Summary

We are looking to appoint a new Procurement Category Manager to lead the delivery of indirect category strategy, governance, and policies, and deliver significant value through market-specific strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier relationship management.

Procurement operates as a shared services function within the Finance Department, working collaboratively across the National Centres of Innovation (NCIs) to provide a comprehensive and cost-effective finance service. We are actively building a dedicated Procurement team to deliver value for money, enhance supplier and contract management, and implement a coordinated, best-practice approach to procurement.

• MCPIS qualified and has a good knowledge of contract law.

• A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

Purpose of the Job: 

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for leading and managing all fundraising activities to generate income for the Sanctuary. The role involves developing corporate partnerships, organising events, and overseeing digital fundraising efforts. The post-holder will also be responsible for delivering effective, measurable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for business supporters, managing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring financial targets are met. 

This role is key to increasing corporate and community engagement, growing fundraising channels, and enhancing the Sanctuary’s digital presence to maximise income generation. The Head of Fundraising will work closely with internal teams to coordinate activities, monitor performance, and identify new opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships 

· Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate donors, securing new partnerships while managing existing relationships and ensure that these relationships are properly managed through regular contact and progress reports. 

· Build strong relationships with business supporters to secure both general and restricted funds. 

· Develop and deliver corporate volunteering days, team-building activities, and fundraising opportunities. 

· Oversee the logistics, including venue bookings for corporate and external events, increasing revenue through targeted business engagement. 

· Review contracts, letters of agreement and other correspondence for current corporate partners. 

Fundraising Strategy & Income Generation 

· Work closely with the senior management and the Board to develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy. 

· Propose and test new fundraising opportunities across corporate, digital, and community fundraising streams. 

· Support and deliver fundraising events, appeals, and campaigns to meet financial targets. 

· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices, including GDPR and the Charities Act. 

Events & Campaign Management 

· Plan and execute fundraising events, coordinating internal and external teams for smooth delivery. 

· Lead on corporate sponsorship and event partnerships to maximise income and brand exposure. 

· Represent the Sanctuary at networking events, industry meetings, and public engagements to increase awareness and secure funding. 

Digital Fundraising & Social Media 

· Oversee digital fundraising campaigns, maximising income from online channels. 

· Develop compelling digital content to engage supporters and attract new donors. 

· Manage social media fundraising activities across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok). 

· Track, analyse, and report on digital fundraising performance, adjusting strategies as needed. 

Monitoring & Reporting 

·Regularly review fundraising performance, preparing reports for senior management and Board. 

· Maintain accurate donor and corporate records, ensuring data is up to date and GDPR compliant. 

General Duties 

· Meet regularly with Trustee to update them on proposals and to provide regular updates on progress. 

· Assist with website content, newsletters, and marketing materials. 

· Always ensure a positive representation of the Sanctuary, especially when engaging with the public and corporate partners. 

· Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to support key fundraising activities.

In this role, you will support a steering group of volunteer parents and carers who oversee the running of the Forums.  Your excellent organisational skills will ensure parents and carers have a voice at key local meetings, plus you will arrange monthly events for parents and carers such as workshops with key local decision-makers.  You will provide opportunities for parents and carers to develop their own networks of support through WhatsApp & social media, and oversee the publication of bi-annual newsletter. Each year, you will use your analytical skills to measure the impact the Forum is having on the lives of its members and recommend areas for development to the steering group, always seeking to improve the service and reach more families.  

You will line-manage a Forum Administrator who will support you and the work of the Forums. 

This important role forms part of our charity’s strategic offer to local parents and carers.  You will join our senior team plus you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending fun community fundraising activities, working with our partners, and enjoying our social events.

Main Purpose of the Post

To develop and maintain successful partnerships with corporate supporters and corporate foundations whose vision and goals align with Learning through Landscapes’ vision and mission. Specific Duties

New business development

• Develop and progress a pipeline of new business development to secure corporate partnerships. 

• Develop and present engaging, creative and mutually beneficial proposals and applications for corporate partnerships. 

• Support the Fundraising Lead to identify prospective corporate foundations. 

• Support the Fundraising Lead with writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations. 

• Collaborate with LtL’s Communications team to reach target audiences with compelling messaging.

• Research and attend relevant networking events to open new partnership opportunities. 

Account management 

• Provide excellent account management and stewardship to strengthen partnerships, deepen corporate employee engagement and ensure relationship longevity. 

• Use data from LtL’s new Impact Measurement Framework to provide inspiring reports on what corporate partners have helped LtL to achieve. 

• Work with colleagues to identify and facilitate additional opportunities for corporate engagement, including practical volunteering opportunities and pro-bono work. 

Strategy and reporting

• Support the Management Team with the development of a Corporate Partnerships Strategy, including income targets and key performance indicators.

