Role Summary 

Every day, babies are born premature or sick and families face frightening uncertainty. Bliss is the UK charity working to ensure they receive the best possible care and support. We’re looking for a motivated Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer to help grow our high value income and build strong, impactful relationships with partners and donors.

• Location: Hybrid (minimum three days per fortnight in London SE1)

• Salary: £33,368 FTE

• Terms:  35 hours per week (part time considered). Permanent

Role Details 

You’ll work closely with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager to support and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, philanthropists and high value prospects. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing creative proposals, and coordinating meaningful supporter engagement.
You’ll help deliver tailored stewardship, identify new opportunities, and work with colleagues across Bliss to gather compelling stories and impact data that demonstrate the difference our supporters make.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team based in London or Manchester.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week to be worked in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). High Value Giving is an area of income growth for Centrepoint, with the Philanthropy team forming part of the Relationship Fundraising Department. The Senior Philanthropy Officer role plays a crucial part within the Philanthropy team, as the team look to build upon their recent successes and income trajectory.

Developing donor relationships, producing important cultivation resources and contributing to the creation of a robust donor pipeline will form key responsibilities for this role. About You

The Senior Philanthropy Officer will report into the Philanthropy Manager. This role will steward its own major donor portfolio, managing gifts between £5,000 and £100,000, and project manage an element of the team strategy to help achieve the Philanthropy income target.

The post holder with work closely with other teams, particularly the mid-value team, within fundraising and the organisation more widely, to maximise income for Centrepoint.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will play a key role in growing high-value income by developing relationships with major donors and building a strong pipeline of future supporters.

Person Specification

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of two years experience in a fundraising role, with a focus on relationship-based fundraising, ideally trusts and foundations

• Proven ability to write compelling proposals and reports communicating complex project information to donors

About The Role

We are recruiting for Events Fundraising Officers to join our ambitious Third Party and Organise your Own (OYO) Events team.
As Events Fundraising Officer (Third Party & OYO) you’ll support the growth, development, and delivery of our Third Party Events portfolio. You will lead on a varied portfolio of events such as the London Marathon, Manchester Marathon or selected events within the AJ Bell Great Run Series.” And “(travel expenses paid for by the Society and you will be entitled to claim TOIL).
You’ll work across multiple events to help us to give our participants and supporters the best possible events experience. This role is part of the Together with Trussell programme, the goal of which is to build stronger connections with our supporters, partners and donors in order to increase funding, campaigning, and other forms of support for our work.   

2. Key Responsibilities

1. Steward a caseload of major donors and trusts

Manage a caseload of c.150 major donors and c.600 trusts (c. £5k-£10k per annum giving levels). Effectively steward a cohort of donors and Trusts who support Trussell’s work and mission to ensure that Donors and Trusts are updated, understand the impact of their support, loyalty is strengthened and income secured.

2. Deliver high‑quality stewardship communications

Produce personalised thank‑yous, updates, impact reports, and tailored asks, and developing some one-to-one relationships to ensure donors and Trusts receive timely, meaningful engagement that demonstrates the impact of their support and inspires them to continue giving.

3. Develop and submit funding applications

Prepare and submit bespoke applications to trusts when required, in order to secure additional income through compelling funding applications. Opportunities to secure income and cultivate relationships are maximised.

4. Maintain accurate supporter records

Maintain accurate records on our database; facilitating accurate data management and effective stewardship. Delivering analysis, forecasting and segmentation for mailings, to enable compliant, insight‑led fundraising activity.

5. Design and manage supporter journeys

Context: Work collaboratively across the team to design and manage supporter journeys for Major Donor and Trusts which enhance the consistency and quality of engagements, building stronger donor experience and improved engagement.

6. Provide administrative and team support

Context: Support the team with administrative tasks, when required to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of team projects and tasks, supporting efficient team delivery and coordination.

Ygam is seeking an experienced corporate fundraiser, or individual with transferable skills, to join our tight-knit and ambitious team. Role Requirements 

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

Business Development

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

• Conduct prospective supporter research; establish and grow the partnerships pipeline, and develop pitches to meet shared objectives, working with the Head of Fundraising. 

• Build strong relationships with organisations that share our values.

• Manage the prospect pipeline using Salesforce, segmenting the pipeline into areas of programme interest and tracking applications, expected and actual income and reporting deadlines. 

Relationship Building: 

• Craft engagement plans to deepen existing relationships and maximise fundraising opportunities 

• Provide excellent account management for new and established partners, including regular and meaningful communication.

• Produce relevant, creative, and compelling proposals, reports and updates to keep our corporate partners motivated and engaged. 

• Identify and execute creative ways to bring our work to life for funders.

• Ensure that relationships with donors (both new and existing) are maintained and managed effectively before, during, and after receipt of funds. 

• Effectively communicate Ygam’s vision, mission, and programmes to potential donors. Delivering and shaping engaging and emotive copy for appeal letters, emails, newsletters, and other promotional materials. 

• Contributing to wider Fundraising Department objectives, sharing innovative ideas, supporting all income streams, and promoting a culture of positive team-working. 

• Working closely with the External Affairs team to ensuring effective use of case studies, photography, statistics, and organisational information and that all communications are consistent and in line with Ygam brand guidelines.

As the Fundraising & Stewardship Officer, you will be responsible for supporting fundraising and supporter engagement across all income streams. This person will have some experience across fundraising already, and ideally, knowledge of community fundraising and managing fundraising databases. They will be confident working in a small team to achieve team income, but also be able to work autonomously to achieve impact. 

This is a permanent role, full time role and offering a salary of £31,000 per annum. It will have hybrid working of 1 day per week in their London or Essex office.
