Tearfund is looking for a part time Governance Manager and Company Secretary to support the effective governance of the Board, including supporting the Chair and the Board in fulfilling their legal and regulatory obligations and promoting best governance practice. The role will also be responsible for coordinating administrative, logistical and practical support to the Board, including online and occasional in-person Board meetings. This role would also oversee the regulatory and registration requirements for our offices overseas.
The role is based in Teddington, reporting to our Chair of the Board and Head of Legal and working within the Finance and IT Group. The role will be responsible for providing high level support and advice to the Board, Chair, CEO and Board Committees, ensuring that the Trustees understand their roles and are appropriately recruited, inducted and supported to fulfil their roles. The role will also be responsible for all the necessary reporting and filing requirements required by Companies House and the Charity Commission in their capacity as Company Secretary.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk & Assurance Manager to join our Audit, Risk & Governance Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support to the Head of Audit, Risk & Governance in the implementation and oversight of effective risk management and assurance policies and procedures for the whole organisation.
Role Requirements
You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees from time to time to present on risk and assurance. With experience of delivering 2nd line risk and assurance activities within large, complex or heavily regulated organisation, you will be effective in building professional relationships and influencing and collaborating with colleagues from all disciplines and at all levels.
You will need to engage effectively with frontline and support colleagues to really understand the needs of our beneficiaries and the risks to the charity more broadly. The ultimate objective of risk management at The Children’s Trust is to ensure the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe and effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term.
Although the role does not have any formal direct reports, the Risk & Assurance Analyst will have a dotted line into the Risk & Assurance Manager, providing support particularly on business continuity but also on risk management as and when necessary.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities:
- To provide facilities management to all YMCAES sites across East Surrey. This includes 5 housing schemes and one sports and community centre all owned by the YMCAES together with six family and youth centres that the YMCA lease from local authorities.

About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. Since 2006, we have successfully neutered nearly 20,000 cats and dogs, significantly impacting Romania's severe overpopulation of animals.
Job Overview:
As the Country Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and impact of ROLDA in the UK. This is a remote position (for now) that requires strategic thinking, people management skills, financial acumen, and a commitment to achieving our organisational objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
Lead on service delivery, management and governance
– To provide strong leadership for the service based on a clear vision for the service, clarity of standards and outcomes to be achieved.
– With the Head of CYP support the strategic development, planning and delivery of specialist services for children and families ensuring an effective co-ordinated offer for these families is in place and to develop new childcare settings as appropriate.
