing towards opening a second location at Chroma in Bankside Yards in early 2027, so this role will be key in guaranteeing we grow as planned.

Our biggest fundraising moments of the year are Pride, Christmas, an annual fundraising event (normally hosted in November) and LGBT+ History Month. We are looking into capitalising on these key calendar moments, while developing long-lasting relationships that support the Charity throughout the year. 

Key responsibilities and duties

• Support with the development of our fundraising strategy for the next three to five years
• Expand our pool of corporate donors. We strive to work with companies and organisations that share our ethos and are truly committed to our community
• Bring in donations to meet our corporate funding goal of £75,000.00 in the financial year 2025/26
• Design and lead a corporate comms strategy including a corporate fundraising page on our new website and the creation of a LinkedIn strategy that utilises the CEO’s personal page as a key representative of the charity
• Support CEO with planning and delivery of fundraising events
• Ad hoc support with grant writing. While grant writing remains part of the CEO’s responsibilities, this role might be requested to support the CEO with bid writing or editing.
• While the role can be remote, the successful candidate will be required to come to the Centre to meet the team in person once a month on a Thursday

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation. You’ll manage our Great North Run, Cardiff Half Marathon, Paris Marathon and London Landmark Half Marathon, of who we are a Big Ben partner.

As a Challenge Events Executive, you will leverage your knowledge and utilise data-driven insights to identify new opportunities and shape budget plans. You will be responsible for driving and delivering marketing plans with a focus on email and digital activity, as well as coordinating the production of marketing collateral to ensure excellent supporter experiences and efficient delivery.

You will also work with the Database and Supporter Care teams as well as Challenge Events Assistants to ensure that supporter data is collected and stored efficiently, so that supporters are thanked appropriately, and post-campaign analysis is comprehensive. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of stewardship collateral including copywriting, compiling design briefs and liaising with internal teams and expert suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital. Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

TAG Youth Club, an award-winning charity and a youth club open to children, young people and young adults, whatever their disability. TAG started almost 25 years ago, as a group of parents who got together to create an inclusive space for their disabled young people to socialise.  From those humble beginnings TAG has now grown to over 250 members and supports over 750 family members.The club now makes many activities available to young disabled people that would not ordinarily be available to them (such as climbing, skiing, archery, parkour, scootering and skateboarding). Our activities provide members with opportunities to meet new people, make friends, learn social and life skills, and to thrive and grow in confidence and independence.

This exciting new part time role has been created to support the CEO and Head of Operations, providing administrative support in a wide variety of areas including finance, fundraising, office systems and management, premises, promotion, marketing and communications. 

Financial administration includes input and reconciliation of all financial data and ensures efficient reporting, analysis and measurement of data and financial information against set timescales, targets and objectives. H/she will support annual budget preparation and will contribute to the Annual Report.

H/she will track funding opportunities, deadlines and bid submissions and will draft/edit grant applications.  They will maintain the funding database and track Award deadlines and write Award entries.

Office and systems management will include efficient record keeping and databases, maintain IT equipment and oversee insurance and service contracts.  They will also maintain TAG's website and social media platforms and support/represent TAG at external events.  They wil manage DBS documentation, insurance policies and membership subscriptions.

About the role 

In this role, you’ll lead Gift Aid management and associated processes at Parkinson’s UK, working with teams across the organisation to identify improvements and efficiencies in processes; provide regular and robust reporting both on income and declarations; ensure frequent and accurate claims to HMRC and ultimately increase and maximise income.

As an expert in Gift Aid, you will work closely with income generating teams to ensure opportunities are taken to promote Gift Aid as a way of supporting Parkinson’s UK. You’ll take proactive and reactive steps to maximise the potential of the income stream through exploring all new and existing Gift Aid schemes and initiatives.

What you’ll do:

• Be responsible for ensuring compliant end-to-end processing of Gift Aid across Fundraising, working collaboratively with Fundraising & Experience, Finance and Data processing teams.

• Identify areas for improvement of existing processes and the reduction of errors and risks associated with claims.

• Raise the profile of Gift Aid within as an important source of additional income, establishing yourself as the point of contact for GA related queries. 

• Maximise income from Gift Aid and associated schemes across the Fundraising and Experience Directorate.

• Work with key stakeholders to ensure gift aid guidance, policies and processes are embedded and monitored, including new income streams or third party platforms.

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrable knowledge of HMRC Gift Aid regulations, processes and requirements.

• Experience of managing Gift Aid processes within the charity sector including coordinating various stakeholders.

• Experience of implementing changes to internal processes and procedures in order to increase Gift Aid income. 

• Experience of working with organisation's governance and finance teams for delivery and accountability.

• Experience of utilising CRM systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce NPC.
