The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised, self-motivated and confident individual to join our Work Related Learning Team as a Senior Programme Officer. This role is a development opportunity, and we are seeking someone who is willing to assist with administration tasks as well as develop their skills in coordinating and delivering programmes in schools and businesses. You do not need to have held a senior role previously for your application to be considered. The Senior Programme Officer will be line managed by a Programme Manager. We would invite anyone seeking experience in moving up from Programme Officer level to apply.

Our Work Related Learning team has an excellent reputation in developing and delivering workshops and programmes which educate children and young people on the world of work and opportunities available to them once they complete their education.

The successful applicant will co-ordinate and deliver high quality programmes for students in primary and secondary schools and young people who are unable to attend mainstream education.

This role will enable you to use your presentation and creativity skills to support development and delivery of workshops and programmes. You will use your communication skills to manage recruitment and liaison with volunteers and communicate with a range of schools and other stakeholders to ensure everything is well organised and runs without a hitch.  You will be responsible for managing admin and physical resources used by schools, as well as preparing evaluation reports.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide support and coordination on a range of programmes
• Manage recruitment and liaison with volunteers' participation in events
• Prepare and deliver volunteer training
• Attend, support and deliver events in schools and other external venues
• Prepare evaluation reports
• Liaise with stakeholders including schools, businesses and volunteers
• Prepare, plan and manage our physical programme resources, including printing
• Responsible for admin tasks relating to programme delivery
• Possibility for line managing staff

As Business Administration & Finance Officer (BAFO) you will be responsible for the smooth running of the administration of the charity. Working closely with the finance team, HR team, regional managers and the senior management team and the post holder will have communication with all members of Envision employees. The aim of the role is to standardise our back-office processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency including Finance, HR & IT as well as event and travel management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative support for all Envision delivery staff including event space hiring, sending out contracts to our partners and inputting information into our customer relationship management (CRM) software, Salesforce.
• Financial transactions including bookkeeping, raising sales invoices and processing purchase invoices, administration related to organisation purchasing cards.
• Processing travel bookings and hotel bookings for the organisation.
• Submitting gift aid claims to HMRC.
• HR transactional administration including recruitment, maintaining employee records, etc.
• Maintain IT inventory and submitting IT queries to our external IT provider.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies:

• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
• Experience with IT systems – Office 365 & Shared Drive.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

Administrative support:

• Assist the Production Manager with mailing specifications, collating internal information, creating purchase orders, and related administration.
• Support the Media Manager in arranging regional coverage for overseas staff in the UK.
• Provide administrative, planning, and organisational support to the Head of Communications and other team members.
• Administer and curate the archive of MAF documents.
• Work with the HR team to collect and store data processing consent forms.

Scheduling and Planning:

• Update and maintain the organisation’s print and digital communications schedule in collaboration with audience managers.

Content Creation:

• Contribute to digital communications including website content and social media.
• Assist in creating monthly print and digital communication documents at design and proofing stages.
• Support design tasks such as picture editing and layout.
• Create subtitles for digital content.
• Participate in creative idea and planning sessions

Updates and Research:

• Monitor staff blogs for potential stories and produce a weekly roundup of social media posts.
• Monitor external websites and news sources for relevant stories and brief teams accordingly.
• Provide research support as required.

Media Library Management:

• Upload and remove media assets, ensuring accurate metadata and compliance with MAF procedures.
• Support staff with acquiring and transferring assets from overseas programmes.

Terms and Conditions

• Location: This is a hybrid role with two days at MAF UK, 1st Floor Castle House, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2TQ.  One day per week will be spent at our Operations Centre, MAF International, Henwood, Ashford, TN24 8DH and the other two days can be from home. 
• Working Hours: This is a full time role (at least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid) but requiring some flexibility on the successful candidate to work additional hours occasionally some of which could be outside the normal business hours.   Hours should be agreed with line manager.
• Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year and 8 paid public holidays per year.

Working closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO & Director of Programmes & Impact as well as the organisation’s Board of Trustees to ensure that the delivery of the strategy and business plan is successful and that the organisations’ assets are safeguarded.

Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. Role Purpose
As a Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of all student-related events. Accountabilities

There are three main activities within the France team:

• Outreach (student recruitment),
• Programme Delivery (education and training events for students),
• Business development (attracting new sponsors)

The Programme Coordinator will serve as the administrative officer for the team. You will support the France team as needed and have specific responsibilities for identifying and onboarding students at business schools, engineering schools and universities across France, both online (social media, email marketing, webinars) and offline (in-person campus events and sponsored events). You will also play a key role in executing our social media strategy and managing our presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Responsibilities include:

• Overall administration of student events, ensuring exceptional communication and coordination.
• Event management, student and partner communication, and coordination of all relevant stakeholders.
• Posting job opportunities on our student portal and creating content for our newsletter.
• Managing student queries and maintaining relationships.
• Coordinating outreach programmes and managing our Student Ambassador network.
• Identifying and onboarding students, managing relationships with academic institutions and partners.
• Maintaining working documents, event calendars, and reports.
• Thinking creatively to improve outreach programmes and manage social media platforms.

Quality Assurance

• Ensuring all information and student data is managed within GDPR guidelines and updated in Salesforce.
• Running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM.

Required qualifications

• University degree (any discipline)

What to expect in a fundraising role?

The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.

A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.

This role will also involve working with colleagues at our centres across the UK to organise workshops that are hosted and/or supported by our corporate and university partners, getting to know our different teams and helping thousands of young people to access vital learning and skillset opportunities each year.

We are looking for a capable and highly motivated person to join our Finance team. The primary purpose of the role is to assist with providing an efficient transaction processing service for the Fund. This is an entry level role, training and development will be provided. The right person will have good IT and numeracy skills, be able to pay attention to detail and have a strong work ethic. Being a good team player and having excellent communication skills is important. If successful you will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for the work of the team and the Fund.

The role is based in our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to prove they have the right to work in the UK.

What you’ll be doing

This role is an exciting opportunity to learn how finance works in a busy and ambitious trade association. You can expect a combination of regular tasks and a significant amount of variety as you get involved in different aspects of our work. 

Your day is likely to involve:

• Building relationships with our busy staff team, answering questions and helping them make use of financial information to support their work

• Providing support during audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, forecasts and budgets

• Working with the Finance Manager to find ways to reduce financial risk for the company

• Performing data entry and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions

• Supporting our accounts payable and receivable functions

• Processing invoices and payments (including membership fees)

• Supporting day-to-day transactional processing and banking

• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

Qualifications and experience required for this role: Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a prior finance or accounting qualification to apply for this role. On-the-job training will be provided and Ukie may be willing to support training towards a qualification for a suitable candidate. 

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm

• Expectation that some evening and weekend work may be required to attend events as the business requires

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process and we would aim to reach agreement to the changes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the London and Home Counties community engagement team to support our exciting work with communities at risk of flooding.

The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe. 
   
Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.  
 

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to London charities, schools, food banks, food hubs and other organisations serving people in need. Our food is a vital lifeline for children and families, people on low incomes, people who have lost their jobs, the homeless, refugees, domestic abuse survivors, the elderly and keyworkers.

Role Overview

Over the past few years, The Felix Project has become increasingly focused on and committed to a better understanding of our impact as an organisation. We have developed an organizational Theory of Change and continue to build on an impact strategy to ensure that our approach to assessing, understanding and acting upon impact is robust and consistent. 

We have worked with external consultants to make progress on this journey, and now have a full-time Impact, Evaluation and Reporting Manager in place. While we have particularly focused on understanding our social impact as an organisation, we are also passionate about our environmental impact. This is an important part of our dual mission, working towards a London where no food is wasted and no one goes hungry. 

Establishing an Impact function at The Felix Project has caused our work in this area to develop and grow, creating the need for further resource. This new Impact Officer role will work with the Impact, Evaluation and Reporting Manager to further embed impact and evaluation activity across The Felix Project, specifically by:

- Supporting teams to evaluate projects and programmes in a robust and consistent manner, enabling them to meet funder requirements and to uncover operational and strategic learnings.

-Raising awareness and understanding of impact and evaluation across the organisation.

-Forming relationships with key internal stakeholders to help the Impact Team to proactively anticipate evaluation needs.

-Supporting the implementation and development of practices to assess and improve environmental impact following the recommendations of our current research on this.

-Aiding with work to make reporting structures transparent and consistent internally.

-Further activities as required by the Manager and the organisation to better understand and improve impact of the organisation and programmes and projects within it.

About the Role

The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife.  Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.

No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.

Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.
