Supporter Acquisition Manager

We’re looking for a talented and driven Supporter Acquisition Manager to join a renowned charity within their Fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-profile, multi-channel campaigns that recruit new supporters!

About the role

As Supporter Acquisition Manager, you’ll lead on the day-to-day delivery of direct marketing campaigns designed to inspire and recruit new donors. You’ll be responsible for planning, managing and evaluating campaigns across a range of online and offline media, including innovative new channels and products.

You’ll work closely with creative and media agencies, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards — with budgets of up to seven figures. You’ll also line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive and oversee their development and performance.

This role sits within the Individual Giving team, where you’ll have the chance to influence strategy, test new ideas, and contribute to the charity’s mission.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Significant experience in direct marketing or fundraising, delivering successful multi-channel campaigns.
• A proven track record of recruiting new donors and testing new approaches.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with agencies and stakeholders.
• Experience managing large budgets and using data insights to optimise performance.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate others.
• Knowledge of UK fundraising regulations, GDPR, and digital channels (e.g. paid social, PPC) would be an advantage.

Context and purpose of the role

It’s an exciting time to join the Ramblers as we have recently refreshed our strategy to support the delivery of our long-term ambitions.

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.

Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
• Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
  • Developing propositions and cases for support
  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
  • Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
• Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns

Donor stewardship

• Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
• Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
• Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion

Data and reporting

• Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
• Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
• Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
• Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising

Relationships

• Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
• Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
• Competent in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience of working with CRM systems

Desirable:

• Experience of working with the Salesforce CRM
• Experience of legacy marketing, or an understanding of charity legacy giving
• Experience of using digital marketing tools including Mailchimp and social media advertising platforms

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.

Our Fundraising team is growing and as such, we’re looking for a creative and passionate individual to join us in a brand-new role of Membership & Individual Giving Manager.

Membership is one of the key strategic priorities to achieve unrestricted income over the next five years, and in this role, you’ll be overseeing recruitment, retention and managing attrition of members, understanding our members and creating relevant offers and experiences. The time spent on each area be approximately, membership 60%, IG 30% and legacies 10%.

About the role:

The British Museum is embarking on one of the most significant cultural redevelopment projects undertaken anywhere in the world. The Philanthropy Team, as a key function of Development, will play a vital role in enabling the Museum's vision for the future. We have a great opportunity for a Campaign Data Officer working for a fantastic medical health charity. This role will be perfect for someone with experience of using Power BI, analysing data and creating reports.

As part of this crucial role, the Campaign Data Officer will support the fundraising operations team to report on the department strategy for a large fundraising campaign and deliver complex information in a digestible and easy-to-understand format using PowerBI.

You will be responsible for creating intricate data reports across the department. You will work closely with colleagues to generate accurate and quality-assured reports for publication.

To be successful as the Campaign Data Officer, you will need:

• Experience in a similar role working on data analysis and reporting
• Understanding of management and functionality of CRM systems
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, ETL tools and PowerBi

The Role

This is an exciting new role in a newly created team, formed to acquire strategic corporate partnerships and community connections. Main responsibilities will include:

• Developing a robust pipeline of future support focussing on high value relationships.
• Delivering engagement strategies and products to enhance the conversion rate of your pipeline.
• Developing and delivering a relationship stewardship plan for all corporate partners.
• Delivering an individual income target.
• Tracking and monitoring income and pipeline values to support with forecasting and budgeting.

The Person

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You should be excited by the prospect of building a new pipeline and portfolio of corporate partners and be confident stewarding relationships in this space. 

You must be able to work flexibly to maximise opportunities across Scotland, and have the initiative and ability to work with autonomy. Previous experience in fundraising is desirable; however, we are also keen to speak with people who also have the knowledge and experience in building relationships and are keen to transfer this skillset into the rewarding world of fundraising!

Your Impact

The Director of Strategic Partnerships reports to the CEO and is a part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), all of whom are Christian.  The SLT is responsible for the leadership, culture and Christian values of Keychange in the central office and community sites.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Nations Trusts and Foundations Officer to help us grow and strengthen our funding from charitable trusts and foundations - specifically those supporting our work in Carers Scotland, Carers Wales, and Carers Northern Ireland.

This is a key role that directly supports policy influence and service delivery across the nations by securing flexible, budget-relieving grants. You’ll be responsible for researching funders, developing compelling applications, and building strong relationships with a range of national and regional trusts. You’ll also work closely with our teams in each nation to stay connected to their priorities and help translate their vital work into fundable and fund-winning cases for support.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in trust fundraising while contributing to lasting change for unpaid carers.

About you

You’ll have experience of writing successful trust funding applications and will feel confident asking for grants of five figures or more. You enjoy writing clearly and persuasively, and you’re good at building positive relationships with funders over time.

You’re organised and reliable, able to manage a busy workload and keep on top of deadlines. You pay close attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work, especially when reporting back to funders.
You’re someone who works well with others. You’ll enjoy talking to our teams in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to understand what they need and how funding can help. You’re curious, committed, and care about making a difference to people’s lives.

It’s helpful if you already understand the charity landscape in the nations or the challenges unpaid carers face, but it’s not essential. Most important is that you bring a positive, thoughtful approach and are ready to learn.
