Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Supporter Care Officer to join our Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team based in London on a 12-month fixed term basis.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

About the role

The Fundraising Strategy and Operations team delivers high quality operations support to the wider Fundraising Directorate including Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications, and Supporter Care.

The role sits within our friendly and dedicated Supporter Care team. In addition to providing operations support to the Fundraising Directorate, the team provides a high standard of customer service to Centrepoint supporters and members of the public.

The role works alongside two other Officers and the team Manager to help steward and grow our compassionate supporter base, securing Centrepoint’s long term future, and enabling us to reach our strategic goals through helping to maximise fundraised income and increase donor loyalty.

The role involves working independently, collaborating with colleagues and third-party suppliers, and using a variety of technical systems to fulfil a range of supporter-related responsibilities.

These include, but are not limited to, liaising with existing and prospective supporters, managing fundraising complaints, processing donations, processing supporter data; and ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with GDPR, Data Protection, and other regulatory requirements.

There is also the opportunity to work on projects, volunteer at events, and participate in a range of training to support personal and professional development.

About you

What you’ll be doing

· Interacting with existing and prospective supporters via multiple communication channels

· Resolving complaints in line with our policy, escalating feedback where necessary

· Listening to and quality checking calls handled by the third-party contact centre

· Supporting with required training of the third-party contact centre call handling team

· Processing fundraising donations

· Maintaining supporter records on the Raiser’s Edge CRM system

· Helping to ensure team processes are accurate, efficient, and up to date

· Helping to ensure the team meets its service SLAs and KPIs

· Maintaining a good understanding and working knowledge of new sector regulations

· Supporting the delivery of strategic projects in line with the Supporter Care strategy

As Centre Fundraising Manager you will develop and implement a centre specific fundraising plan to raise income from the community through a variety of fundraising sources.  

You will be responsible for effectively and autonomously managing the full portfolio of activity relating to the centre and to manage complex networks and relationships which have a wider national focus.  

You will be responsible for fundraising across a range of income streams including businesses, individuals, community groups, volunteers and media contacts.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as occasional overnight stays and UK travel.

The role and its impact

As Centre Operations Manager, you will be the organisation’s senior operational lead on the ground. Working closely with the CEO, you will hold delegated authority for the day-to-day running of the Centre — ensuring the building, people and systems all work together to support high-quality community activity.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining practical problem-solving with people management. You will line manage and help develop operational staff, oversee facilities and contractors, lead on health and safety and operational compliance, support volunteering, and ensure organisational systems and processes function reliably.

Your work will directly enable staff, volunteers and partners to deliver activities and services safely and confidently, and will help ensure Abbey remains a welcoming, accessible and well-run space for the local community.

About the role

We are recruiting for a strategic, results driven Operations Transformation Manager (Scientific Research), to join our Programme Management team and play a pivotal role in driving operational transformation across the organisation.

As an Operations Transformation Manager - Scientific Research, (known internally as a Senior Project Manager: Operations), you will lead cross‑functional strategic projects that strengthen the Institute’s operational effectiveness and support world‑class scientific research. You’ll take ownership of end to end project delivery, from scoping and planning through to implementation and evaluation, using your analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and manage risks and dependencies.

Working closely with colleagues across operations, science, and corporate services, you will design and deliver improvements that enhance processes, reduce risk, and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working. Your work may involve transforming operational environments for scientists, improving regulatory compliance, or deploying new technologies and processes that drive efficiency without disrupting live operations.

You will also contribute to building project management capability across the Crick, supporting the Head of PMO in establishing consistent tools, frameworks, and reporting for the wider project portfolio. You will bring confidence, flexibility, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to motivate others and deliver meaningful, lasting change.

What you will be doing

As an Operations Transformation Manager at the Crick, you will:

Project management

• Leading on operational change projects from initiative through development to implementation with ownership of project planning, timelines, resources and risk management.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to control parameters: scope, budget, dependencies and timeline.

Business improvement delivery

• Work with the sponsor and senior stakeholders to agree the scope of the project, options for delivery and developing the business case to support benefits realisation
• Prepare and present clear and concise proposals, and roadmaps, for review by stakeholders to explain the strategy and approach to solutions.

Stakeholder management

• Build relationships with key stakeholders up to Director and Lab Leader level, across science and operations to gain a deep understanding of user wants and needs.
• Organise, chair, and document meetings and workshops between stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to collaboratively discuss, explore and understand issues and brainstorm solutions.

About you

You will have:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of working in business analysis, business transformation and/or project management roles.*
• Proven recent record of accomplishment for end-to-end delivery of business change projects, involving a diverse group of internal stakeholders, with the application of structured and agile project management tools.*
• Demonstrates critical analysis of business systems and processes, including experience of capturing user requirements, mapping business processes, ability to articulate and visualise complex problems to non-technical stakeholders.*
• Ability to build persuasive arguments based on data, logic and the objective merits of solutions, reconcile conflicting viewpoints and remove obstacles to progress.
• Understands change management and its criticality to the success of project outcomes.*
• Experience of working in a scientific, clinical, healthcare or academic environment (Desirable)

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with immediate operational responsibility and strategic outreach portfolio leadership.

As the Senior Manager: Specialist & Outreach Services, you will provide strong, visible leadership to Catalyst Support’s specialist and outreach provision, with an initial core focus on the Cuckooing Assertive Outreach Service. Managing the cuckooing team, you will provide direct operational oversight while developing and leading the service, ensuring safe, trauma-informed, high quality delivery and effective partnership working across Surrey.

You’ll also manage key relationships with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders, and work closely with the Director of Services to help shape and deliver strategic priorities.

You will work closely with, and be based regularly within, Catalyst’s Women’s Support Centre, supporting services working with women affected by domestic abuse, on their journey of recovery and living with complex trauma.

Alongside this, the role is designed to grow into the strategic and operational leadership of Catalyst’s wider Specialist & Outreach portfolio, bringing coherence, quality and sustainability across services working with people experiencing multiple disadvantage.

The role is line managed by the Director of Services and you will play a key role in shaping the future operating model for specialist and outreach services.

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

• A relevant professional qualification in mental health, substance use, criminal justice, social care or a related field and/or substantial equivalent professional experience, with a strong applied understanding of trauma-informed and outreach-based practice.
• Significant experience working in specialist, outreach or community-based services, supporting people experiencing multiple disadvantage, including exploitation, domestic abuse, substance use, mental ill-health and criminal justice involvement.
• Proven experience of managing staff and services in complex environments, including line management, supervision, and leading programmes or projects within operational settings.
• Strong Safeguarding knowledge and sound professional judgment with experience of holding safeguarding decisions in multi-agency contexts.
• Demonstrable ability to combine hands-on operational leadership with strategic thinking, including service development, performance improvement and change.
• High level of emotional intelligence, resilience and integrity, with the ability to hold complexity, lead others through change, and work in partnership with a range of stakeholders and partners.
