Duties and key responsibilities

Database Administration (Raiser’s Edge NXT)

• Maintain and update supporter records, including constituent and gift data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process donation streams including MuchLoved, Enthuse and others, ensuring accurate integration and reconciliation.
• Work with the Database Manager to develop and manage Omatic Cloud processes for importing and automating gift data from external fundraising platforms.
• Process and record Gift Aid declarations in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
• Conduct data cleansing activities to maintain accuracy of records (e.g. address updates).
• Manage and maintain subscription forms (WordPress), ensuring accurate data capture and integration with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Extract and analyse data to support fundraising and operational reporting using Raiser’s Edge NXT queries and Excel.
• Contribute to the annual internal database audit, collaborating with the Senior Database Officer and Database Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Financial Support

• Monitor all income and update the income spreadsheet daily.
• Monthly reconciliations between Raiser’s Edge NXT and the income spreadsheet.
• Work with the Senior Finance Officer to carry out income reconciliations between Sage 50 and Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Deposit all physical donations into the bank account weekly.
• Provide general support to the Senior Finance Officer as required.

Cross Function Collaboration

• Work closely with the Senior Database Officer to align on day-to-day data processing.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team on reconciliation and reporting.

Other

• Work flexibly and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, undertaking other duties as required to support the wider operations of Sarcoma UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). CUP Global (previously known as CUP) is a unique, long-standing, and rigorous research programme that systematically gathers, analyses, and judges the strength of the global evidence on how diet, nutrition, physical activity and body weight affect cancer risk and survival. This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful. 

As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Data Operations Executive to join our Data Import Team in our wider Customer Engagement and Experience Team. This role is an integral part of the team who support the important work of the organisation as well as representing and delivering value to all our audiences, both internal and external.

In this role, you’ll get involved in a variety of important database activities — from handling large data imports and automated routines, working with personal and financial data, to making sure customer relationships are maintained by managing queries and interactions from different sources. You’ll be responsible for coding, resolving and importing bulk data exceptions into our Raiser’s Edge database using tools such as Message Broker ETL and ImportOmatic, as well as managing ad hoc manual data imports from platforms like Just Giving, Benevity and Everyclick.

You’ll use our CRM and other platforms to work with live data from our donors and supporters. This includes monitoring data feeds, downloading and uploading regular data files, and reporting any issues to the Data Import Manager. You’ll also play an active part in maintaining and improving data quality through regular housekeeping, data cleansing and updates, helping to ensure everything’s accurate, consistent and compliant with GDPR, Gift Aid regulations and internal policies.

As a key link between the Customer Experience Team and the database team, you’ll support positive customer experiences and help keep information flowing smoothly across the organisation. You’ll also assist with internal data requests, contribute to wider organisational projects and provide training and guidance on database processes to team members and other staff.

This role is fixed term for 12 months covering maternity leave.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Data Operations Executive with good customer communications and a positive, proactive approach to team activities, problem-solving and time management.

Ideally, you’ll have experience working with a CRM database — Raiser’s Edge would be a bonus — and be confident inputting, processing and managing data accurately. In collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners you will work to support research and contribute to the production of high-quality scientific material which can be used to advance the agenda to end all animal testing, including through the provision of the organisation’s digital education service.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of key Science team information resources which underpin our work and provide support for their use across the organisation. This includes responsibility for maintaining a well-organised central knowledge base to ensure our work is easily tracked, accessed and referenced.
• Support and input into research and contribute to the production of high-quality scientific material, including briefings, reports, presentations, posters, and summaries of the latest developments to support the Science team’s work. We are looking to recruit a Visitor Experience Assistant to join our team based at our London site. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis, working 1250 hours per year (annualised contract) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £16,443.76 per annum.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. The Museum is looking to a Visitor Experience Assistant on an annualised contract.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate team member who understand and are committed to providing customer service excellence and who put the visitor at the centre of everything they do.

The ideal candidate will have previous visitor facing experience ideally in a leisure or heritage environment. You will need to be a confident communicator, a team player and be able to respond quickly and positively in a changing environment. Being flexible in your outlook is essential as you will be fulfilling a variety of roles at the museum.

You will also support the museum in hosting evening events from gala dinners to sleepovers and outdoor film nights. An understanding of the importance of supporting and fulfilling a ‘host’ role for corporate clients and Museum partners is desirable.

