About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as Senior Mass Participation Manager. Leading a team of nine, you’ll be responsible for delivering a successful strategy and operational plan for virtual events and mass participation products, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.

Working within the Fundraising team, this role involves driving the development of engaging campaigns that increase supporter numbers and income, all while providing an excellent supporter experience. Collaboration across the charity is key to ensuring the programme runs efficiently, with decisions informed by data, supporter insights and market trends to help identify opportunities.

In partnership with the Head of Mass Participation, you will help shape and deliver the programme’s strategy, develop and monitor the annual budget and report on performance with clear analysis of any variances. The role also includes leading the creation and delivery of an insight-led marketing strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in mass participation fundraising and virtual events, with a strong track record of growing income. Confidence in setting and managing large budgets, reporting on KPIs and adjusting plans as necessary is essential. An understanding of supporter and stakeholder needs is vital, with the ability to use insight to shape effective communications and stewardship. You’ll also be an experienced team leader who can motivate and guide others to deliver results.

The Jockeys Education & Training Scheme is a successful registered charity (Number 1149018) that provides career coaching, mentoring and practical career development training to professional jockeys, recently retired professional jockeys and  beneficiaries of the Injured Jockeys Fund.

JETS General Manager Job Description:

Industry 

• Work collaboratively with partners, The Professional Jockeys Association and The Injured Jockeys Fund.

Building Jockey Relations 

•    To represent JETS at both Flat and Jump race meetings on a regular basis

•    To deliver drop-in IAG sessions on a regular basis at (one) of the IJF rehab centres 
•    To pro-actively build and maintain a close rapport with current jockeys, particularly during injury periods and maintain contact with jockeys’ post-race riding career.

Career Coaching and Training

• To conduct face-to-face (preferable) or remote introductory session and follow up sessions when needed to produce dual career and career development action plans as relevant

You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. Purpose of the role

As the new Challenge Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

Over the past year, we have seen significant growth in the number of people wanting to sign up to challenge events and raise money for The Passage and we have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity that will take the lead on our third party and bespoke challenge events. You will bring enthusiasm and experience that aim to raise The Passage’s profile and reach as well as significant income. You’ll manage annual events, test new event concepts and support our growing network of event participants. This is a varied role with lots of potential for growth and development. You will proactively monitor trends and conduct competitor research and analysis to ensure that our event’s portfolio is competitive and attractive to supporters.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Supporter Engagement and Corporate Partnerships team to build and expand our events programme, whilst stewarding existing supporters and engaging new audiences. A key focus of this role is to provide excellent stewardship to boost engagement and optimise fundraising. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and creation of engaging content for emails to build a strong sense of community. Additionally, you will be responsible for recruiting new supporters, nurturing relationships and providing exceptional stewardship to ensure long-term, reliable support.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of Challenge Events fundraising, shaping and delivering supporter journeys, developing relationships and organising events as part of a close, collaborative and supportive team. Role Overview

The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research.  They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities.  The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation.  Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.
• Conduct follow-up calls with guests where needed and track outcomes
• Support volunteers who are working on delivering Advice Services e.g triage volunteers and pathways volunteers
• Provide advice to the General Advice Service as and when required

Case Management

• Manage own caseload and work independently to support guests
• Use of Case Management System (AdvicePro) as well as Microsoft Office for communication and document production.
• Support with developing case studies and gathering guest feedback
• Collect statistical information as requested for reporting purposes.
• Feed into the development of monitoring reports for funders and other stakeholders

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;
• Ensure data protection regulations are adhered to, and that sensitive data is handled in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.
• Keep informed of new and changing legislation relevant to the post, and of local issues and policies
• Be committed to the aims, procedures and policies of Sufra’s advice service in every aspect of service delivery.
• Take part in supervisions, personal development training, team meetings and appraisals
• Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the operations of the charity.

National Reconnect Programme Manager

We are seeking a strategic leader for a National Reconnect Manager role, you will manage and develop impactful Reconnect programme across England.

About the Role

As National Reconnect Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a Reconnect programme, a vital service offering family support and mediation for young people aged 11–25 at risk of homelessness. The aim is to strengthen family relationships and prevent young people from leaving home unnecessarily, or support them to maintain family connections where this isn’t possible.

You’ll manage a dedicated team of Reconnect Workers across multiple regions, ensuring services meet high standards, achieve key outcomes, and reflect best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading national delivery of the Reconnect programme and achieving KPIs

· Line management and professional development of regional Reconnect Workers

· Providing specialist case advice, training and reflective practice

· Developing tools, resources and evidence-based practices

· Embedding outcomes monitoring and service evaluation

· Supporting strategic development and service innovation

· Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, quality standards and funding obligations

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced leader with a background in delivering impactful services for young people and families.

You will have:

· Proven experience developing national youth or family programmes

· A Level 4 Interpersonal Mediation Practitioners Certificate (or equivalent)

· Excellent people and project management skills

· Experience creating evidence-based resources and leading service improvements

· Confidence in using data to monitor impact and drive development

· Strong understanding of safeguarding and the challenges facing young people at risk of homelessness

The Salvation Army, the UK’s leading social welfare charity, is seeking two Supporter Acquisition Managers to project manage and lead on day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition appeals.

Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers are  responsible for growing the organisation’s file of donors and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, they will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The roles will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. Each manager will hold strategic areas of focus, be responsible for seven figure expenditure budgets and line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive.

The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors.  You will have a passion for fundraising with a commercial understanding of the charity marketplace and competitors. As well as previous experience in identifying areas of innovation and devising testing plans to launch and roll out, you will also have a track record in successfully leveraging value from data collated on supporter databases, to maximise targeting and data segmentation.

Excellent numeracy and strong analytical skills will be combined with excellent written communication abilities and a good attention to detail and ability to prioritise work. Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the  Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities.  The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.