• Provide regular reports to the Management Team and stakeholders to measure progress towards targets. 

• Keep comprehensive and accurate records of all fundraising activity. 

General responsibilities

• Keep abreast of developments in UK fundraising and how these can benefit the work of LtL. 

• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with regulations and guidance, including being GDPR compliant and following the Code of Fundraising Practice and Charity Commission guidance. 

• Maintain a sound knowledge of LtL strategy, business plan and the case for investment in school grounds.

Job Title: Operations Manager

Reporting to: LandWorks Project Director.

LandWorks is a national award-winning project. It is a pioneering rehabilitation and resettlement charity that provides a supported route back into employment and the community for people coming out of prison or at risk of going to prison.

LandWorks is a small organisation with a strong determination to get the best outcomes for its beneficiaries and ultimately influence change in the Criminal Justice System (CJS). The Operations Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team and will deputise in the Project Director’s absence.

This role might also suit someone currently in a position such as Head of Operations, Operations Director or Chief of Operations in a smaller organisation…They might already be working in the criminal justice or charity sector or have transferable experience in the public or private sectors

Job description:

General Management:

· Deputise in the Project Director’s absence or as required.

· Support the Project Director (PD) and Project Co-ordinator to manage and organise daily operations with trainees to help support a trainee’s journey at LandWorks.

· Monitor and take the ‘temperature’ of the site as it operates.

· Occasional out-of-hours trainee phone calls.

· Lead morning team meetings and facilitate afternoon de-brief meetings two days a week, and in the PD's absence.

· Act as a core part of the Senior Leadership Team, to facilitate the smooth running of daily tea breaks and communal lunches, to ensure that all trainees, staff and visitors take part and feel included.

Staff Management:

· Direct line management of the LandWorks enterprise team (that includes the wood workshop, market garden and pottery)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year - depending upon experience

• previous experience in Charity Legacy Management or equivalent areas of specialism in the legal sector, ideally with managerial responsibility, with the Institute of Legacy Management Certificate CICLA (Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration), STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or equivalent
• demonstrable experience of working in a senior position in the legacy department of a charity or Probate department of a firm of Solicitors, Bank or Trust Corporation

The team mostly work from home however, our expectation is that we will need the successful candidate to be able to travel to the offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex (RH16 3BW) at least once per quarter but there is also the option to work in the office for three days per week, working the other two days from home. It’s an easy 20-minute train journey from Brighton or 45 minutes from London. We’re located close to Haywards Heath rail station and on lots of bus routes. Please note that this role must be worked from within the UK.

African Adventures Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013 to provide support to 29 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar.

African Adventures Foundation helps by funding food security programmes, the construction of important school facilities, and hygiene projects that will benefit children’s health and education. The role is centred around three core elements: charity management, programme delivery, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

1. Charity management (with support from the COO & Trustees)

• Line management of the Programme Officer in all respects including recruitment, conduct, capability, welfare, personal development.
• Indirect (matrix) management of the in-country Foundation Coordinators.
• Key member of the broader UK Management team.
• Support the COO and Chair of Trustees with the overall Governance framework of the charity including standards, processes and reporting.

• Lead on development, oversight and operation of charity standards, processes and systems.
• Work alongside the charities dedicated Finance Officer in ensuring good financial management of income and expenditure through planning, approvals, and processes.

• Work closely with supporting departments like Finance, Marketing, and Travel Operations on all charity related matters.
• Handle day-to-day enquiries, questions, and issues related to the Foundation.

2. Programme Delivery (delivered by the Programme Officer)

• Ensure that a clear, documented process is in place for receiving, triaging, and managing requests related to volunteer projects and charity support.
• Lead the prioritisation process for articulated charitable requests, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and properly documented.
• Support strong project management throughout the planning and delivery of approved charitable projects.
• Ensure a robust MEAL [Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning] process is in place for measuring and reporting on the impact of the charity’s work with its beneficiaries, donors, and trustees.

3. Fundraising (with support from the COO & Trustees)

• Responsible for the developing and managing the Fundraising Opportunities Portfolio ensuring all stakeholders have clear visibility of funding gaps and opportunities for current and prospective donors.
• Responsible for leading on developing fundraising activities as informed by the Fundraising Strategy to drive income and cover operational expenditure.
• Maintain strong Donor relationships and develop grant applications adding to support a healthy funding pipeline to ensure we meet the charities fundraising targets.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure effective marketing and social media strategies in are in place and to maximise the opportunities they provide.

What We’re Looking For:

Due to the breadth of this role, we would only expect an incumbent to have relevant experience in 2 of the 3 core elements of the role as a minimum, but with a strong desire to develop and learn in the 3rd with dedicated support.