As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you will have a variety of roles which will include:

• Proactive response to ensuring the highest possible visitor standards are maintained.
• Providing a warm welcome to our visitors and enhancing every visitor’s experience at the museum through your engagement with them and your problem-solving skills.
• Supporting activities, events, general museum operations and processing visitor bookings at admissions.
• Promoting and selling museum guidebooks, services, commercial activities, and events to visitors.
• Supporting the museum’s fundraising and commercial activities.
• Providing a safe and secure experience for everyone.
• Being a first aider and fire marshal. Training for both roles will be provided.
• Inspire visitors by sharing the Royal Air Force story and the story of the people who shape the Royal Air Force.
• There will also be the opportunity to provide engaging talks to visitors.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 1250 hours annually. The working hours each week will be dependent on business requirements (maximum 35 hours per week during peak season and minimum 4 hours per week during off-peak season). The Research Officer role at Marie Curie is a key position within the Research Team and the larger Policy and Research Directorate. You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the associate directors with ongoing and new research projects, including data analysis (qualitative and quantitative), preparing manuscripts for publication, and creating academic posters for research conferences
- Conducting or supporting research such as scoping reviews, rapid reviews, and qualitative or quantitative analysis, and summarizing information to inform research and policy work
- Developing summaries and impact reports from funded Marie Curie research and other research that supports Marie Curie's ongoing work
- Organizing events and conferences, including the annual Marie Curie Palliative Care Research conference, and planning new local conferences and workshops focusing on knowledge mobilization and quality improvement

Elders Voice is a charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Brent. About the Departments:

Both roles sit within the Cathedral and Church Buildings (CCB) Department, which supports the care and sustainable development of the Church of England's 42 cathedrals and 16,000 church buildings, of which 12,500 are listed, to help fulfil the vision and strategy of the Church of England. It also supports dioceses with the disposal of church buildings no longer required for worship and finding them a new future. Through advice, guidance, advocacy and fundraising, the Department provides strategic support on conservation and caring for historic church buildings, making change to support worship and communities, and working towards Net Zero Carbon 2030. Members of the Department engage with dioceses, parishes and cathedral teams, as well as nationally with government, agencies, charities, funders, General Synod and across the National Church Institutions to make the case for church buildings and their vital role in worship, community and national life.

Buildings for Mission team

The Buildings for Mission project is an initiative of the Department funded by the Church Commissioners from the 2023-25 triennium allocations. It is providing £11m of support to dioceses and parishes through advice and grants, structured around three main activities. The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme supports salary and related costs for new posts to provide advice to parishes on repair and maintenance and on developing the wider use and support for churches through community engagement. The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund is devolving £6.2m to dioceses to distribute in the form of grants for urgent and necessary small-scale repair projects or improvement projects. The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMPs) initiative aims at the formation of partnerships to provide maintenance and insurance services to member churches. Pilot projects are being grant-aided over the period 2025-26.

The Grants Officer role within the Buildings for Mission team will provide a responsive service for the grant schemes under the Buildings for Mission initiative:

• The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme,
• The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund, and
• The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMP) pilots.

Net Zero Carbon Programme

The Net Zero Carbon Programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-31, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.

The Grants Officer role within the Net Zero Carbon programme will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.

In both roles, duties will include:

• Assisting the Grants Manager with general operation and oversight of the schemes
• Providing a knowledgeable and responsive service to dioceses as first point of contact for the grant schemes
• Handling general enquiries and pre-application engagement, assessing and responding to expressions of interest from prospective applicants
• Handling a caseload of live grants

Key role requirements:

• For the Buildings for Mission role, the post-holder will be required to come into the primary office location (Church House) or another NCI or diocesan office location (subject to agreement with relevant office management) a minimum of one day per week.
• For the Net Zero Carbon Programme role, the post-holder will required to be home-based, with regular meetings in Church House Westminster and occasional travel elsewhere (up to two days per month).
• These are both fixed-term contracts, Buildings for Mission team (12 month contract) and Net Zero Carbon Programme (12 month contract). There is a possibility that these contract lengths could be extended to the end of 2028, but this is dependant on further funding being agreed.
• You will need to have knowledge/experience of historic and/or natural environment conservation or heritage management OR experience working in the environment or sustainability sector (depending on which role you choose to apply for).
• Both roles require good written/spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work well both on own initiative and good analytical skills.
