Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and family friends who step up to raise children when their parents can’t. 

We’re excited to be launching Kinship Reach in Staffordshire, a completely new contract that will extend our trusted support to many more kinship families. Reach is delivered entirely online, offering tailored one-to-one and group support that is flexible, accessible and rooted in kinship carers’ lived experience. 

As a Kinship Family Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support through a digital model that fits around carers’ lives. You will: 

• Complete online family assessments and develop tailored support plans. 

• Provide emotional and practical support over a structured intervention period. 

• Run online group sessions that build connection, confidence and community. 

• Help carers access wider services and community assets in Staffordshire and beyond.

About the role

About the role
 
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you’ll deliver repairs and voids maintenance services for up to 800 properties across your region, collaborating with our teams and contractors to provide our customers with high-quality, timely repairs. Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field for young people at risk.

We support at-risk young people who are care experienced, have mental health challenges, or are at risk of exploitation or offending.

WHAT WE DO

Caudwell Youth shapes young people’s futures by providing person-centred support to at risk 11 to 24-year-olds through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme.

Our mentoring service is designed to ensure every young person feels safe, heard and supported. Each young person gains a trusted adult (a trained volunteer) who meets with them once a week to support them as they take steps towards a more positive future.  

This year, we have supported more than 400 young people.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To support the Deputy CEO in ensuring the effective delivery and growth of Caudwell Youth’s services.

We’re looking for an Lettings Coordinator to join our team in Bradford.
 
As an Lettings Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to advertise Accent’s empty homes and successfully onboard new customers. You will work as part of a specialist national lettings team, advertising homes directly and in collaboration with Local Authority partners. Your role is essential in ensuring that properties are advertised fairly, transparently, and in line with relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
 
Moving into your new home should be an exciting experience so you’ll work closely with our customers, providing support with the application process, keeping them up to date with their progress and ensuring they feel fully informed throughout their journey. Empathy and discretion are key as you'll discuss each customer's circumstances in detail to assess their eligibility and signpost them to any support services they may need.
 
It's a challenging but rewarding role. Resilience is a key trait as some conversations may not result in a tenant sign up. You'll need to be highly organised to ensure we're speaking to the volume of customers needed to convert an empty property into a customers new home.
 
About you  
 
• Experience in lettings or allocations, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and operational requirements.
• CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent (or willingness to work towards) or qualified through experience.
• Proven experience building successful working relationships with external partners, particularly within the housing sector.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and specific business software.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.

The Role

The Finance & Operations Coordinator is a central position in a small, purpose-driven team. The role provides direct support to the Managing Director and works closely with the Finance Committee to ensure that the charity’s financial and operational systems are well managed, compliant and effective.

This is a broad and hands-on role that involves managing day-to-day UK operations, supporting financial oversight, ensuring smooth coordination with our in-country partners, and keeping our administrative framework in excellent order.

You will be responsible for maintaining clear systems, meeting key reporting deadlines, and ensuring that the organisation runs efficiently behind the scenes. The role suits someone who is proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing a wide variety of tasks with independence and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Finance and Reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, reconciling transactions and processing payments for invoices, payroll and expenses.

• Allocate receipts and donations to the correct funds and ensure supporting documentation is filed systematically.

• Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC.

• Collate quarterly financial and narrative reports from Moroccan partner NGOs and follow up on missing information.

• Ensure that annual accounts and financial reports are submitted in line with Charity Commission requirements.

Operations and Administration

• Oversee and improve shared filing systems (Teams/SharePoint), ensuring that all administrative and financial records are accurate, up to date and easy to access.

• Manage the main email inbox, responding to or redirecting correspondence promptly and professionally.

• Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and annual project visits in Morocco.

• Support the Managing Director with scheduling, documentation, and general administrative follow-up.

Donor and Partner Relations

• Act as a first point of contact for donors, supporter schools, hotels and individuals.

The School Library Lead will be at the forefront of our member offer and outreach, to help us deliver on our mission to support all those working in school libraries, so that more children and young people reach their full potential through the school library.   

This role will lead on providing advice, inspiration and support for schools looking to develop their school library provision and all the benefits this brings. An expert in school libraries, you will be comfortable supporting members 1:1, delivering training to larger audiences, providing consultancy to schools and sector organisations, writing training and resources, or preparing book recommendations. An exciting opportunity for someone experienced in school libraries with knowledge of the curriculum, teaching and learning and children’s books, you will be the first port of call for library advice and expertise, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the membership network.

You will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels relish a busy role. This will include supporting our Branch network, collaborating on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. As resident children’s book expert, you will support with programmes and projects such as the SLA Information Book Award and member book-related events.
